Quality Inn near Martinsville Speedway

Some of the doors didn’t work with the cards and I was told “oh yeah that one has to be reset, use the other one”. The other one did NOT require a key at all. That door was actually broken. It did NOT LOCK at all. The hall ways had black rolled up stuff for two days. It looked like pool noodles that had been broken up and left in the halls. There was white stuff in the hall for two days before anyone vacuumed it up. I’m not sure what that stuff was but it was A LOT of it all the way down the hall. The lobby was so HOT they had to leave the doors open and it was over 90 degrees each day. The lady said they don’t have air conditioning in the lobby. That’s awful working conditions. The 1st time in my life (I’m over 50) that I’ve been to a hotel and the lobby didn’t have air conditioning. I travel A LOT and I’ve never seen that. Check in time is 3, I got there about 6:30 and was told the room was not ready. I said WHAT it’s after 6:30. They lady did apologize and said oh I have, they just finished it. In simpler terms I will never stay at a Quality Inn again. I would rate them 1 star and would not recommend them to anyone!!! Next time I come to the area I’ll just have to pay the higher prices at another hotel.

I arrived to a poorly lite entry as well as dirty floors. When I arrived at my room it was older and there were stains in the tub and surround. The parking lot was loud and there were a few cars playing loud music. I was shocked by the amount of water damage in the hotel.

One of the side door has a broken lock. Anyone could have easy access to the building and that make me very scared and especially for my family. The outside perimeters was very dirty. The inside carpet looks worn-out and old.

Run down property with no safety precationary measures in place, no cameras in or outside the facility, rooms looked like they were broken into with scrape marks in the door frames, lack of water fountain, no hot breakfast, half-put effort into cleaning of the rooms with clear signs of water damage through the facility, side door claims to require a key for entrance which doesnt work as the door lock is damaged and doesnt auto-lock. Price for stay is definetly overpriced for what they offered. At least they do not have bedbugs so that is a plus, although I did notice an occasional ant crawling around in the room. No safebox available in rooms. As bad as the stay was it seemed to be the besy option for the time if you need/want to stay in this area and the Hilton (just next door) is all booked up.

It had a large patch of black mold growing in the corner that I didn\'t see until I was checking out because it was hidden behind a chair that I moved to make sure I didn\'t drop anything behind it. Overall condition of the hotel is as bad as the room. Back door didn\'t lock at night. back entryway is dark and dirty. Smells of old smoldering cig butts because they have a butt receptacle under the overhang of the rear entry way. I could go on, but I feel you get the point. I have been to their website and looked at the reviews. Most of the reply\'s from the company are sorry we are currently going through renovations. I call BS. on that blanket statement. This Hotel needs to be demolished, the land sanitized, and build a new facility worth staying at. .

The hotel is a little run down but the staff was exceptional. We did have air quality issues in our first room but they graciously moved us and it was better. I hope they are able to do some updating but you could tell they were trying to keep it clean. The pool was nice. Again, the staff was wonderful, I just think the air conditioning units need cleaning was my biggest issue.

Desk clerk was friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and room was clean and quiet. Stayed two nights, slept well. Good shower, didn't use the pool but it looked nice. Easy to find location. Good breakfast with lots of options. Egg, sausage, cheese biscuits; breakfast pizza bagels in frig. Waffles (chocolate and regular) cereals (hot and cold), yogurt, fruit, pastries, bagels, juice, coffee, and fixins. Eating area was clean and laundry was easily accessible, took quarters. We left a box in room with my husband's rx, and they are mailing it to us. Thank you to the housecleaning staff, desk clerk, and manager.

The side door from the outside leading into the building, which was supposed to be locked, was open for anyone to walk into without the staff knowing. The hallways were full of the smell of weed on both floors. The room it self was horribly nasty. There was a red/dark brown wet spot on one of the comforters, black spots and hair on the sheets and pillowcases on both beds. The bathroom floor looked dirty and black around the edge and there was black mold on the ceiling above the shower as well as above the bathroom door frame

Place was nasty

This was a quick stay so we knew it would be simpler. BUT it was dirty and when the flood from some upper area started at 11pm it was disgusting. We asked for a different room. It was marginal but seemed dry. Super cold so turned on the heat then the heater smoked. Ran outta there Fortunately the evening staff was super nice and did not charge us. Found room $$$ next door. You get what you pay for and then some.

This was the o my hotel available in the town, I had no other options to stay. Staff was friendly, came into room there was dirt on the carpet and hair and debris in the bathroom I personally had to clean it myself. Unacceptable!!! Upon me leaving I came down stairs and slipped on a very wet title floor which smelled of bleach, the sign wasn’t visible from coming down the stair it was place next to a chair not in vividly view. I made a inceident report with them manager wasn’t on site at 9:00am. I had to get back home and ran extremely late. Because of the fall I couldn’t go to work for two days and ruined my planned vacation and my belonging. I would like for them to compensate my stay as well as clothes.

Just in general this was a pretty gross area. There’s were many other options to stay except Hilton which was $125 more a night. Next time I’ll be paying the higher rate to stay at Hilton though. My room was recently remolded but still dingy and not really to standard. My towels were clean but had holes. the tub has mold in the grout and selling around the edges. It was just kinda yuck. The pillows were clumpy. The blanket thin. The mattress sagged in the middle. I was only there to sleep so I made it work. Be mindful that you’ll be staying with everyone else that is saving the extra $125 a night by not staying at Hilton too so you’ll want to just plan to be in your room before dark. The front parking lot was well lit but not the back.

One of the beds had visable stained dirty sheet on bed we took it off and slept in the bed. After seeing that noticed alot of dirty features the door to enter the building to get to our room s.elled of smoke need to stop from smoking i. The hall outside. Also the trash can was overglowing Friday and still had not been emptied Sunday. Nasty..beer bottles food, just nasty.

When I arrived at the facility there were maids. Carts lined up on my floor which was the 1st floor I saw a trash all over the floor including the doorway, to enter the facility from the parking lot. When the maids left the trash was still there. I found beard shavings on top of my sink. The floors were stained.

Quality Inn could improve on their quality. The toilet bowl looked like it had not been cleaned. The sheer drapes had stains on them. The heating unit and bathroom fan are obnoxiously loud. The tile floor repair was poorly done. Pictures were not hung properly. The lamp shades are dingy. On the positive side the bed was clean and comfortable. It’s nice having a bedside table on both sides of the bed. The shower facility was good.

Quiet stay fir a family trip. The room was clean and spacious. There are some obvious cosmetic needs that need to be addressed like peeling wallpaper and stained carpets but the staff work hard to keep everything clean. Unless you ask for more towels there are only 2 provided so everytime they took our towels for cleaning we had to get more but they were always polite about it. Breakfast was simple with waffles, plenty of drink options, and coffee, oatmeal and prepackaged options for pastries but nothing else hot without the microwave heating up a biscuit with sausgae and egg on it. We enjoyed our stay and it was quiet, easy to get in and out of and located close enough to everything we needed to do while in town.

I liked the service most. The front desk representatives were friendly and helpful. Although the hotel rooms were outdated, the bed was very comfortable. I would go back based on the service.

The bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious. The carpet in the hallways was dirty and worn. Wallpaper is coming off. Not sure about the cleanliness of the carpet in the room? The owner needs to invest in the property.

Besides the air conditioning not working properly, everything else was comfortable.

The breakfast was adequate. The hotel was clean and the room was adequate. It was close to where my conference was held and there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. I had a restful sleep and the hotel was quiet and conducive to sleep. The water pressure was very forceful and water from the shower was getting on the floor. It would have been helpful for a bath mat. I had forgotten my toothbrush and toothpaste and the lady at the front desk provided me with what the hotel had. I would stay here again.

Would not stay here again. Location wasn't bad, right on what seemed like the main strip in Martinsville and close to food options etc. From the outside it looks fine and expected things to be good from the view of the lobby and front desk. Once we checked in to the room it was 79 degrees although the AC was on full blast. Of course I wouldn't say it was blowing cold air. We were in town for a music festival and everything was sold out so what other option did I have? I guess I was stuck with what I got. Being exhausted from the festival I did manage to fall asleep in the heat after getting a shower. While in the shower I noticed black mold on the ceiling, that can't be healthy. I will say the bed was comfortable though the pillows were lumpy and I think it's time for new ones. I expected we might sleep pretty late being how exhausted we were from the festival and how late we got in. Actually didn't sleep much more than 4-1/2 hours, presumably because it was just getting hotter, the thermostat showed 80 degrees when we got up. Don't know how or why when it was in the 60's outside. Anyways I couldn't wait to get out and into my truck with some working AC. Between the heat in the room and the black mold on the bathroom ceiling, I can't recommend staying here. I can't believe it but I actually told myself I probably would've been better off at the Scottish Inn up the road.

I stayed in room 121 and at about 3 am I heard water running. I got up to see where it was coming from and it was coming from the ceiling… this hotel is awful I won’t stay here again… and the bathroom door had a whole in it as if someone kicked the door

They didn't clean room or replace towels. Said we had to request. Unofficially lack of help. Was not clean and smelled. Would not recommend.

This is an older property but it’s clean and comfortable. Staff is just outstanding. Haven’t felt so welcome in a hotel ever.

Hotel was decent. Only thing was staff didn't bring any clean towels or come to the room on Sunday so in future I'd recommend asking them.

Breakfast was better than some. They had bake your own waffles. Hotel is kind of old and nothing great to speak of. However, it was convenient, price was right, and good for one night stays.

Property needs to be redone. It has a stench smell and grime stuck in the bathtub. The breakfast options were good.

Room was a good price for the money. However the coffee they supply was very cheap and had no flavor it might’ve been stale. But other than that everything worked and was very quiet.

Everything was dirty, room door had been jimmed open at a previous time, hot water did not work at bath sink, waffle iron had no timer, back door key never worked, breakfast was not inviting, etc. Must I go on!
