We couldn't have been happier with Kingsgate. All staff were pleasant and helpful; the unit was squeaky clean; the grounds beautifully kept, the amenities and activities on site were wonderful and covered all ages, babies to retirees. We also enjoyed the poolside restaurant with pleasant service and good quality food and drink. (Highly recommend “Doughboy” cider!”) Kudos, Kingsgate! You run a beautiful, wholesome resort!

It was family friendly for sure. The main building has an arcade and consoles available for play. There is an indoor pool and 2 outdoor pools. They manage the property well. I had an issue where someone backed into my car and they were able to help me out and were very nice in how they handled the situation. If you can, during your reservation get a building/room near the front of the property so you can walk to the pools. The 30s, you will have to drive. Thank you Caitlyn L. for your careful handling and service.

From beginning of check in to checking out everything was easy, staff couldnt be any more friendly. Rooms were clean. Bed very comfortable. Our teenager's said sofa bed wasn't comfortable but they managed to sleep. Lol. Kitchenette was great. Spent a great deal of our time participating in the amenities that are avaliable and there was a lot. Would definitely stay again.

The property is nice but needs more supervision. The pool area is a free for all and a madhouse . Little kids running all over the place unsupervised. Children are supposedly not allowed in the hot tub but it was filled with kids every night. The fire pit was filled with people every night and none of them were giving up their seats. If S’more is going to be one of your activities someone needs to make sure no one is monopolizing the entire area. The couch in the room was the most uncomfortable couch I’ve ever experienced. The walls are extremely thin. You can hear absolutely everything that is going on in the rooms next to you. The check in experience was long and tiresome. To be honest the staff was the only positive thing I have to say about my whole experience.

Beautiful property. Has several amenities for the family. There is a family pool hot tub and adult pool. A great game room, on site mini golf, jumbo checkers and chess, ping pong, corn hole, movie room and scheduled events. The site is a timeshare type property so dont be surprised when they ask you to attend a presentation. We did not attend as we were from the west coast and the opportunity would not suit us. We stayed in the 2 bedroom unit/condo. It was perfect, staff was friendly and replaced toiletries as doon as we requested them. The kitchen had everything we needed.we would definitely recommend this site to anyone we know traveling to the area.

Our family of 5 loved this place! It had something for each of us to enjoy - pool, bar and restaurant, movie theater, mini golf, an arcade, outdoor games. The suite we were in was spacious with everything we could need, and it was reasonably priced, which attracted me to it. We shortened an amusement park day so we could enjoy all the activities for an evening at the hotel.

Knowing this was a timeshare rental we went in with what I thought were realistic expectations. We arrived at night and there was no signage for our building (luckily an employee was on the grounds and he was able to direct me - the sign was hung the second day of our stay). Our room also had a HEAVY smell of cigarette smoke. The windows and mirrors had handprints all over them and I found a large hairball in our bed. I would not stay here again.

Very dated and no USB ports. Very few outlets and almost none in a convenient place to charge devices. No parking and had to park at some distance away. Gates were open so any e could get in or out. Had no sheets and only a couple towels for 4 people. Inner staircase and interior were dirty

My son and I stayed in a two bedroom suite. It was clean for the most part with the exception of the master bath. The facet had toothpaste or soap residue and there was a partly used soap bar in the shower. The walls are thin and we could hear the downstairs guests. It was fine with the fan on Upon check in, they took a 275 hold deposit that I have not yet had refunded. There was a hard sale to sign up for a time share presentation. That I was first told was mandatory. I arrived at the property at 8 pm, was tired and wanted to go get dinner before getting a goodnight rest for the college tour the next day. The sales agent was persistent and would not take no for an answer. I should have walked away and when I finally lost my temper asking for a supervisor, I as told it was only a courtesy to receive a free gift that was set up by my third party booker. Hotels Dot com , did you arrange for me to get a gift? It was maddening as I received no less than three text messages and phone calls the next day asking when I wanted to book the sales pitch. Never again with this one. Great place of you gave little kids but I was there purely for college visiting and already had an agenda.

This is a great property with spacious rooms, heated outdoor pool, arcade and mini golf. The soft furnishings (beds, sofas, chairs, carpet) are in good shape but the hard furnishings (coffee table, dressers, desks) are very beat up. The linens are a problem, too. One king bed was fully made with a Full or Queen fitted sheet set that didn't even cover the mattress pad. The other bed had a 6-inch hole in the fitted sheet right at the head. Several towels had holes in them, including one with five holes so big i could stick my finger through them. The property’s (unapologetic) solution was to drop a new bag of linens outside our door, and we were left to remake the beds ourselves. A great place to go for fun, just don’t expect a full-service experience.

Wyndham -if you say NO to the showcase….then you better not need anything…cause you ain’t getting it. I want to be honest and open here- dealing with reception at Kingsgate not only the day of check in, but the next morning, was a complete turn off from a resort we have loved bringing our family to for years. In general, my reviews of the resorts in Williamsburg have always been in the 4-5 ⭐️ range with only a few exceptions. Sadly- this time, the only postive things I can say is that the mini golf course is STILL perfect for families and it was nice to see the family outdoor pool open on Saturday after being told it was not likely going to be open when we arrived Thursday. The rooms have been updated, but the master bathroom sink in 31-201A was gross and the coffee pot was leaking terribly and was not fixed as promised.

We found a bed bug our first night. After reporting, staff immediately came to check the situation and moved us to a new room. Foyer of the first unit we stayed in was very dirty with trash an cigarette butts on the floor. Room itself was pretty clean. The resort itself was very nice & clean with lots to do. Staff was very friendly.

Book a two bedroom suite for a friends getaway. Property is lovely, but know you will get a timeshare spiel. Pool areas are great, game rooms are fun. Suite itself was fabulous but the beds and furniture are very firm. Laundry and full kitchen are such a nice bonus.

This was a great older apartment style option near everything in the area. With that in mind the kids loved the pools, putt-putt and game rooms. The unit we were in was somewhat dated and the only down side was horrible water pressure! It was clean and very family friendly.

The property is older with multiple types of accommodations. There are ramps if someone is disabled. My family of four was on the second floor. There wasn’t an elevator. We had to carry all of our bags and groceries up two full flights of stairs. There were 4 steps into the building and another 16 steps to our room. The floors and walls are very thin. I could hear someone next store snoring. People above us left early one morning(6am) and for an hour it was slamming and rolling of bags. Later in the stay a family with a young child was staying above us. I felt for the child, we could hear the Mom trying to entertain and feed the child. Kids don’t want to have to tip toe and be quiet. Also, there were multiple things in our suite that were broken or missing. One day we came back to the room and there were two housekeepers shaking our door handle. I identified that it was our room and they looked at me and walked away. We walked around our room and looked at everything. We had to stay one more day because we were there for an event. We left a day early after that incident.

Many activities are avaliable but one huge issue was the old creaking floors on each level. We were lucky to come on Monday-friday but Thursday night a family checked in and they stomped and ran when they're in their room.

Stayed in a 2 bed unit for 3 nights with family of 5. Check in was easy and staff very friendly. We did not encounter any time share push. Unit was spacious but in need of refresh. Furniture old and brown and very outdated. The resort is undergoing renovations so units will be updated overtime. We opted for ground floor unit as we had a lot of luggage. Only downside was we could hear every footstep of guests above 2 large bedrooms , living room with sofa bed which was comfortable. Small kitchen. Facilities on site were excellent. We used the swimming pool , crazy golf and tennis and also played some pool in outdoor games area. Grounds were very clean. 10 min drive from colonial Williamsburg. We went there for one day parked at visitor centre and walked around. Plenty of places to eat around also including. Olive Garden. Enjoyed our stay

The rooms were clean and comfortable except the living room furniture. None of the furniture was comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. We would stay again. There was a security deposit of $ 250 that wasn't made clear until we checked in.

It was really convenient to text questions, and they were always met with prompt, helpful replies. One morning our coffee machine stopped working. We sent a text asking for a replacement and Cristina was at our door within a half hour with another machine and more coffee, since she thought we may have run out trying to get the machine to work. Excellent service! The property had many family friendly activities. Also the kitchenette was perfect for breakfasts and storing snacks. One thing we didn’t like - the property pushes customers to listen to timeshare pitches. We declined but had a few requests for us to join. Glad we didn’t have to attend.

There was construction right next to our room and in the parking lot that was very noisy and made it difficult to get in and out. They also held our room keys hostage until we listened to their timeshare spiel. We had been traveling all day and it was a lot for check in to take as long as it did because they kept insisting we schedule a time to do their time share thing. When they finally did give us our room keys, they didn’t work. Overall it’s a nice property, but I would avoid a Club Wyndham again in the future because both times we have stayed at one we had to deal with really pushy sales people. They continued to call and text us during our stay trying to get us to book a time for the timeshare pitch.

Check in at this property took almost half an hour and then the staff would not check us in without us signing up for a timeshare presentation. In fact, they took a $60 non refundable deposit. Our weekend was packed and we were unable to attend to get it back. WHAT A SCAM!! Expedia, you should warn people about this.

This is our 2nd visit in the last 12 months (we have family in the area). Check-in takes longer than at a "normal" hotel because they are trying to get you to go to a timeshare presentation. I'm usually resolute in saying "no". I caved several months ago when they offered me a "free" cruise and they told me that the sales pitch would not be high pressure. Reader: The cruise was not "free" and there was quite a bit of pressure in the sales pitch. So this time I was even more resolute in saying "no, thank you" at check-in. They called my cell the next day and left a message trying to get me to come to the presentation. I did not return their call and all was well. The accommodations are nice. We like the extra space with the living room and kitchen. My only complaint is that the ice maker in the fridge/freezer is extremely slow in making ice, if at all. This was a problem both times we've stayed. Not a huge deal as we just bought a bag of ice at the gas station. It would be helpful if they put ice cube trays in the freezer and just told you not to try to get ice from the ice maker.

I loved everything about our stay at the Kingsgate EXCEPT the Wyndham Resort presentation hard sell. I can usually make it through these vacation property presentations with no problem but this one was aggressive and off putting. I felt offended and antagonized by Ray Pitts, our “guide” and the whole experience wasn’t worth the free gift at all. I know the Kingsgate is obligated to shunt as many guests as possible through the presentation mill, so I don’t hold it against them and still gave the review mainly 5 stars because the resort was great, they accommodated every special request I had, including early check-in. The suite was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. We didn’t get to use any of the on-site amenities, but I loved the options for families. I would definitely stay again, and thankfully won’t have to go through another presentation.

While polite, they are persistent and try to get you to meet with them to discuss purchasing a condo or time share. That's not how we want to spend our vacation time. All said, we'll be back but we'd recommend changing check in procedures.

My son and I stayed in a two bedroom suite. It was clean for the most part with the exception of the master bath. The facet had toothpaste or soap residue and there was a partly used soap bar in the shower. The walls are thin and we could hear the downstairs guests. It was fine with the fan on Upon check in, they took a 275 hold deposit that I have not yet had refunded. There was a hard sale to sign up for a time share presentation. That I was first told was mandatory. I arrived at the property at 8 pm, was tired and wanted to go get dinner before getting a goodnight rest for the college tour the next day. The sales agent was persistent and would not take no for an answer. I should have walked away and when I finally lost my temper asking for a supervisor, I as told it was only a courtesy to receive a free gift that was set up by my third party booker. Hotels Dot com , did you arrange for me to get a gift? It was maddening as I received no less than three text messages and phone calls the next day asking when I wanted to book the sales pitch. Never again with this one. Great place of you gave little kids but I was there purely for college visiting and already had an agenda.

We had a great experience at Kingsgate, it was awesome to have the extra space, washer and dryer, and kitchen. We arrived earlier then expected and they were able to accommodate us with an early check in so we could start our vacation off right away. Great property and everyone was so friendly.

Fantastic time had by all!! So many amenities for the kids and in a great location. It was only 10-15 minutes from the parks (Busch Gardens & Water Country). I would definitely recommend to someone traveling to the area with young children.

Our 2 bedroom was beautifully appointed and comfortable. Its close enough to the attractions so that they're convenient, but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of the property.

My husband & I really enjoyed the resort. I loved the convenience of being so close to the Premium outlet. Only 7 minutes. We liked being close to some very nice restaurants, and Antique shopping malls. The staff was very friendly. I felt safe in our surroundings. I have to say that the bracelets that are used to open the room door, and used to get in to the gate of the resort are pretty cool. No key entry! There are several amenities. Children & adults will love the large game room, and indoor heated pool. We will definitely be going back there again for another stay. I highly recommend Wyndham Kingsgate Club Resort! *****

This was our first time staying at Wyndham Kings Gate. I found the property online at Expedia and I was honestly just looking for a place with a kitchenette. My family was going to Busch Gardens and I knew we wouldn’t be able to do a three day, four night stay without a kitchen. None of the hotels in the area offer this. So I gave this property a shot. To say I was blown away is an understatement. The resort was so amazing. It was absolutely pristine - not a speck of trash anywhere. The ease of checkin and friendliness of the staff was was incredible. The amenities (pool, mini golf, game room, playground, theater, DVD rental, fire pit, tennis court, basketball court, picnic areas, barbecue grills and restaurant) left me speechless. We almost didn’t want to go to the theme park since we were having so much fun on resort. If we HAD to make a complaint, it would be the ancient washer/dryer in our unit. It was too loud to run while you were home. We cannot wait to come back next year for a full on-resort visit.

We couldn't have been happier with Kingsgate. All staff were pleasant and helpful; the unit was squeaky clean; the grounds beautifully kept, the amenities and activities on site were wonderful and covered all ages, babies to retirees. We also enjoyed the poolside restaurant with pleasant service and good quality food and drink. (Highly recommend “Doughboy” cider!”) Kudos, Kingsgate! You run a beautiful, wholesome resort!

Resorts was very nice and they have arcade room for kids which is awesome. Only complained i had was that the don't have breakfast on thier property otherwise overall it was awesome stay.

A great game room, on site mini golf, jumbo checkers and chess, ping pong, corn hole, movie room and scheduled events. The site is a timeshare type property so dont be surprised when they ask you to attend a presentation. We did not attend as we were from the west coast and the opportunity would not suit us. We stayed in the 2 bedroom unit/condo. It was perfect, staff was friendly and replaced toiletries as doon as we requested them. The kitchen had everything we needed.we would definitely recommend this site to anyone we know traveling to the area.

Our family of 5 loved this place! It had something for each of us to enjoy - pool, bar and restaurant, movie theater, mini golf, an arcade, outdoor games. The suite we were in was spacious with everything we could need, and it was reasonably priced, which attracted me to it. We shortened an amusement park day so we could enjoy all the activities for an evening at the hotel.

I really enjoyed the activities that the resort offered . Mini golf, tavern with karaoke, movie theater, outside and inside pool, hot tub, outside life size games, corn hole, grilling areas, tennis court, game room; all free of charge. The room was a great layout with everything we needed during our stay! Definitely will be back.

We liked that we could all stay together and have room to spread out in the living room, dining room and kitchen. Our grandson really liked the game room. We didn't really have time to do anything else. We were disappointed in The Sly Clyde. Thought it was very expensive for carry out microwave cuisine.

Check in was a nightmare. Messaged me the day of the event requiring further information, threatening to cancel my reservation if I didn't respond. Thankfully I saw it even though I am in a different timezone. I sent over two ids but they said they didn't receive. One of the names was input wrong and they wouldn't let q of our 2 groups enter their house. Turned them away after a long drive. Just rude. Charged us 180 to correct the name. Place is nice but managers were unprofessional.

The condos were fine and easily accommodated our group. The part that didn't match up to the listing was, "You may be asked to watch a timeshare presentation, however you are under no obligation to do so and we recommend politely declining if you are not interested." We had 3 different condos booked and were told it was a requirement that at least one person from a booking attended the timeshare presentation. We politely declined a few times (and even called later after checking in) and was once again told, it was not optional. This resulted in our group forfeiting 60 to avoid wasting an hour and a half of a short weekend trip listening to a presentation on something we had no interest in.

Perfect trip for a girls getaway we love the accommodations. Everything we need. It was right there and we had a great time. It was so comfortable. We were not ready to leave.
