Upon arrival I was informed the elevator was out of order. The customer in front of me got a discount due to this. Because I booked through hotels.com, I couldn’t get any discount and was stuck paying over double that persons rate. The hotel itself was ok, staff was fine, but this inconsistency is simply unfair.

The stay was nice only complaint was elevator was broken which meant carrying bags to the second floor which hotel called and told us about prior to arrival. We stayed two nights and it wasn’t fixed before we left

Nice can clean room. Comfortable beds. Elevator was out of service, and we were on the third floor, so that was kind of a pain, but overall, it was a nice stay and worth a return stay on our next trip to the area.

The pool is closed until further notice for maintenance and that was not disclosed when making the reservation. I would have chosen a different hotel so we could have enjoyed the pool.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and attentive. When we arrived, they told us the elevator was not working. But, they quickly moved us to the ground floor. We thought the breakfast was amazing

There was no one at the front desk when I arrived.The room was noisy. The room above was awake at 4am making noise. There were no handicap assist bars in bathroom. The hallway carpets were dirty. Your breakfast host was very friendly but the food was not hot.

Room and Hotel were clean. We were on 1st floor. Heard people above us stomping around during the day. Did not disturb us at night. Blackout curtains worked great as we were facing the parking lot. Temp was fine. We didn’t adjust anything temperature wise. Chlorine smell in hallway from pool but was no smell in our room. Would have preferred to be on 3rd floor but we didn’t specify so maybe they didn’t know that. There was also a bus there so maybe those people took the top floor. Very nice employees. Breakfast included. Was cheese omelets, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, sausage, juice, coffee, pancakes, cereal. Better than some Continental breakfasts at most chain hotels. Dining area was clean. Only there for 1 night. 5 min to downtown Marshall.

This hotel does not look like a Holiday Inn Express. It was messy and shared areas were dirty. The bathroom door was old and didn’t lock. Aside from the check in experience, this was not the type of stay I’d expect at the Holiday Inn.

The free breakfast was better than most hotels in the area. We stayed on the 2nd floor and I found it was a bit noisy in the morning when people were walking around on the 3rd floor. Housekeeping also knocked on our door at 6:30am while we were still sleeping. Thought that was a bit too early. Other than that is was a great stay and would stay again!

From the room, we could hear TV, conversations, and footseps in neighboring rooms. It was a pretty full house, so the noise level was as expected. We had a lovely tree-shaded view overlooking a hill and there was no highway road noise. I appreciated the light-blocking shades! The hot breakfast was well-stocked, and the fancy new grind-and-brew coffee was a nice touch.

Heating in room was ridiculous. We left for about 2.5 hours early evening and upon returning the temp was °79 in the room. Wall thermostats were supposed to control the old heater/AC units. The old unit controls were still operational and would override the the wall controls. The hotel was informed but acted indifferent to the issue. We either sweat or froze. Zero happy medium.

This was my first stay at this Holiday Inn and I was impressed. Especially with the spaciousness of the room. I was solo, but it would’ve been perfect for my family of 4. Breakfast was great, lots of choices hot and cold. My only complaint was the fitness room. It was pretty small, only 3 pieces of equipment and the uncontrollable temp was set at scorching. Otherwise, it was a very nice place to stay.

The people above my room are stomping around and it is shaking the walls in my room. Its ridiculous. I have traveled quite a bit and I do not recall ever having an issue like this. The place is obviously poorly designed and constructed. I will never stay here again! Nor should anyone reading this

The hotel was nice and quiet and clean and comfortable. The bedding was very comfortable as well. Breakfast wasn’t the best experience regarding you get what you get when it gets there type of vibe. But overall the room was great!

Our stay was wonderful. Candace had a room ready early. She made check in quick and easy. Hospitality immediately upon our arrival. Candace shared discount information for a local eatery and welcomed our grandchildren like family. The holiday decorations were festive and fun. We had a lovely Christmas visit although the weather was frightful. Thank you.

Service desk was always available and housekeeping was super friendly. We were there for a cheer competition and they wished all the team’s good luck. Easy access to the freeway. Needed a late checkout and was granted it with no problem. Truly enjoyed our stay

This was an fantastic hotel. Very clean and beautiful. The staff was super nice. We were amazed at how quiet it was. It was easy on and off the highway with a gas station right next door. Oh and a fabulous Denny's next door. I would highly recommended it.

We had a family wedding to attend & this hotel served its purpose as a place to sleep. Unfortunately our room was right next the stairs & the elevator wasn’t working. People were stomping up & down late & early. On a positive note, it was close to the venue located right off the highway next to a gas station & Denny’s, which was convenient.

Right off the interstate. This hotel is amazing! The staff was awesome. I will be staying here again. Gas station and Dennys pretty much in the same parking lot.

Convenient location with a Denny's, a Pizza Spot and gas station all within walking distance. The bed was extra comfy, and the staff greeted is coming and going every time

Room and Hotel were clean. We were on 1st floor. Heard people above us stomping around during the day. Did not disturb us at night. Blackout curtains worked great as we were facing the parking lot. Temp was fine. We didn’t adjust anything temperature wise. Chlorine smell in hallway from pool but was no smell in our room. Would have preferred to be on 3rd floor but we didn’t specify so maybe they didn’t know that. There was also a bus there so maybe those people took the top floor. Very nice employees. Breakfast included. Was cheese omelets, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, sausage, juice, coffee, pancakes, cereal. Better than some Continental breakfasts at most chain hotels. Dining area was clean. Only there for 1 night. 5 min to downtown Marshall.

The free breakfast was better than most hotels in the area. We stayed on the 2nd floor and I found it was a bit noisy in the morning when people were walking around on the 3rd floor. Housekeeping also knocked on our door at 6:30am while we were still sleeping. Thought that was a bit too early. Other than that is was a great stay and would stay again!

Hotel claimed oven was broke so they wouldn't have biuffet breakfast that was prominently featured on their website and was mentioned in several positive reviews. I discovered that it was out of order for over a week. In addition, they didn't have clean towels available on daily room service and was told I could obtain them in the evening when they were done being washed. Never seen that in all my years of travel. I was there for 4 days. Won't ever go back.

Excellent pillows and bed! Very clean room and friendly atmosphere. Hot breakfast was perfect Plenty of food items to choose from! All and all, would recommend this location as i will be staying there again!!

There was no one at the front desk when I arrived.The room was noisy. The room above was awake at 4am making noise. There were no handicap assist bars in bathroom. The hallway carpets were dirty. Your breakfast host was very friendly but the food was not hot.

We had a very good experience at this hotel. The room and bathroom were clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety. Overall, a comfortable and pleasant stay—highly recommended!

The room was clean and breakfast was great. The staff was helpful and friendly. The only problem we had during our stay was the internet. The internet would come and go during use.

Elevator and WiFi not working, keys had to be rekeyed a few times. Stayed 2 nights, no room clean. Stayed in Bayfield Mi earlier this year for 5 weeks for business, cleaned evry day. Spoke to the manager, told her the problems , she just stared at me. I said to her that it was a sad excuse for a Holiday Inn, she replied " It`s still aholiday Inn". I asked her for an apology and she just stared at me again. She then proceeded to ask me if I wanted to leave. I said " I`ve paid for my room, go away". Shouted after me in the corridor, "You go away". I never leave a review, good or bad and I stay in Hotels around 15-20 weekends a year. This time I felt like I had to leave one. Most unprofessional people ever. Front desk staff were very scruffy looking. Will not use IHG again.

This was a better than expected stay at a mid-tier lodging chain. The building appears to be new, all fixtures and fittings present as such. Room and bathroom nice and clean. In-room facilities as expected, comfy beds, plenty of storage. Quiet location right by the freeway. Staff readily available and helpful. The included breakfast was far superior to anything I've experienced recently at lodging chains, a nice variety of hot and cold foods. Good value for money, Highly recommended.
