The Hampton is currently undergoing a major interior renovation project. We stayed in one of the limited number of rooms still available. It was clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable. There were plenty of parking spaces close to the hotel even when more guests would have been checked in. Breakfast included a variety of options and the coffee was good rather than being coffee flavored hot water. Our only point of dissatisfaction was the shower. It included two portable shower heads and neither was well positioned for taller guests. They were movable but constantly handling a shower head while trying to wash you hair is an annoyance. Hopefully, the new rooms contain fixed shower heads positioned higher to accommodate all guests.

This is clearly a property in transition. Upon arriving, the desk agent was extremely friendly and helpful. The agent was equally friendly and helpful when we departed (although we didn't receive the promised receipt via email). Unfortunately, one of the reasons we selected this property was the availability of EV chargers, and we were told that, due to the construction, the chargers were disconnected. Under normal circumstances, this would have been catastrophic, but there happened to be a supercharger just next door. Everything is under construction, as the property did a decent job of keeping the dust and noise to a minimum. The room was fine, good size for our needs, but here is where the confusion starts. The room rate was higher than your typical "just off the highway" spot, and when you combine that with the active construction site, the EV charger mishap, and the bare-bones bedding, pillows, and towels, you get a confusing experience. The absolute best part: the well-varied breakfast with hot and cold foods and a strong cup of coffee. A perfect way to start the day. This property has a lot of potential, but right now, the rate is not aligned with the overall experience. Would we stay here again? Yes, but we would also consider other properties nearby too.

The hotel was under construction and the pool was closed. I wish we would have known that before booking our room. We’ve stayed here before and will continue to book here. Like the breakfast and size of room.
