Motel 6-Columbus, OH - West

The room did the job for the price. Mattress was very hard. There wasn’t a fan in the bathroom and the water pressure in the shower was so low. The elevator wasn’t working when we stayed. The hallways had a bit of a smell. Some areas in the room weren’t very clean and benefitted from a Lysol wipe. The a/c took a bit to figure out and get working but once it worked it worked great.

The room was dirty to say the least. It had no kind of ventilation so it was very muggy even though it had AC. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom & the toilet was missing a piece off the back. The microwave looked like it has never been cleaned. Only half the lighting worked. The matresses are cheap & very uncomfortable. We booked because it had a pool only to find out after we got there that the pool was closed down permently. The walls are thin so you can hear everything going on in other rooms. All in all we will never ever book here again.

Well I had some high hopes for this motel 6 and was let down. Room was dirty and tub was too. And to top it off there was no pool. When I asked the women at the desk while checking in she informed me that it hasn’t been in use for 3 years. The pool was the only reason I booked this motel!! Was very unsatisfied. I will say the location was the only good thing about this property.

A bit overpriced motel for the area and its condition. Pet waste right ate the front door entrance, only one pet station at the back but the grass where it is is like a land mine with dog waste.

The motel’s elevator was out our whole stay so we had to climb 3 flights of stairs 2 & 3 times a day. Then the lock on our door quit working so we had to wait until the next day for that to get fixed and the water pressure sucked.

Swimming pool is not open. That’s a main focus of the pictures and it is not open, hasn’t been since COVID. That was never mentioned when booking. also, the hallways smell horrible

I GOT STUCK IN THERE Elevator for about 15mins i Kept ringing the bell for help but no one came for help 😭 Please gove me a refund i didn't stay the night thank you

Everything was seamless. Great reception, clean room. This is a pet friendly hotel, so the grounds, as expected, are sprinkled with dog poop. But, this is on us, pet owners.

Chose this hotel purely based on price and decent reviews - room rates everywhere are so high, and usually for average hotels to boot. This one was still around $85 but there was no separate credit card required for incidents, room was a king, clean and in working order. No shampoo tho, which was odd, plus cups but no coffee maker. Pool was closed, not on our to do list anyway, and we did have some sort of water leak up thru the bathroom floor which I forgot to mention. Otherwise a fine enough stay.

This was a nice basic motel to stay in on my drive back to St. Louis. Nothing fancy, but everything was clean and the bed was comfortable, and the price was right!

Horrible, the room was super dirty and had a horrible cigarette smell, the bathroom had not been cleaned in a while and there was yellow liquid on the bathroom walls, I would never return to that hotel

First room we checked into ( room 134)had a moldy mattress and blood on the sheets. If we had any ither choice we would have stayed elsewher.

They have bedbugs and the smell in the room is nasty. We left in the middle of the night and went to a different hotel.

Nothing like the pictures. Non smoking rooms wreak like smoke. Dirty rooms and not advertised properly

The tub was really dirty. I had to put a towel in there to take a shower. The neighborhood and location was great! There were several stores and restaurants nearby.

This hotel is nothing like the pictures show in internet, everything looks old and dirty the swimming pool seems is been abandoned for years, there’s signs of no smoking everywhere but everybody smokes everywhere, the smells is disgusting, the parking lot is full of ruined cars seems like homeless lives in there, the first night when I came back there were cops in a room with yellow tape in the hall, I felt I was in a narco movie was so unpleasant stay I felt unsafe all the time. No shampoo or conditioner in the bathrooms not even the small ones, the carpets in the hallway looks like they are 100 years old, the price is very affordable but you get what you pay think twice I learned my lesson

I cannot recommend this place. The hallways were so dark and dirty. Our room's floor was disgusting. There were stains on the bathroom walls. The pad underneath the fitted sheet had burnt cigarette holes. There was so much outside noise and it sounded like someone was coming through the ceiling even though we were on the third floor. We checked in late because we were traveling and the front desk person made it seem like I was luck to get a room despite my reservation. Spend a little more and go somewhere else.

Picked based on low price….guess you get what you pay for. It was a bed to sleep in…that was about it. The shower head was broken and flopped around. I was not planning on using the pool but just an FYI it was not opened for use.

Quick overnight on a road trip. Front desk was super friendly, bed was comfortable, room clean and shower hot. Cute retro decor in room. Only downside was smell of weed in our non-smoking room. Did dissipate after running air conditioner for a while.

Quiet place, clean room.

Very comfortable bed. Refrigerator made noise. Toilet seat was crooked.

My room had stains on the sheets, snot and boogers dried all over the walls as well as the bed was very uncomfortable felt like I was just laying on concrete all night. The shower head was supposed to be adjustable but wouldn’t stay upright we had to take it off the holder to actually shower and it leaked the entire time. Our microwave wouldn’t even shut so it was useless.

Room smelt of heavy smoking, dirty floors, suspect mouse poop on floor, etc. Not very clean. The staff was great though. She brought up air-fresher and helped. One night stay, never again but was cheap for the night.

I booked this hotel months before my stay and they called me 3 hours before I was supposed to check in to let me know that they had accidentally over booked me and offered me a smoking room that would not work due to me traveling with someone with asthma. They didn't apologize for the inconvenience or even offer any alternative options. The entire city was booked up due to a concert so I had to scramble to make something work and stay with a distant friend. If you enjoy the risk of them ruining your trip this is the place for you!

It has been great all around. Last at the front desk helped me so much.

The staff was friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. It property is conveniently located to a large selection of restaurants and retail shops.

VERY RUDE STAFF

When we arrived, it took over 5 minutes for someone to come to the front desk. Then when she finally got to the desk, she said she needed to see if a room was ready. It was after 3pm, which is their stated check in time, but OK. The elevator was being serviced and we were told we needed to take the stairs to the 3rd floor. Thank God the guy qorking on the elevator stopped us before we headed up the stairs. He said he fixed the problem. Got settled in and in less than an hour we got a call saying that there was a leak in the room below us, so maintenance needed to come in to make the repairs while we were in the room or we could move to another room. My boyfriend was in the shower, so I said it would be a while before we could get our things together. I asked what we would receive for the inconvenience. We were told a discount or a refund if we wanted to leave. We were open to the discount and asked how much. The front desk person said he didn't know, the owner would make the decision and we would see the discount on our folio the next day. I didn’t find that sufficient given the situation, when I asked the agent if he could find out the discount amount he said he wasn't going to "bother" the owner with that question. So, we requested the refund, packed up and left the hotel, and expect to see a refund from Expedia in 3-5 business days. You get what you pay for...NEVER again!

Came from out of town to visit my daughters. So last min stay for the night. I was very glad that I could pay cash and the check in went very fast and the front desk was very welcoming and friendly

The rooms are always very nice and clean. The staff are alway nice and friendly. I love coming to this place to stay. I never have an issue.

Got to motel microwave was not working called the desk got no results for 2 days out of a 5-day stay. Staff told me they would call back never got a call went to desk staff was very rude when I asked about microwave. I will not be staying there ever again.

The pictures depict a very nice clean pool. Unfortunately, I do not think it has been open for a couple of years. However, the prostitution was not in the pictures but was present on site. The staff was nice and speedy at check in.

Property kind of run down needs new paint job except for the railing they were freshly painted . Didn't notice some prostitution and crack and meth smokers in the rooms they were hanging out cooking food on the grill . Other than that the area was nice around the property they did have security the first night I stayed there and the second

There is a lot of bums that hang around here that break into your core

This is the second time we stayed at this property for a one night on our way to our destination. It is a great area with lots of restaurants, Walmart, and other shopping where you can stock up on essentials for traveling. It is a quiet location, even though it is right off of 70E. Some traffic noise but not a big deal. Very convenient on/off of 70E. Beds are comfortable, very basic but comfortable.

This is a very good Motel 6. Nice clean rooms, Clean towels every day. Very good area, Lots of resturants, Just off I 71. Not your average Motel 6.

Got there late and left early as intended. There is no breakfast there.

The housekeeping staff need to be fired. Sticky floors, cup rings on tables, shower/tub had hair and bottom of tub dirty, no hot water at hand wash sinks. No lotions or coffee station in lobby, no ice buckets or ice. We were nervous about staying there. Out side was an abundance of trash and dog poop.

Pretty sparse room, not even a clock. Staff was nice and helpful. No breakfast at all. Less expensive than a place with more amenities.
