Comfort Suites Columbus

Nice hotel, but the elevator was not working and my husband is disabled. He had to use stairs which were very difficult, pretty much stayed in the room. Very clean.

Very friendly staff. Easy check in and out. Pool was clean. Variety of options for breakfast. Would stay again!

Waited 15 minutes to check in. Elevator was broken and pool was closed. Ice machine was broken. Tables and food area during breakfast was not cleaned.

The room was a large and comfortable. The pool was small but nice and clean for our 2 boys and stayed open until 10pm which was great. The staff was friendly and more than helpful. The breakfast was good and they had honey crisp apples which my boys love. All in all would stay there again.

A lot of parking space

They were going through renovations so I can't hold that against them. Staff was very friendly, breakfast wasn't good. The pool was cold.A lot of road construction too.

Great overall! Pool was absolutely disgusting but other than that it was good!

Property is under construction currently. The price reflected the location and property. However, the room was clean and the staff extremely pleasant

The pool while indoor was ice cold and full of dead bugs. The bathroom had visible dirt and in shower. The toilet seat was round, the bowl was elogated. Tub faucet leaked. The breakfast on day 1 was incomplete (several items out of stock at 7am), milk soured, sausage not thoroughly cooked. The pull out couch was descent, but had to go to desk for sheets and was told no pillows were available. Several places in our room, the hallway, elevator, stairwell, and breakfast area appeared like a renovation had stopped midway-- there were no signs of current work being done. The breakfast area's floor was disgustingly sticky both mornings.

The pool is a little dirty and rundown. Overall, the room seemed clean. Until in the middle of the night when you go to the bathroom and turn on the light and there’s a bunch of roaches The windowsills in the stairwell and in the pool area look like they haven’t been cleaned in a long time The two girls I spoke with at the desk at different times seemed friendly The manager seemed unfriendly The last day we were there, the elevator broke, of course which honestly isn’t a big deal unless you need it and we didn’t.

The hotel was dirty and in very poor condition. We ultimately had to leave when we found bugs crawling in the bed.

The hotel room was dirty. There were chips on the floor. The carpet look like it hasn't swept in days in the room. Our sheets were dirty and one of bed sheet had holes in it. Dirty shoe inserts on the ground.

This hotel is fine if you are looking for a moderately-priced, low-amenity room. I was traveling on business and needed a place to stay overnight ... check in a 6pm, check out at 6am. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, reasonable value for the money.

First of all major shout out to housekeeping. They really do a great job, hotel and rooms were really clean. Property maintenance wise, its started to show its age and lack of upkeep. Elevator makes really scary pops and creeks, our bathroom door had all kinds on scratches on it. It really just needs a little TLC. All on all though the rooms were clean and bed was comfortable.

Very very clean. The sheets smelled so nice! I don't think I've ever slept in a more comfortable hotel bed in my life.

First room was on the first floor. Room 125. Went in and immediately saw that it was not clean. Carpets weren’t vacuumed and there were multiple ants and another black bug crawling around by the door. I went to the front desk and told them. The guy put us in the room next door. Room 123. Before I even moved my families stuff over I went in and looked it over. Dirty AGAIN. Found food behind a bed. A penny on the floor where a vacuum would have easily picked it up. The floor by the couch and lamp was disgusting. I couldn’t tell if it was a mix of dead bugs and crumbs or what. I made my husband go talk to them this time. At this point I was at a loss for words. The front desk guy came into that room to see the filth himself. The manager finally came out to talk to my husband. They moved us up to floor 3, room 310. This room was better. They told us they never put people in those rooms on the first floor because they’re by the outside side door and that lets the bugs in. But the next night I saw people going in there. I’ll never stay here again. Honestly I’ll never stay with this company again. This hotel single handedly ruined Comfort Inn for me. Nasty.

Unhealthy conditions to stay in this hotel. We discovered the sofa bed mattress has blood stains. The carpet in the room has a very strong chemical odor. The door room does not close until pushed hard to close it. The management needs to completely renovate the property prior to allowing guests to stay.

Honest review… I booked a room with a sofa sleeper & one bed for myself & 2 young kids (under 10). When I went to make up the sleeper for my daughter that night we found no extra sheets or blankets available (prior hotel experiences typically kept in room closet area or immediately delivered to us if not) No biggie, I dialed the front desk to inquire & was told they kept extra in the lobby & was asked if I could send one of my kids to come get them. Um no…Not sending my little kids alone so I just said I’d come grab them when I could (still soaking wet in bathing suit & trying to settle my kids in) He did end up bringing them to us (maybe I took too long) but I didn’t appreciate the situation one bit. In the workers defense, he appeared to be the ONLY staff member on duty (on a Saturday) manning the phones, check in, pool area & accommodating guests so no blame to him but this could be a simple fix if they kept these in those rooms &/or hotel had appropriate staffing. It was also frustrating that the bathroom door automatically springs shut & not equipped with a ventilation fan (trust me, no switch inside or outside) So it was either hot, cold, stuffy or stinky. Lol. We tried using a shoe to prop open but door was heavy & kept sliding out. Breakfast options were decent & well kept. Pool temp good. Sofa sleeper springs popped out pretty bad so daughter wasn’t thrilled but bed was clean & comfortable.

First off, the staff is mostly very nice and breakfast was adequate. The water pressure was perfect. That's about where the positives end. It is easier for me to do this in list form. Thin walls. Loud noises all night. Assumed I wanted a first floor room because I am disabled. Ablist. Parking lot in disrepair Smoke free but the outside was littered with paraphernalia. Room was damaged when we arrived. Large crack in shower Furniture in disrepair Exposed/dirty pipes in bathroom Couch bed was filthy Bathtub was stained Past repairs completed poorly Toilet seat did not fit toilet/pieces missing Could hear other room through bathroom vent Tub so slippery it caused a fall Location is deplorable You can get a wheelchair in the room and move about but the toilet has no way to assist you in getting off and the bed is far too high. AC so loud it was difficult to sleep. I would never set foot in this place again. The one night we stayed was far too long.

Softest bed ever. Lots of pillows. Rooms Look recently redone. Very spacious. Young lady who checked us in was super sweet.

I dont think you could possibly get a nicer hotel for the price and the location was spot on for our visit to Otherworld. Its literally right across the parking lot. The rooms were really nice- O especially loved the added touches such as makeup remover wipes and extra towels. The breakfast and pool were nice. We will definitely be staying here again when we visit Columbus. Its also one of the only hotels that doesn't require a ridiculous deposit- you must put a card on file but Im pretty sure thats standard policy almost anywhere. Thank you to the staff at Comfort Suites for help making our little trip an enjoyable one.

Beds were very clean and comfortable, rooms updated, TV had a lot of issues with Wi-Fi going in and out, breakfast was decent choices, pool was okay, outdoor premises surrounding hotel lacked cleanliness.

Wish the pool was open earlier than noon like other hotels. Staff were very rude, juts having conversation was not very friendly. Our hotel room was never cleaned, trash was never emptied, never received new towels. Kept stating they didn’t have any. If we can have up to 5 people in our room, we should have enough towels for our family and also new towels as needed. Super inconvenient

The property has been remodeled the past few months and is beautiful. The staff actually made me feel uncomfortable. I have a service dog. Registered. He is my assist dog. I do not need a handicap unit so I can see where a person who is ignorant of different medical needs for a service animal. 3 different times I was asked by staff for proof of his service status. When i checked in. Ok no problem. The next day as I returned from taking my dog for a relief walk I was stopped at the front door still entering when the man behind the counter asked what room? What room? Ummm. Not good morning. Not hello. Nada. He yelled at me to stop because I called my room number out and kept walking. He made me stop. He asked for proof of the service credentials. I had to take my dog upstairs then come down to the front desk to show him. Much later another male employee saw me come through the lobby and asked from across the lobby, is that your dog? Yes. Do you have proof of his service? Yeh 3 times. I started taking him outside around a back entrance to stay as far away from the front desk staff as possible. Never felt uncomfortable in a Choice Hotel before. I wont go back to that one ever.

The front desk was very rude.

The night staff were rude. We were there a week and they never cleaned our room. I never got any of items asked for as well.

Manager was super nice and she absolutely does a great job managing that property! Will be staying again if back in town!

Great hotel and the lady working there- Angel was exceptional. Very helpful and friendly.

I go to check in. No rooms were available, then I was told I would have to pay a $600 deposit for two rooms after I paid for the two rooms on line! I told them that was crazy so they dropped it down to $400. I have yet to receive to my deposit back. There is no reason why I haven’t received, I left the rooms in a better condition then we received them, never received a noise complaint. I will never stay at this hotel again.

All employees were very nice and helpful!

Elizabeth was the front desk worked when we checked in. She was AMAZING! I was worried about the hefty incidental charge, so she asked me a couple of questioned and waived the fee for my son and I. I was very grateful and impressed with her hospitality.

Same parking lot for mexican food, quick shopping needs, and OtherWorld!

Clean bed and functioning unit. Getting to the hotel was tough along with the road itself being rough.

This hire is in a terrible unsafe location.

My sister and I liked this hotel. It was very convenient to restaurants. I even went to a nearby car wash called Envy. We stayed for two nights. The only thing that I found strange at the hotel was there were only employees of one ethnic group. The employee that serviced the breakfast area did not say hello when he entered. However, he did adjust the waffle battle after I informed he it was too thick. I would stay at his hotel again and other Comfort Suites.

It was fine the room was clean. The hotel itself seemed a little more run down than the images portray online. The area also was not as nice as expected from the images but everything ended up being fine.

This hotel had friendly staff but it was in a run-downed area of town. The TV did not work at all and my daughter and I were both nervous returning to this property late at night.

Close to highway. Close to resturants. Clean.

The first room we were given smelled like mold and it was very hard to breathe. We requested to move to a different room which was a little better but not much. The rugs clearly have not been shampooed recently by any professional. The area was not safe to walk around the neighborhood. There was a vacant building where people were hanging out and appearing to do drugs and who knows what else.

Decent hotel. Nice staff. However lots of homeless people walking around nearby.

Pull out couch mattress had black crumbs in it, don't know what that was. Didn't have sheet or blanket for it, had to go and get some. Breakfast was advertised until 930. Got there at 9, and there was barely anything left. Lots of ppl still in there and they were not refilling, also the juice was shutoff so we couldn't get anymore of that. The pool closed at 10, but after 9 your keycard doesn't work anymore, had to be let in and had to keep letting people in. Also check out is at 11, but after 10 our card didn't work, got locked out of the room while taking stuff to the car and had to have cleaners open it back up. Its in a sketch area, motels in back of it and around it. Lastly no where on the website or on expedia did it mention a deposit. There was a 150$ deposit that I was not expecting. Overall the staff was nice, except for the front desk lady. But I would not stay here again.

Overall it was a good experience. It would be nice to have a nightlight in the bathroom though. We went down for breakfast about halfway through and they were out of the hot items and no one checking the room. The coffee also tasted like it may have been made the day before.

The drive up to the hotel was nithing more than a pothole filled alley. The room was "okay" but repairs looked like they had been done by an elementary kid. Breakfast was awful. The choices were there but even though we arrived ti eat just 5 minutes after breakfast opened, the food tasted like it had been out for 12 hours. Would not stay here again.
