If you’re looking for a “cozy” hostel-ish place to crash for a night or two and don’t have a ton of luggage, this is the spot for you. Just a heads up, there are no elevators, so you might have to drag your heavy bags up and down the floors. The staff was super friendly and helpful. One thing to keep in mind is that the key access app doesn’t always work, so make sure to ask for a physical key card. If you’re looking for a proper hotel room this may not be the place for you. Moreover, I’d only book this place if the price is significantly cheaper than the hotels. Overall, it’s a good stay if you know what you’re getting into.

Everything was superb. From everything being in walking distant to excellent customer service Very comfortable cabin. The only con for me is there is no elevator...so be sure you ok with walking up and down stairs. Other than that. I would recommend if you are a woman and traveling solo. I was on the 3rd floor. The showers are shared but nice and tidy.

It’s quite a noisy venue, the doors closing make a lot of noise and vibrate the walls, the hot water failed for the last 24 hrs of my stay, if your a light sleeper I would not stay here regardless of price. It is very clean, staff were fine. I would definitely pay more to stay at better accommodation next time.

Perfectly fine if you know what to expect. Space is small but affordable. You're going to hear doors and people around you. I suggest using some noise canceling headphones or the ear plugs they provide you with. Stairs, no elevator (you could be booked 4 flights up). There's more bathroom stalls, showers in addition to lockers for larger luggage, and a small eating area with a couple tables downstairs. All the amenities for showering (soap, shampoo, conditioner, towel, robe). Just wish they had some disposable toothbrushes and razors.

Pros: great neighborhood! Easy check in. Comfy bad. Great bed sheets! Cons: tiny rooms but if you bring your adventures spirit- it works!, hot water in the showers was an issue for me as I came after a party at 3am and took a cold shower In cold night. Showers are not cleaned during the day… I stayed for 3 nights and it was B++ experience. It makes you feel young that’s for sure!

The design and vibe of the hotel take inspiration from its more expensive neighbours. I was worried about sharing a bathroom, but it was absolutely fine, and ended up having that nice social element of a hostel or a gym changing room that gets lost when staying in a regular hotel. I didn't once queue for the showers or toilets, and both provide 100% privacy as they are completely enclosed. It's only the sinks that are open. The only disconcerting element was that the pods weren't enclosed, so sound travels really easily from pod to pod. I heard one girl knock on a guy's pod and ask him to use his earphones as he was playing a video on his phone for all to hear. Now Now is perfect for solo travellers who appreciate a certain aesthetic and vibe but don't want to pay the crazy prices for a hotel room in Manhattan.

Not for everyone. A good idea of reimagining hostel. Negatives can be forgone if budget is really really tight. Otherwise you will not rest peacefully. I liked the rooms. There was no false advertisement. Bed is probably small for tall people. Privacy wasnt an issue. POSITIVE: Very clean. Plenty of showers and bathrooms. Bathroom cabins are floor to ceiling walls and doors with proper locks. Helpful staff. Modern design. Perfect location. NEGATIVE: Noisy. Main source of noise is the doors. It's crazy. 20 times a night, at all hours you here door slams. Messes your sleep. You can be easily waken from neighbor's noise. Mine was eating chips at 2 am and packing with lots of zipper sounds at 6am. You here the most your neighbors. Noise from othe cabins are reduced. Leavinf the uggage isnt free.

This is a hostel-type accommodation, with shared showers, toilets, and washing stations. If that is what you want, you may want to stay here. It was meticulously clean, end-to-end. The “cabins” (32 sq ft) do not have a ceiling, but open into a common space above with slats to prevent unauthorized entry. There are not private sinks for washing up (common showers and privies are private). The rules prohibit phone calls, smoking etc and were observed well. Sound machines made for good sleeping. There is no elevator. It’s a safe. clean hostel, but it’s listed as a 3 star hotel, which it is not.

The locker costs you $10 for 4 hours of storage. Please keep in mind.

I chose the Women only floor and the other women staying there were polite, friendly, and quiet for the most part. Guests seem to be respectful of the rules (no phone conversations, no music or loud content of any kind) since the rooms don't really have a ceiling. The shared bathrooms were always clean, and the cleaning staff came by every day to the common areas. I think its important to note to other women choosing the Women + floor that some of the cleaning staff is male and they do come in different times of the day. I did not have an issue with the male staff but I believe its important to note if you chose this floor for religious or personal reasons. The front desk staff was always friendly and helpful. Overall its a great place to stay if you need a place to sleep but would otherwise be out and about in the city all day. One thing all guests should be more mindful of is the doors-- they are pretty heavy and some people slam them at all times of the day which can get annoying if you're sleeping.

Excellent concept. Like an upgraded hostel with privacy and aesthetics. Slept very well. It was quiet and cool in the room. Remember that no talking allowed in the rooms! They are for sleeping and it worked well! It was also nice that there were personnel 24 hours at the reception. Made me feel very safe. Both the room and the common areas were really clean! So not like in typical hostels, at all. The area was also very nice.Hip and cool and everything you need nearby. Easy access also to downtown and Williamsbour for example.

They need to wipe down the shower once an hour at least. There was hair in the shower all the time. It was wet and gross but the rest of the experience was great sheets or comfy in the bed was comfortable.

But otherwise, it’s a big step up from a hostel stay and a great option for solo travelers.

It may be a tight space, but it was cozy. Bathrooms always clean and staff eager to help. Great stay and I'll be back.

I had never been to NYC before my stay at NowNow NoHo and honestly, I cannot wait to come back. The Check-In process was seamless and I loved my room. It was just enough space for what I needed. It was in a great area with so many shops and restaurants all around, and super close to the subway so getting around the city and back was a breeze. The staff was great and it was one of the cleanest places I have stayed in. It was especially nice that the staff was cleaning so much and kept the bathroom area spick and span at all times, which made it feel like it was my own despite being a shared space. I loved my stay and will definitely be coming back in the future.

Yes it was spotless

The bed was very comfortable and cozy. I liked that the rooms were just what I needed and nothing more. I also liked the hospitality offered by the hotel.

All excellent - but a couple regrets - I wish I had used the complimentary earplugs because the doors are louder than anything I’ve ever heard and I should have packed lighter because of the stairs.

This place is really great for solo travel! The decor is cute, the price is reasonable, and it's cozy. The neighborhood is fun. While the following issues wouldn’t stop me from staying here again, I would warn anyone who is a light sleeper, claustrophobic, or has a wider or longer build (or is pregnant). The space is small, making it hard to turn around with a backpack on. The beds would probably not fit a taller person fully extended. Also, you can hear people showering or using the sink very easily since it has an open ceiling (and sometimes at 1 AM.). These are not complaints but helpful things to know! BUT fret not, they provide an eye pillow, earplugs, a white noise machine, and a comfy robe in each room. I will probably stay here again on future solo trips. Staff was also nice.

the room was tiny, but really all you need if you're on a budget. bed, pillow, blankets were great. I would have appreciated a water cooler, fountain on my floor. The bathroom and showers were dark and uninviting.

Staying 3 nights at Now Now Noho felt like absolute hell. The room was shockingly small, and the paper-thin walls made it impossible to get any rest. I could hear everything—from people using the restroom to guests snoring in other rooms. It honestly felt like I was sleeping in a shared dorm with total strangers, separated only by a fragile cardboard wall. If you’re looking for any peace, privacy, or comfort—this is not the place. I’ve stayed in many hotels around the world, but this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. Save yourself the misery and book somewhere else.

You need to know that this is a loud hotel. I was ready for the small room and sort of looking forward to the experience of it. I could tell that all of my neighbors were making an effort to be quiet, but the doors to the rooms open and close loudly, and there’s nothing you can do to quiet them. I didn’t sleep well at all and ended up checking out after only one night. However—the staff were all really nice and accommodating. The other guests were people like me—travelers looking to save a few dollars. The Bowery neighborhood is safe. NYC is more and more the home of millionaires. The Bowery is no exception. I would stay here again if I was a less sensitive sleeper. Important to note that I slept wearing earbuds playing white noise and also ran my white noise machine. But they were no match for the sound of those doors.

It was super convenient easy I needed a place to lay my head I was in town for work didn't mind that they had a community shower toilet and sink areas for the women but the only negative side I would say would be that I wish I wasn't as close to the bathrooms as I was because the sound kept me up but they do provide ear plugs

Room was uncomfortably small. I barley fit in the bed. Never felt so uncomfortable for $200. Great location but lack of space with a high price tag makes no sense. No thanks. You couldn't control the ac, it was loud and the room had a open ceiling.

Fantastic 24/7 service and cozy little rooms, and a safety bonus with an all-female only floor (thank you!!), a perfect crashpad for one night en route to onwards travels! The only downfall were other residents slamming the doors early in the morning, despite earplugs and white noise machine.

GREAT STAFF! Centrally located. Spotless facilities.

The staff was amazing, very helpful and nice. The location of the hotel was very convenient, close to a lot of subway lines for frequent travel through the city, stores, and places to eat. Overall an excellent place to stay. Some notes that I didn’t realize before booking that’s not a big deal but good to know. While you do have your own room that locks there is no real roof so if you’re a light sleeper, that may be a problem as you could hear someone in the middle of the night. There is no elevator, and they don’t provide shower shoes. Overall a great place to stay and I look forward to coming back I can’t recommend it enough.

During each of the 2 nights of my stay I was wakened at 4:30 am by loud music blasting through the hotel's central sound system, and when I staggered down the two steep flights of stairs (there are no elevators) to the Reception (yes, in my pajamas) and asked them to turn it off the people on duty just shrugged and said they couldn't do anything about it. But even if this hadn't happened, the walls between the tiny rooms are so thin I could hear the breathing of the people in the rooms next to me, as well as every little sound - the crinkling of candy wrappers, moving of suitcases (very hard to navigate in the rooms so there's a lot of pushing of suitcases under beds so one can step onto the floor, etc), and ringing of cel phones even though there is ban on cel phone use in the rooms "out of consideration for others" -- which is a JOKE when you consider that the hotel itself was blasting the music that woke me up. And so many other totally impractical features - no elevator, very steep stairs -- do NOT come with a heavy suitcase unless you're strong and have good balance -- shower facilities in the basement three flights down, rooms so dark (they are all windowless) that even when you can find space to open your suitcase you can only see into it with your phone torch on, no eating/drinking allowed apart from in a tiny room in the basement that has only 4 seats, and only one bench outside on the sidewalk that seats just 3...HOW DID THEY COME UP WITH THIS STUPID CONCEPT???!!!

My daughter felt really safe and comfortable here during her solo 5 day visit in NYC. Extra helpful staff with both check in and check out.

Great location and style, but some growing pains. Now Now is a good choice for solo travelers who want a well-designed hotel in a prime location. The aesthetic is great and the vibe is modern and clean. However, there are some things that need improvement. I only received housekeeping 3 out of 8 days, even though daily towel service and sheet changes every 3 days were promised. The acoustic baffles help, but loud door locking mechanisms and shared bathroom layouts make noise an issue, especially in the south wing. Unlike the north wing, there is no separation of the bathroom/shower/sink from guest rooms and you will hear them in use. IMO the south wing rooms should be offered at a discount since they are noisy, fewer amenities, and less desirable. There are more showers/bathrooms in the basement, but you have to go downstairs and through the lobby to use them. That is also the only location to use the Dyson hairdryer if you stay on the south wing. Additionally, the shower rooms are big and stylish but the shower heads are small and low-flow water efficient so I was often cold taking a shower. I was grateful for the provided robe. I do wish they offered social elements like bar hopping, meetups, etc. kinda like a hostel to meet fellow solo travelers. They also charge for locker use to store items upon checkout which was disappointing. Overall, a solid place to stay and I would stay again but wouldn’t pay over $120 nightly for the cozy sleeper cabin.

You know what? I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The location of this property is unmatched: you’re paying to be right in the heart of New York. So many restaurants within walking distance: the NY Run Club on the weekends pass through the back! I felt extremely safe as a solo traveler. They were able to accommodate an early check-in, and I even ended up getting a room with a window. Yes, the rooms are small, but it was very homey. My favorite part of my stay where the bathrooms, surprisingly: they were incredibly clean, they refilled products twice a day( even toothbrushes) and the Grown Alchemist products were the icing on the cake: I was excited to take a shower every night lol. The only downside to my stay was the noise: all the doors slam very hard, and some other people staying there were questionable. I still fell asleep, but there was one night in particular, where I had trouble getting rest. I would 10000% stay here again for a weekend.

One thing to keep in mind is that the rooms are quite small, but if you don't need a lot of space, it's not really an issue. The location was absolutely perfect, the hotel is in a really good spot, we easy access to the rest of the city! The staff were all lovely and super helpful! The room was clean and the whole hotel was really stunning! The only point I would raise is if you are a light sleeper this may not be for you as you can hear other guest at all hours of the night and all the doors seem to be really loud. However I everything else outweighs this one downside!

This isn’t a hotel for everybody- if you’re good with sharing a bathroom and having an open ceiling, then definitely consider staying here. Now Now was as advertised: sort of like an upscale hostel in terms of sleeping and bathroom arrangements. The room was bigger than I expected and well laid out. I had plenty of space for myself. The passageways for the rooms reminded me of being on a train with sleeping compartments - long and quite narrow. I was pleasantly surprised to find a white noise machine in the room, which I appreciated. I stayed on a women’s floor and everyone there respected the hotel rules about not having anyone else in the room and not having phone calls, which kept the ambiance calm and quiet. The bathroom facilities were generally good, except that the foyer to the shower tended to get very wet due to how the shower is laid out, so it was a bit tricky navigating that. They provide you with slippers but I’d recommend bringing a pair of shower flip flops if you can fit them. It would have been nice if there was more than one toilet and shower on our wing, but there was only one time I had to wait a little for shower availability so it wasn’t an issue. There’s also a floor that has more bathrooms if you need quicker access. The quality of the bed linens, towels, and robes were great. The location of the hotel is perfect. Steps from good places to grab coffee, food, subway, etc. The hotel staff were friendly as well. I’d stay there again if traveling solo!

AC was good. Slept well using sound-soother device and eye mask which were provided. Nice Italian restaurant, Gemma, across the street and several good coffee shops a short distance.

A novel experience that serves as preview for a Japanese capsule motel! While the only food would be in vending machines, it was a pleasant and affordable way to lodge in the city. The size of the sleeper cabins encourages one to be on the city streets more than idling in their room. Perfect, as that's that I should be doing anyway! But lest this sound like an uncharitable review, I want to say that I had a good sleep each night, even with the open ceilings, and the bathroom and showers were a pleasure to use. They didn't skimp on the toiletries. Is it a luxury hotel with full service? No, nor does it claim to be. Is it a safe and secure place to sleep and get freshened up for the next day? Absolutely. Will strongly consider in the future.

It was my first time staying at a pod hotel, and it will also be my last. I understand the size of the rooms, but the rules and regulations of the property were unbelievable: 1) No eating or drinking in the rooms 2) No talking on cell phones (this was due to the false ceiling each room had, consequently, allowing for noise from snoring neighbors to be clearly heard) 3) Lounge in basement was the only place to congregate, eat and drink, and only a vending machine was made available with limited options The staff, however, were quite friendly and accommodating, so I will give it that, but that's all.
