My wife and I came for a bucket list visit. The inn was cozy, convenient to everything we wanted to do, and we had a beautiful harbor view. There are bigger rooms, more luxurious hotels, but it was perfect for us. Stairs are the only drawback, but staff was helpful and friendly across the board.

Very clean room and staff very friendly. The hotel location is in downtown and provides convenient parking at this time of the year. The location is also convenient to shopping and walking around downtown. We will be back!

Outstanding room with a small balcony, looking at the harbor corner room had views of the two sides of harbor had a ladder up to a second floor with another queen bed, which we did not use only drawback. You do have to walk up one to two flights of stairs to get to the room no elevator.

We loved the on-site parking and walkability of the area. Our room was beautifully appointed and we loved the water view. This is definitely more like an inn than a hotel. The women at the desk were very welcoming and warm.

Little rocky at check-in with the front desk day 1. The woman at the counter was not overly welcoming (asked to move our car from the only available parking space when arrived.) I was told the cones could be moved, by me, to park in front as where I was parked was for oversized vehicles. I questioned this as the car we parked next to was the same size. She said it was her personal car and she was “holding” that other space for oversized vehicles. I never had to engage with her again and the rest of the staff were a 10/10. Very friendly and accommodating. Location was also perfect along with the room. Breakfast was hard boiled eggs and pastries with boxed cereal and oatmeal in a crockpot. The cookies in the afternoon were delicious.

No baseboard heat. It was cold and I felt $75 was insufficient compensation for 3 very cold nights. Staff tried to help to the extent they could. Great location in the middle of everything. Would definitely stay there again provided it was in-season.

We loved our stay at the Harborside so much, we started searching for our next booking there during our stay. The hotel was very quiet and the staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. The room was spotless, well stocked with toiletries, extra bedding, bottled water, and fresh towels. The loft style room was perfect for our family of four. Our kids had their own beds upstairs, while my husband and I had a large, cozy bed downstairs. There was a lovely TV area with a couch, and a nice little balcony that i enjoyed my coffee on. The fresh cookies and coffee were perfect for when we checked in after a long day of walking around Newport. The breakfast exceeded my expectations. What a variety they had for a continental breakfast! Steel cut oats bar, cereal, bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt...it was wonderful. The hotel is walking distance to all of downtown newport too, so we really appreciated the free parking. It was just a great experience all around! We cannot wait to stay there again!

This hotel is very clean, staff extremely friendly. We had a harbor view suite, very comfortable, plenty of space for 4. Hardwood floors instead of wall to wall carpet like most of the hotels . Great location for walking, shopping, dining. Breakfast continental, fresh, good coffee. Strongly recommended.

We loved our room. We had a view of the water and enjoyed sitting on the patio. The room was spacious and immaculate. There was coffee and a light breakfast set up just down the hall. We would definitely return.

Just an overnight trip but we can't wait to go back. Check-in was easy as could be and Elektra at the front desk was so friendly and helpful, with great recommendations for food and things to do. The suite was perfect for our family of 3, breakfast was very nice, and the entire property was spotless. Will definitely be back when the weather is nicer!

Giovanna! What a welcoming, sweet person to greet us walking in to register at the front desk. She set the tone for the weekend, so sending special thanks to her for being so friendly, professional, and helpful. The property is set in an amazing location to walk everywhere. Our room (Waterview) was incredible with corner window views of the ocean. At night, the moonlight reflected off of the waves and into our room; it was beautiful. The room had everything we needed and was very clean. We'd love to visit again!

Everyone we met was super helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast had a variety of items to eat. Our room was clean with the exception of a fig newton I found on the floor by the headboard. (LOL)

We had Room 12. We had no problem with the property, but the noise from the bar right outside our balcony was unrelenting until 1:00 AM every night. The noise cancellation device in our room did nothing to subdue the noise. We were unable to get any sleep until after 1:00 AM in the morning. For a room that cost us $1,554.24 for two nights, it was the poorest spent money I have ever spent on a room in 45 years of traveling. The rest of the hotel is nice, fine, whatever you want to call it, but this specific room should almost be uninhabitable secondary to the noise, unless it's maybe wintertime and no one is outside the bar. I overheard the receptionist speaking to other guests checking out and they were asked, "How did you like your room", however, I was not asked this. I was told, "Safe travels", telling me they are aware of just how noisy this room is.

The hotel and room were beautiful but the noise was terrible. We did not know there was a bar on the street directly below our room. It was so loud it was impossible to sleep until the bar closed around 1 am both nights we stayed. It is a shame but we would not stay here again because of this.

The rooms are spacious and bright with a gorgeous view. The real plants and the warm fresh baked cookies were nice perks. Everyone very friendly and the place is centrally located. Definitely recommend.

We had at great stay at Harborside Inn. Our room was clean and comfortable. Jane greeted us with a smile and let us know she would be happy to help us with anything we needed. It was walking distance plenty of shops and restaurants. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again for future visits.

We had Room 12. We had no problem with the property, but the noise from the bar right outside our balcony was unrelenting until 1:00 AM every night. The noise cancellation device in our room did nothing to subdue the noise. We were unable to get any sleep until after 1:00 AM in the morning. For a room that cost us $1,554.24 for two nights, it was the poorest spent money I have ever spent on a room in 45 years of traveling. The rest of the hotel is nice, fine, whatever you want to call it, but this specific room should almost be uninhabitable secondary to the noise, unless it's maybe wintertime and no one is outside the bar. I overheard the receptionist speaking to other guests checking out and they were asked, "How did you like your room", however, I was not asked this. I was told, "Safe travels", telling me they are aware of just how noisy this room is.

The hotel and room were beautiful but the noise was terrible. We did not know there was a bar on the street directly below our room. It was so loud it was impossible to sleep until the bar closed around 1 am both nights we stayed. It is a shame but we would not stay here again because of this.

Very clean room and staff very friendly. The hotel location is in downtown and provides convenient parking at this time of the year. The location is also convenient to shopping and walking around downtown. We will be back!

We loved our room. Very bright and with a sitting area. We overlooked the harbor. The entire staff was so friendly. Very walkable to lots of restaurants and shops.

We loved the on-site parking and walkability of the area. Our room was beautifully appointed and we loved the water view. This is definitely more like an inn than a hotel. The women at the desk were very welcoming and warm.

Lovely inn by the water. The service and reception is outstanding. We had a suite with mezzanine overlooking the water and having been in many hotels over the years, I would say it was a 4 stars! The are having building work on the outside at the moment and changing windows, but I predict this little gem will become a 4 star-rated hotel in no time. Yes, the bar close by can be noisy but it stopped early for us, and it was just people talking playing ping-pong rather than music. The free breakfast was decent with some delicious homemade muffins and cakes. We will return with no hesitation!

Just an overnight trip but we can't wait to go back. Check-in was easy as could be and Elektra at the front desk was so friendly and helpful, with great recommendations for food and things to do. The suite was perfect for our family of 3, breakfast was very nice, and the entire property was spotless. Will definitely be back when the weather is nicer!

Our stay could not have been better. The staff was super friendly and efficient from the moment we arrived until we checked out. From home made cookies and tea/coffee available from early afternoon onwards to the continental breakfast, the service was amazing. Would definitely recommend this hotel and intend to use it whenever we visit Newport!

We loved our stay at the Harborside so much, we started searching for our next booking there during our stay. The hotel was very quiet and the staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. The room was spotless, well stocked with toiletries, extra bedding, bottled water, and fresh towels. The loft style room was perfect for our family of four. Our kids had their own beds upstairs, while my husband and I had a large, cozy bed downstairs. There was a lovely TV area with a couch, and a nice little balcony that i enjoyed my coffee on. The fresh cookies and coffee were perfect for when we checked in after a long day of walking around Newport. The breakfast exceeded my expectations. What a variety they had for a continental breakfast! Steel cut oats bar, cereal, bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt...it was wonderful. The hotel is walking distance to all of downtown newport too, so we really appreciated the free parking. It was just a great experience all around! We cannot wait to stay there again!

The absolutely cleanest hotel we have ever been to. Every corner of our room was spotless. It’s not fancy and is not trying to be. It’s just nice and clean and has an authentic historic feel to it. Can’t beat the location. Central to everything newport. Rooms have lots of lights and the balcony provided plenty of opportunity for people watching (we didnt get the ocean view room). Enjoyable.

I travelled with my husband and two older teenage children. It was our first stay in Newport. The inn has an excellent location, amazing views, great rooms, and excellent/helpful staff. There is a parking in front of the inn and the property serves continental breakfast and cookies and coffee in the afternoon. I definitely recommend it!

Very pleasant staff in a nice, if quirky hotel. We wanted a harbor view room and were happy to pay extra for it. What we couldn't have known in advance was that the noise from the bar right below our window was incredibly loud and went on at full pitch past midnight each night. We were glad to get home to have a full night's sleep. I guess there isn't much the hotel can do about the bar next door, but I want to warn people not to pay extra for the harbor side rooms.
