Amazing place, would be 5 stars but their wifi is horrible. Nothing will load, I couldn’t facetime and connection is really bad since you’re in the mountains. Other than that, everything was amazing and the place itself it’s super nice and chill. They should definitely fix their wifi!

Wonderful environment. Easy check in, our room was comfortable, spacious and spotless. The pools, while lovely, were quite a distance from our room. My main issue was the lack of signage. We got confused and lost trying to find our room initially and trying to find an ice machine as well! The map we were given was of minimal help. Otherwise a very nice stay.

I came here for the hot tubs, which I used. I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the water. Since, the tubs are not jetted, anything that blows into the water remains there.

The photos of the property do it no justice. The rooms were clean, nicely arranged, spacious and comfy. The staff was attentive and quick to respond. Above all though the hot springs pools were so serene and healing and relaxing. We will definitely be back. The only criticisms would be that they need to move that trash can next to the trailhead behind the bench. It completely ruins the beauty of sitting there with a big nasty trash can. Also empty that one more often. Aside from that very small criticism I would say that the stay was perfect.

The room was fine. The queen studio is small. Everything was very clean. The kitchen in this style room is not a kitchen...it’s a sink, toaster, coffee maker and mini fridge. Parking was great. The food at the restaurant was great. The mineral hot tubs were the best part of the stay.

The wetland behind the property was unique, peaceful and fascinating. The room was slightly dated but comfortable and adequately furnished. The pools needed better care and cleaning. Parking was easy and close to the bulidings. Check and check out in went well. There was very little pressure to attend the timeshare presentation which was refreshing. Housekeeping and the front desk were very responsive and friendly. Very good stay.

Very nice stay, pools may need to be better maintained. Staff was very nice especially Brittany. Food was very enjoyable in the restaurant. It can be a long walk from your room to restaurant and pools! Our second stay and will return!

Now this resort is a timeshare but you can also booked it through a travel site if you are not a timeshare holder. The room was very clean, gave us towels for the hot springs; even though the front desk told us there was no towels in the room and can get it from the front desk, or bring your own; mostly recommend bringing your own! The hot springs tubs and pool was dirty only because it’s outside and trees were around it. The restaurant was good on certain foods are good; we had the poppers was okay didn’t like the brisket on top,”tasted horrible,” pizza was amazing, and the filet mignon was amazing. But it’s your choice on the food. It is close to Gardnerville and South Lake Tahoe. It’s a great little vacation for local’s like us. Do recommend.

Beautiful, great location, hot springs are wonderful. Only problem with our stay was the kitchen was unusable because the refrigerator stunk like fish. Housekeeping came up and cleaned the fish juice from under the fridge which worked for a while, but if you opened the door it was awful! So we weren’t able to use the kitchen.

We have stayed here before and likely will again. Room remodeled but old carpets in bedroom that could use a shampoo. This is part of a hot springs that charges extra even if you are a guest. Then the hotel charges another $20 resort fee. Not sure what for. Restaurant closed Monday and Tuesday which is not convenient for guests. This is a timeshare and they make you go to concierge for parking pass and room key so they can enroll you in a sales session.

Property was in a nice area, and it was clean exteriorly. Rooms and bathrooms could use better cleaning, especially bathrooms. Walls are paper thin, we could literally hear ever conversation that was coming from the next room.

We’ve been here many times. This however was the worst visit. The room was dirty, the last people’s towels were on the deck. The AC didn’t work and it’s still summer in Genoa. The only redeeming qualities were, Chris the bartender was amazing with dinner service, and the maintenance person working the pools was attentive and made our pool warmer

I give it one star because of how the rooms are constructed. The walls themselves seem to be okay but the doors and the area around the doors are terrible. You can hear a mouse fart in the adjoining room. You can see sunlight coming through the cracks in the doors. I could hear both sides of a phone conversation. Our neighbors were not being loud. The building itself has three floors in an V-shaped pattern. Everybody must go to the point of the V in order to get to the elevator. So normal conversations are wildly Amplified as people approach the elevator or go to their rooms. There's no way to relax in a room constructed like this. These problems are fixable! Yet, nothing has been done in the years they've been established. So, I doubt they care.

When the AC went out that was not great as my room was 80 degrees BUT Will at front desk was so so nice and found me a Fan to use--he is great---give him a raise as he made my stay so much better.

I always love everything about my stay at Wallys . This time we stayed in the small room which is called the suite. It was really small and not big enough for 2 people. The queen bed was not big enough. So next time I will get a bigger room.

Property was nice and had some good views. I enjoyed the walking path outside of the hotel. The studio room was okay, pretty standard besides the kitchenette. Would have been nice if the view wasn’t blocked by a tree. Would have given 5 stars if there was breakfast or even just coffee or water somewhere onsite.

This property was a kind of Time share and did not have cleaning service to clean the room every day like other hotel, when I went to ask why the room cleaner did not clean the room and provide new clean towels, I was told cleaner would come once a week only, thereafter I requested a few towels, which were provided to us. Also, one coffee bag was provided while we stayed 4 nights. I think Hotel.com should let me know in the information sheet provided to me by email under confirmation email. Otherwise, Holiday Inn club was very nice, had professional receptionist and beautiful location. Fay Dean

We have been coming here for a decade. The place has had its uos and downs but the last time we had a great time so we decided to return. We couldn't get our room keep without a manager teying to sell us a timeshare. We get to iur room and a lamp is broken and thr tv diesnt work. We go to use the pool and its COLD and they wont turn it uo wothout a mangers approval. Our neighbor was so loud each morning we couldn't sleep. The second day, we tried to call the feont desk and they never answeredm for hours. Tuens out the ohones were down and they didnt bother to tell ANYONE. Then i get a call from corporate, trying to sell me a timeshare AGAIN. Itild them about our dissastosfaction and they sent an email to the hotel manager. We never heard from them. We asked for a late check out (i have lyme and move slowly) and we flat out told no. Until my husband told the manager we were in touch with corporate. Siddenly a late check out was no problem. Then at exactly 10am the maid starts knocking. 30 minites akter the maintenance oerson just walks in my room. I call the manager and she just says sorry. Nothing more. We had planned to spend a week in September and will be cancelling the reservation.

We couldn't get our room keep without a manager teying to sell us a timeshare. We get to iur room and a lamp is broken and thr tv diesnt work. We go to use the pool and its COLD and they wont turn it uo wothout a mangers approval. Our neighbor was so loud each morning we couldn't sleep. The second day, we tried to call the feont desk and they never answeredm for hours. Tuens out the ohones were down and they didnt bother to tell ANYONE. Then i get a call from corporate, trying to sell me a timeshare AGAIN. Itild them about our dissastosfaction and they sent an email to the hotel manager. We never heard from them. We asked for a late check out (i have lyme and move slowly) and we flat out told no. Until my husband told the manager we were in touch with corporate. Siddenly a late check out was no problem. Then at exactly 10am the maid starts knocking. 30 minites akter the maintenance oerson just walks in my room. I call the manager and she just says sorry. Nothing more. We had planned to spend a week in September and will be cancelling the reservation.

Spent a considerable Amount of time on the phone giving directions to the property. I would say there is a need to update the internet. Google maps, Siri etc there is no need to waste their time on the phone like this. 4:00 pm is check-in time and one ladies shift ended at 4:45. I was the fourth person who arrived. Two couples were being helped when I walked in. One man in front of me with a glass of wine in his hand (obviously not checking in), then me. 45 minutes later I’m being checked in. I understand the situation, however that situation shouldn’t have happened. The lady who left for day, rightly so didn’t notice that the gentleman in front of me just needed a key. So she closed and left. The lady who helped me was very gracious and worked as quickly as she could. Food service at the pool was amazing. I couldn’t find pool maintenance to turn on the hot tubs, but maybe next trip.

The wetland behind the property was unique, peaceful and fascinating. The room was slightly dated but comfortable and adequately furnished. The pools needed better care and cleaning. Parking was easy and close to the bulidings. Check and check out in went well. There was very little pressure to attend the timeshare presentation which was refreshing. Housekeeping and the front desk were very responsive and friendly. Very good stay.

We called for help and after 10 minutes made a 2nd call. Someone from the front desk came but couldn't get the door open either. Maintenance finally arrived and got it open. We had to call again to get hand towels and washcloths, which were promptly delivered. The room was fine, although dated and the screen door came off the track when opened. The exterior hallway had large cracks and holes. The restaurant was okay but service was pretty slow.

This is one of the nicest hotels/villa's I have ever stayed at. Will at check in was amazing and made the check in process so easy. The staff were so nice and accommodating. The views were spectacular and the amenities were wonderful. I even left something in my room after check out and a friend was able to go and get it the next day! I could not have asked for a better place to stay. I will definitely be going back!

Well-kept, spacious but slightly worn room. Very quiet in my top floor room, with wonderful wetlands views to the east of the property. Front desk staff very polite and attentive, as was the woman working in their little market. Grounds are well-maintained, and the walk from there to the town of Genoa is beautiful.

We stayed for two nights and it was amazing. Rooms are huge, kitchen is amazing (even we didn’t use it but it’s nice to have it). Best thing is hot springs included in a stay. Location is excellent it’s just 30 minutes away from amazing Heavenly ski area. It’s nice to spend a day skiing and come back to soak in hot springs. Personnel are amazing as well. Highly recommended. Will be back soon.

We went for the great hiking around nearby Fallen Leaf and Lake Tahoe and appreciated the hot soaks in the mineral pools. The unit was also spacious and comfortable with a great bed and everything we needed for the weekend. The nearby Genoa Bar had a great live band on Sunday afternoon. Only negative - mosquitoes when the wind dies down, bring bug spray.

We rate this stay as the best we had in the 3 weeks travelling in northern California and western Navada. Rooms were nice & we had a balcony to sit out with a view of the valley. The hot pools were devine & conversation from locals gave some great tips on what not to miss in the area. Enjoyed nearby Genoa.

The food at the 1862 restaurant is excellent. The staff is extremely friendly and fun to be around. The room was awesome and huge. We spent time in the mineral hot tubs and they were extremely relaxing. I highly recommend this place.

We have stayed here before and likely will again. Room remodeled but old carpets in bedroom that could use a shampoo. This is part of a hot springs that charges extra even if you are a guest. Then the hotel charges another $20 resort fee. Not sure what for. Restaurant closed Monday and Tuesday which is not convenient for guests. This is a timeshare and they make you go to concierge for parking pass and room key so they can enroll you in a sales session.

This place is the perfect weekend getaway. I was under the impression that you have to pay for the stay and the hot springs. That’s not the case. When you have a room the hot springs are included. The restaurant was amazing! The ambiance and the food did not disappoint. The view is stunning. I would definitely come back.

I wish there was a copy of this resort every where we visit. It was clean, quiet, roomy, reasonably priced and some really nice amenities. It was secluded but half an hour from Tahoe and about 10 minutes to restaurants, hiking, movie theatre, museum, grocery stores etc.

Clean rooms and great amenities. Had issues with check-in and check-out. Also, adjoining rooms were locked instead of opened for us on check-in. Also, hot springs were not as well run as previous experience there. All in all good experience just some small things could have been better.

One of the most incredible places we have ever stayed. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The place was beyond what we expected. We had no idea what a gem was placed just outside of our own home. We had a perfect staycation. so we could jump on the train from Carson City to Virginia City and it was excellent. We loved the rooms, the food, and the spas. Everything was more than we could have imagined. I would highly recommend.
