Tamer at the front desk was extremely helpful! My husband was sick and he got a Dr for him. This truly felt like a home away from home. the location is amazing... everything is right at the front door and everything is within walking distance. The pool and spa are excellent as well. Rooms are big for Israel. Please go to Israel and enjoy this nice hotel!

Very nice hotel. Walking distance to heart of Jerusalem and the Old City. Hotel does not have parking, but their are public lots 20 yards away from the hotel.

Hotellet ligger ved en plass med yrende folkeliv, butikker, restauranter og utesteder. 5-10 minutter gange til Gamlebyen og Jaffa gate som tar oss tusener av år tilbake i tid. Personalet er svært vennlig. Gode fasiliteter, komfortable rom i en behagelig atmosfære. Fint trimrom og innendørs basseng for rekreasjon. Badet var fint, men dusjen kunne kanskje blitt rengjort langs lister og kroker. Alt i alt en fin opplevelse!

Really nice hotel. Breakfast amazing. Good service. Was upgraded to a delux room with bit more space. Rare find in jlem with stunning indoor pool. Only gripe is the lack of onsite parking so had to pay externally every time. And the carpark nearby that has an arrangement (20% discount for guests) closes at 11pm so if you miss that deadline you have to go elsewhere without discount.

My third or fourth stay at this hotel and unfortunately it is not keeping the quality it offered in previous stays. Staff is friendly and helpful but the facility maintenance is not keeping up. Noisy aircon, broken sensor in elevator. Water faucet at public toilet wobbly. Yet - the location is great. Plenty of entertainment, attractions and food within walking distance. Beautiful vista from dining room at 11th floor and a great breakfast buffet. Spa and pool at the basement. Spa offers treatments alas a small basement pool isn’t much fun.

Absolutely beautiful, luxury and affordable hotel, that far exceeded my expectations based on some of the reviews on here. The service was exemplary, people were friendly, responsive, and very helpful, especially with getting my luggage from my car in the parking lot and then back. A lot of it has been written about the parking situation, and it’s not that big of a deal. There’s a parking garage exactly one block away from the hotel, which was convenient and not too expensive. The hotel bent over backwards to assist me with my luggage during check in and check out which made it much less of a hassle. The location is unmatched. It’s right off of Ben Yehuda street and beautiful Nachlat Shiva. The gym is well, equipped and clean, the pool was beautiful and warmly heated, and the steam room and sauna was excellent. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The hotel is central and well situated where Ben Yehuda meets Jaffa Street with excellent transport links. We found the staff to be very pleasant and very helpful (especially Tamir on reception) and check in/out was straightforward. Our bedroom was clean, good sized and well appointed. There is a warm, decent sized swimming pool in the basement and a small gym (though I must confess to being defeated by the multipurpose exercise machines!) There is a good sized lounge area on the entrance floor and an extensive breakfast available in the rooftop restaurant. There is a drinks bar in the lounge area but I would have preferred that snacks could be made available there also (I think they sometimes are). All in all, our stay here was a very pleasant experience

Podría haber sido mejor, aunque el hotel es espléndido. En recepción, parecía más interesado en su teléfono móvil que en atenderme cuando hice Check-In, y un rostro sonriente, la atención amable y atenta siempre se agradece y se valora. Me encantó el hotel, la habitación parecía impecable y muy cómoda. Aunque las alfombras del pasillo necesitan más atención y limpieza. La mañana justo antes del Check-Out, caminaba hacia mi habitación después de desayunar en su lindo restaurante, cuando fui cuestionado por un empleado de limpieza sobre si haría Check-Out y cuándo saldría de la habitación. Tal pregunta me dejó incómodo, es algo inaceptable que se hagan ese tipo de preguntas a los huéspedes. Yo pagué por mi estancia en el hotel y siguiendo las reglas del hotel, sé que la hora para el Check-Out es hasta las 11am. Fue una pregunta desagradable. Por el resto, me encantó hospedarme en el hotel.

I had high expectations for this hotel from all the reviews I read. I booked 3 rooms for our stay as we were traveling with our son and a friend. We had to check in twice. The first time was an hour before the rooms were made available and then once they were we were asked to check in again. Despite my trying to tell the reception staff that this had already been done, he rudely stopped me from speaking and told me he was doing his job. I eventually called the previous staff member who checked me in who sorted our the situation. But no apology, they just argued amongst themselves and carried on. Liked: Area, location is close to everything. 15-mins to the Wall, 5 mins to market, 4 stops from main rail station. You can't get better than that. The hotel is old school but it's clean and quiet (we were on the 10th Floor) Disliked: staff (my experience, may be different another time), room was very small, no coffee pods for the machine, aircon was super loud. I think there are many other great options in JLM at this price and we would probably explore those the next time we visit.

I LOVED this hotel! The room was great - absolutely, totally quiet, clean, very comfortable, with an espresso machine and tea kettle, robe and slippers. The hotel spa and gym are terrific - well-equipped, clean, lovely. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful with everything. The location couldn't be better - lots of cafes, shopping, transportation everywhere. My only small criticism is that the breakfast buffet, while abundant, was not as well-stocked as some other five star hotels - though I only had time for breakfast one day out of my seven at the hotel. It's definitely my new favorite hotel in Jerusalem and I can't wait to return!

Tamar at reception is a great host and representative of the hotel. Large rooms and shower space. Beautiful pool and spa area. Breakfast is worth waking up and to die for. Highly recommend. Great location right of the rail line and near Ben Yehudah St. Plenty of food, coffee shops and sites nearby. A+

The staff is friendly, the hotel is in decent shape and the location is right at the center of everything which is amazing. However you are not supposed to feel like people in the street are with you in the room when you are on the 8th floor. Any self respecting hotel would have soundproof windows. Service was ok though we asked the safe to be opened and nobody came... Overall a nice hotel and the beds are very comfortable but not recommended if you're a light sleeper because it's very noisy outside until late at night.

The hotel was in a great location, a 10 minute walk to the New Gate of the Old City. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room was serviced daily and kept clean and the a/c worked very well. Room was a little smaller than we expected but otherwise it was a wonderful stay

The hotel is central and well situated where Ben Yehuda meets Jaffa Street with excellent transport links. We found the staff to be very pleasant and very helpful (especially Tamir on reception) and check in/out was straightforward. Our bedroom was clean, good sized and well appointed. There is a warm, decent sized swimming pool in the basement and a small gym (though I must confess to being defeated by the multipurpose exercise machines!) There is a good sized lounge area on the entrance floor and an extensive breakfast available in the rooftop restaurant. There is a drinks bar in the lounge area but I would have preferred that snacks could be made available there also (I think they sometimes are). All in all, our stay here was a very pleasant experience

Tamer at the front desk was extremely helpful! My husband was sick and he got a Dr for him. This truly felt like a home away from home. the location is amazing... everything is right at the front door and everything is within walking distance. The pool and spa are excellent as well. Rooms are big for Israel. Please go to Israel and enjoy this nice hotel!

We tried calling the front desk before our stay multiple times with no response. We had to park far from the hotel because there was no where to park by the hotel or a way to access the front of hotel by car just bring in our luggage. There were mosquitoes at night and we couldn’t sleep so we called the front desk at 3 am and they said they will send someone over.., which was a knock at 10 am… after a night of no sleep. We told front desk in the morning about our night they just shrugged it off.

\t1.\tDid not receive the complimentary bottle of wine as promised. \t2.\tThe hotel was completely empty, yet I was told there were no available upgrades. I was assured my room was the best they had, which is simply untrue as their website clearly shows better options. \t3.\tOn the first night, I called the main office to request the heat be turned on. They said they would handle it, but they didn’t. I woke up in a freezing room and ended up catching a cold. \t4.\tOverall, the staff’s attitude was dismissive and unprofessional, making me feel undervalued as a guest.

Tamer at the front desk was so helpful and accommodating! My husband was sick and he helped me get a Dr. everyone should come to Israel!!! Such a great country. This hotel is wonderfully located and a good value. Can walk to everything!

Front desk and reception and concierge staff were excellent. The breakfast restaurant was OK but tables were not cleaned and dishes piled up andcsome of the food that was supposed to be hot. Was not hot.

The Herbert Samuel in Jerusalem provides incredible value for money and world-leading service. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, professional, helpful, and committed to customer service. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they always followed up on requests to make sure things had been sorted or resolved. It's not the cheapest hotel around this area, but with the Herbert Samuel, you get way more than you pay for. I look forward to my next stay there.

Best location in the city, close to the old city but also very close to many restaurants and shops. Service is quite curt, but that seems to be normal in Israel. Could use a renovation, rooms and public spaces are looking tired. Gym is small but adequate. More like a 4 star than a 5 star property. Note that the hotel does not have road access - if you have a car, park beforehand at the lot identified on the hotel’s website.

This is a great hotel to stay at. I was there an entire week and the room was cleaned every day, the staff were very cordial, and it’s a 5 minute walk to Mamilla Mall. I read some reviews that make me wonder if they actually stayed there. Oh and the breakfast menu was super fresh and beautifully laid out.

Tamar at reception is a great host and representative of the hotel. Large rooms and shower space. Beautiful pool and spa area. Breakfast is worth waking up and to die for. Highly recommend. Great location right of the rail line and near Ben Yehudah St. Plenty of food, coffee shops and sites nearby. A+

Terrible the staff was not friendly! The breakfast because of the sabbath and next Sunday was terrible nothing offered as the day before. All hot products are taken away only cold cuts and pastries are offered. The hotel needs to be refurbished!

This is a clean 4 star hotel that borders on 5 stars but let me explain. The property is a little bit older but in excellent condition and has very helpful staff. Location is great. If you are looking for a great location in central Jerusalem with really comfy rooms and beds and a great shower, and don’t want to pay $150-300/night (depending on time of year) this is a great option. If they were to put a killer kosher restaurant in their F&B spaces this would be a top property and compete with the big 5 stars properties.

Nous avons passe une nuit dans cet hotel que nous connaissons. Sur le site Hotels.com le petit dejeuner etait a 11€ sur place on nous a demande 35€. Fois 3 cela parait beaucoup alors que l on y passe la nuit.

Excellent hotel. Very reasonably priced. Under the radar for some reason but it's in a great location in downtown Jerusalem. Right by the light rail. 30 minute walk to Western Wall. Clean rooms helpful staff, great breakfast!
