Bear Trap Dunes * 6BR Luxury Townhouse

House was clean and as described. House was far more expensive than other similar houses in the area so was disappointing to see there were no toiletries provided, and that host required all garbage to be taken out.

While the bones of this property are good, the ingredients inside are lacking in my opinion. For example: pillows are worn and skimpy. Could not get ice maker to work and no container to collect ice cubes if it did (might of been our error but we did not report this to property mgr - just purchased a couple bags of ice). There were no pot holders - we used our towels to remove items from oven instead. The shower heads must have been 20 years old and gushers. Utensils, plates, etc were lacking. Washer/Dryer room smelled of mildew. Dining room photo shows a table with 6 chairs. In reality, there is a different table with a built in bench seat.The stove and dishwasher are now stainless - nicer probably than the contractor grade in photo. The chairs for the kitchen-breakfast nook do not have seat backs. The little pond outside the front entrance is full of algae - not the fault of the property owners - just an eyesore. Note that there is an extra charge to use the amenities shown. Not sure why these cannot be included in cost of rental and access may be limited if you rent after Labor Day. Having the Dunes golf course is a great bonus. Parking was a challenge in front due to golfers - better in back. Our group also played a local par 3 and executive course nearby - both in excellent shape. The basement game room was the main hangout space with pool table, foosball table and large TV. Bring chalk for the pool cues - none provided. With a few refreshes, I'd recommend!

This was a big townhouse and the layout was good for a diverse age group. Suggestions are to inform guests of the location of the entry door because we thought we needed a key until we found the back door. Additionally, sharing the location of parking would help. Hot water supply seemed good for everyone and the dual heating- a/c unit was great. It would be great if you could install hooks throughout the bathrooms and bedrooms to allow for towel hanging, etc.

This property met all of our needs for a wonderful family vacation. It's located in the beautiful community of Bear Trap Dunes, and is just a short drive from the beach. Also, the owner was very helpful and responsive in helping us with an issue during our stay. Would highly recommend this rental to others.
