The room itself was clean. The rest of the property was dirty and in disrepair. Pool was out of service, gutter was hanging off the building, hallway carpet was nasty. They were low on pillows and towels. Was far below expectations for the price.

Room did not have coffee pot, or shampoo and conditioner. There was a man outside banging on a pipe for over 5 hours, I believe he worked at the hotel. Overall did not match listing description.

This hotel was a big disappointment and I wouldn’t recommend booking a room here. The hallways were dirty and looked as if they hadn’t been vacuumed. There were stains on the carpet and the pool was closed, which was annoying considering that’s why I picked a hotel with a pool. On the website it states there was a coffee pot in the rooms which wasn’t the case, there also wasn’t a blow dryer for convenience. The beds were uncomfortable and I didn’t like the back door entrance didn’t require a key card to get into the building. Literally anyone could get in the hotel. Trying to save money and staying at a cheaper rate isn’t always the best idea. Next time I visit Des Moines I plan on staying somewhere cleaner/safer.

Stay was inexpensive and good enough for one night. Staff were courteous at check in. No elevators (only stairs) to second floor. Being next to a truck stop there was some evening noise but that settled down during the night. There was a surprise 50$ deposit required that was refunded a few days later as they promised.

There was a pool with pictures advertised but the pool was closed and appeared to have been for a very long time. There are NO ammenities for the shower. There is NO blowdryer in the rooms or that you can borrow from the front desk. When turning the shower on, the whole thing felt like you had to be careful with it. But the shower was hot! The beds were ok, a tad hard for my liking, I woke a few times and my hips hurt from that. There were 2 pillows per bed (2 queen) and they were certainly lumpy, but I was able to manipulate one enough to get a good placement of my head. Looking out my window, I saw some window screens laying in places in the "courtyard". The front desk check in was easy and she was very pleasant, same for the checkout. Very very friendly.

The photos in their profile are not accurate. This place is filthy and run down. Luckily , the room was better than the hallways and lobby, so we did end up staying the night because we were just there to sleep for 1 night and it was close to the activity we were in town to do. It’s one of those hotels that people live in and there were shady people hanging out everywhere. The entrances were filthy with cigarette butts. The hallways were filthy and littered with garbage.

The room was spacious, clean and neat. The furniture was new but the chairs weren't very comfy. We liked the kitchenette with the large refrigerator. The inside of the hotel was good but the outside was trashy, I saw lots off cigarette butts, beer cans and paper trash around the building. The outside door had key readers but were opened without the keycard. The room was much nicer than most econo hotels and the price was right. If you are just passing through, it's ok.

Check-in person was extremely grumpy. Room was clean but hallways, doorways and parking lot were filthy and cluttered with trash and cigarette butts. The room reeked of mildew and the a/c smelled awful. The a/c also made very loud clunking noises all night. We got locked out of our room and the building at 6:30 am, as our key cards no longer worked. Definitely not worth the $100 cost of the room with taxes and fees. Worst hotel experience since using Expedia 😪.

The room was nice and clean could have been mopped though. The outside had feces all over the back parking lot, our room door had a gap wide enough to look into the room, and the flooring in the pool room is broken up a little bit.

Decent overall. The room had a faint smell of smoke so they clearly have had guests who didnt care about anyone else. Room was very good. Big fridge, good tv. Plenty of space. Good bed. I like lots of pillows but the 2 were nice

What I didn't like was the fact the lighting was poorly done in the main area of the room. The only lighting you have is the little lights by the bed. Their just barely enough light from them to see the bed and other furniture.

For the amount of money they charged for one night, I would have expected some small amenities (hair dryer in the room, shampoo and conditioner). Walls are thin and you can easily hear people in the hall or in adjoining rooms. Towel bar in bathroom was previously broken and had not been replaced. Wasn’t horrible but would not stay again.

it's pretty sketchy looking on the outside but when I walked in the room I was very surprised it was very clean, updated and smelled clean. the ladies at the desk where nice and polite. for the money I'll probably stay there each time I go see my daughter

I tried to stay at this place and got a room through Expedia and when I got there the lady at the desk was of no help. She claimed she couldn’t find my reservation and would not allow me to stay and basically sent me on my way and just walked away from the desk. Luckily I was able to contact Expedia and they offered me a full refund. The woman working was very unprofessional and not of any help

Knocked on my door at midnight saying I didn't pay for my room as ND to vacate walked to office with him I told him I been there for 3 days already I paid online and went to o front desk which lady that working checked me in and reset my key he called me a liar 4 times and wanted me to vacate immediately I argued telling him I had itinerary number confirmed my payment he finally went got lady who checked me in and she made the mistake of not putting me in that room him calling me a lier is unacceptable

After staying in the same room on the fourth day manager guy comes to my door at midnight saying I didn't pay my bill for that day I told him I did he took me to the front desk said he couldn't find it on the computer I told him I paid online with the lady that was working flat out called me a liar said I was lying I didn't pay I told him I did pay I could show him the itinerary number and he called me a liar again I explained to him when I paid what time I paid he went and got the lady that check me in and she confirmed I checked in and paid she forgot to enter it in the computer I have never been called a liar to my face four times

Stay was inexpensive and good enough for one night. Staff were courteous at check in. No elevators (only stairs) to second floor. Being next to a truck stop there was some evening noise but that settled down during the night. There was a surprise 50$ deposit required that was refunded a few days later as they promised.

Stayed here multiple times. Usually really clean in the rooms. Area is next to a truck stop and freeway so it can feel a little unsafe as a young woman but I’ve never had issues.

Great motel for the price! They are pet friendly, have a huge indoor pool, and close to outlet mall and Adventureland. Plus so many places to eat near by.

Nice location. Convenient to restaurants and the expressway. Building wasn’t secure in the back, and empty prophylactic boxes in parking lot near entrance. Room was clean however and nice place to lay your head.

This hotel was a big disappointment and I wouldn’t recommend booking a room here. The hallways were dirty and looked as if they hadn’t been vacuumed. There were stains on the carpet and the pool was closed, which was annoying considering that’s why I picked a hotel with a pool. On the website it states there was a coffee pot in the rooms which wasn’t the case, there also wasn’t a blow dryer for convenience. The beds were uncomfortable and I didn’t like the back door entrance didn’t require a key card to get into the building. Literally anyone could get in the hotel. Trying to save money and staying at a cheaper rate isn’t always the best idea. Next time I visit Des Moines I plan on staying somewhere cleaner/safer.

Cigarette burns on the comforter. There was a fight in the lobby that had to be broken up. The app said there was free breakfast but we couldn’t find where that would have been nor were we told there was one upon check in. It is a place to sleep with 4 walls if that’s all you require.

Walked in lobby, sign saying pool is closed. Got to room, it stunk!!! Asked staff about it, was told they had some workers staying there for month or 2, that’s probably why it smells. Went to lobby in morning for coffee, I think it was made night before, nasty. Claim to be security building. Lock on side door doesn’t work and has been broken for a while according to staff. It sure wasn’t worth $80 a night. Needs to be torn down since they obviously can’t clean it.

First noticed truck w transmission out of it. Broken entrance doors, damp musty room. No coffee. Looks like people live there. Hallway carpet was greasy. No complimentary items or vent in bathroom.

For the amount of money they charged for one night, I would have expected some small amenities (hair dryer in the room, shampoo and conditioner). Walls are thin and you can easily hear people in the hall or in adjoining rooms. Towel bar in bathroom was previously broken and had not been replaced. Wasn’t horrible but would not stay again.

Staff was very friendly. We had an electrical outlet that quit working. It was fixed the next day. Only complaint I have is there was no coffee pot in our kitchenette.

Not as pictures show, heat not working, no toiletries ie,shampoo very small soap bar. Mirror light not working. But frig and freezer OK, toaster microwave good, bathroom/shower clean, some open entrance doors didn't require door key to enter,looked like always unlocked. and kind of a lingering smell/order in hallways. Overall get what you pay for. It worked.

The property wasn't very secure, exterior doors were propped open all night. My room was clean but had a musty odor of pets and old cigarette smoke. The place where the smoke detector was supposed to be was just wires hanging from the ceiling. Hallways were very noisy at all hours of the night and the common areas were untidy.

I usually try to stay here because I am only here to sleep due to business. This year the bathroom was dirty and it grossed me out. I didn't arrive at the hotel till later at night therefore I had no other option as it was late and already paid for but won't be staying again

Room was clean, had no hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner but had kitchen supplies(pots pans dishes glasses). Hallways were dirty. Walls need to be patched & painted. Pool was not open on a very hot weekend.
