Abgesehen vom amüsant-kitschigen Stil ist dem Haus ein gewisses Altern anzumerken, doch Empfang und Service waren ausnehmend hilfsbereit und freundlich (sowie effizient). Und für Autofahrer ist der Parkplatz am Psaromakhalas/Nosokomio-Platz leicht erreichbar und nahe genug. Also für Nafplio-Zentrum unbedingt empfehlenswert.

Ilion looks much nicer in the photos than it is in person. It is getting long in the tooth and needs refreshing. Here you’ve got a hotel that bills itself as a romantically beautiful inn, however, there really is no luxury feel with old uncomfortable beds that squeak, hard pillows, ultra basic shampoo/ body gel combo and cheap soap. We are on a long journey and t 2 large and two small suitcases, which made the room so tight it was uncomfortable. The breakfast consisted of fresh squeezed orange juice, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, beautiful bread and more. The ladies that work there are excellent, The young male was okay, but resisted giving us more towels and pillows.

Unique lodging experience for those looking for an adventure! If you're carrying heavy bags, there's parking near by but the last ~5-10 mins are only reachable by foot (it's in an entirely walking-only part of town). It felt safe even late at night. The rooms are beautiful and super clean, and staff is very responsive.
