The hotel was absolutely magnificent with an incredible view. The staff were fantastic, especially at the pool bar with Mr. Kong, who is always very efficient and friendly, as well as Mrs. Katie from the Flame restaurant.

A stunning resort. The Ocean view room was perfect, private and quiet. There are several pools, each with its own charms. The beach and sea swimming are not the best, but I did see some people swimming and snorkeling. The best things about this resort are the location and, most important, the people who work there. Friendly and kind - I was very impressed with the dining room staff, in particular. But everyone I encountered was professional, helpful, and pleasant. As others have said, there’s not a lot nearby the resort but it is very self-contained. I was solo and enjoyed four days of pure peace and down time. I will say that the Thai food on offer in the all-day dining room was uninspired and somewhat expensive after Bangkok. But that is my only criticism.

Beautiful location, high quality food and drink and brilliantly attentive staff. Lots of children during school holidays but couples or solo travellers can use the adults-only pool, which is empty and peaceful. Thoroughly recommend!

We have spent a wonderful time staying in a family villa with 2 bedrooms for 4 nights. The villa is comfortable and spacious. The ocean view was terrific and, in particular, excellent for the sunset. The servicing team was sincere and helpful. 😃😃

Martin (the Guest Manager) quickly seated us at a table in the lounge, where we were served a refreshing drink and cold towels. He took care of the entire check-in process there and explained how everything works at the resort. While we were waiting for our room to be ready—we arrived well before check-in—we were served afternoon tea. The rooms at this resort offer a spectacular view, as it is built along a mountainside overlooking the ocean. We were completely overwhelmed. The staff at this resort are absolutely wonderful. Everyone makes sure you have everything you need and is always happy to stop for a friendly chat, which makes the experience feel very personal. They remember what we usually order and ask the next time if we would like to have the same again. Examples of staff groups we interacted with include the lounge, breakfast, reception, traffic control, housekeeping, gardening, transport/shuttle, restaurant, and bar staff. Every single one of them is outstanding.

It’s a nice property, but needs a renovation and new management. The Swedish manager that I suffer is not capable of making a decent team of his employees and even keep the property clean at the level of their pricing. The employees have goodwill but when a property is badly manage the team becomes an operational nightmare. Find another property to enjoy your holidays until this one finds its way and attention to detail in line with their premium pricing

Hotel is in a nice spot but needs renovation! we had a villa on the beach which was nice but way too expensive for the quality. Staff nice but often inexperienced. Only two restaurants, food was not impressive compared to Bkk/Hua Hin 5star restaurants. New years eve party overpriced and hardly any firework. Better choose Chaweng hotels!

we had a pleasant stay an the Intercontinental. the staff are excellent and friendly. food was also very good. our only real issue was the room size of our classic room ocean view. its promoted as being 760 sq feet but when we got there we were shocked how small it was. thats because they fail to mention that 1/3rd of the floor area is a terrace which really cant be used for most of the day as it gets full sun and no shade. the room is more 500 sq feet with very little wardrobe space as they had to set up clothes racks for us.

Warm hospitality and wondeful experience, thoughtful service - a special mention of the dining experience, they remembered my child’s favourite snack. every staff were friendly and helpful, from daily breakfast and dining, spa treatments, room service and concierge. The view was beautiful and we had a lovely time.

10/10 you can't fault anything in this resort. The staff is absolutely great and so courteous, especially Tangmo, she went above and beyond to make sure my stay was above satisfactory. I had the Best time at this resort. Everything is so beautiful ❤️❤️❤️

The hotel is secluded which is great but also requires for transportation to anything outside the hotel. If you want to eat in a local restaurant rather than the hotel it's a 30 min Car Ride away. As long as that is acceptable to you no issue but if you like to go outside the hotel from time to time this can be an issue. There is nothing around the hotel area that can be deemed as acceptable, at least not what we have been able to check out.
