A good value for the price. The hotel is a bit worn and the amenities are rather minimal, but the staff were friendly and the room and bed were comfortable.

Old property that has not been as well maintained as expected. Threshold into my room, carpet was duct taped down. Beds were absolutely horrid!!! Old worn out springs mattress with a board base. Every plug in the room was used for lighting, etc and the plugs in the lights either didn’t work or chargers, etc felt like they were going to fall out. First floor windows are at knee height to the parking lot and have a broomstick in the frame to try to keep people from pushing them open. This is obviously a hotel used for work crews to stay in while in town to work on a job site. “Grab& Go” breakfast consisted of two types of cereal, a couple apples, and Lil Debbie honey buns/nutty bars. They at least had cleaning staff, no bugs, and except for slamming doors was quiete. Would not visit again.

We only stayed one of the two nights because we woke up to discover bed bugs and bites. However, what made it worse was the front desk staff when we informed them. He dismissed our concerns, made us feel like it was our fault “they probably came in on your bags”, and was so defensive it made us feel unseen “no one’s complained before you, so it must not be us.” To boot, when I asked for an invoice or any documentation he could provide for proof of staying, he said “there’s nothing I can provide since you booked through Expedia”. Poor conditions sometimes happen. I get it. But horrible customer service is a choice.

Beds are hard as a rock, room is poorly cleaned, theres hair in the layers of the blankets. No bedbugs. Bathtub was scary, pictures attached. Its litetally peeling paint. I'll never stay at this place again. Breakfast is your choice of 2 cereals and coffee. Room doors slammed constantly, there needs to be some kind of bumper to help the noise, no sleep for us sadly!

Rented 2 rooms, not sure about the second room but my disability accessible room had a window air conditioner and the room smelled very musty like mildew. There was no coffee for the coffee maker or creamer in the room and the pillows were absolute trash. I ended up checking out after one in that room, left by regular check out time at 11am but they refused to refund any money for the second night. Thank goodness the second room was only reserved for one night or I would have lost double my money. I travel often to Carbondale but will not be using Super 8 again while there. It also will affect how often I choose Super 8 in other cities since I can not check out when I wish and will be charged regarless. Very poor set up.

This was a mediocre place for a one night stay. They provide 2 towels per room even though I booked for 3 people. I guess we were supposed to share the towels. The guy told me that was their policy but he eventually brought an extra towel to my room. There were stains on the comforter that looks like dried up blood. So he brought another one to us with stains but he said that one was bleach stains. I’m so over hotels after my experience this weekend.

The gentleman at the front desk was very nice but the room was gross. It had a very strong mildew smell, lots of things were broken or cracked, and the bed sheets had large stains all over them. If I’d had another choice, I wouldn’t have stayed there.

Window to room would not lock,had a broom stick to prevent intruders! Very unnerving to sleep. TV screen had a grid of white lights showing thru picture which rendered views very strained. Phone chargers would not stay in outlets on nightstand and barely above coffeepot. In wall air conditioner was very loud. Will never stay in this location and will not recommend! Clerk was nice.

In a word, the property is "tired". The hotel seems a few years late to be remodeled. Carpeting, linens, all feel very dated and worn. The rooms need to be aired-out The bathroom was generally clean, but water pressure was poor. The location is convenient, however, I would not recommend this hotel.

Staff strange and confrontational. The called the cops because the window was open. My friend sharing the room with was fixing it for them. Weirdest hotel stay ever. Staff brought 3 guys to the room to intimidate us. So ill never stay at one of these chains again

The tv in the room was actually kind of small and impossible to get working. But the room was very clean and we slept great!!! I can't say much about the breakfast, but the coffee was awful. And the staff was rude. We've stayed there dozens of times and never had a problem, but this time they refused to give back the deposit saying they could smell traces of smoke and ashes. First off, we barely left the room long enough to smoke unless it was to let our dogs out. Second, there were no ashtrays outside and my husband doesn't like littering so he puts his cigarettes out and then puts them in his pocket. The people both when we checked in and checked out looked at my husband like he is getting ready to rob them or something. Little do they know that he has had 2 brain surgeries. So that long hair they were judging is actually covering up his scars from the surgeries.

Homeless couple was outside my room in their car and I was on the second floor playing loud rap music with no cares to keep folks awake. He came in the have coffee in the mornings and was dirty and scarry looking. They may have let them in to a room to sleep. My room was not cleaned two of the three days. I left a day early and he would not credit my card. He said I booked through Expidia a third party so he could not give credit.

The staff was excellent. Very accommodating. Great price for a clean and comfortable stay. I stayed there 4 nights on a property / business trip. I was always happy returning to the room after a hard work day. Lowes is right behind the hotel. Not really close enough to walk, but the shortest drive. Also a taco bell is near, a dunkin doughnuts is very walkable. All in all, maybe the best hotel choice in Carbondale.

Had to carry our bags up steps to get to 2nd floor. The mattress hurt our back. But the biggest disappointment was “breakfast.” Cold cereal and coffee so bad that my husband wouldn’t even drink it and he will usually drink any coffee. It’s like they threw something out there just so they can claim to have breakfast to trick those who make it a search criteria.

Front desk was pleasant. Room was clean and the shower was nice and hot. Not many choices for "breakfast" (fruit and cereal) but the coffee was good.

Nice motel, very clean, pleasant staff. Only negative is the advertised breakfast was very skimpy (cold cereal, milk, coffee, and some packaged sweet rolls).

An older property and furnishings but very clean. Breakfast was minimal and all sugar (think Little Debbie’s) and cereal. Best night sleep though with constant fan setting and blackout curtains. Great for the price!

The room was not as described. We booked a standard room with 2 queen beds. These were NOT queen beds. They were FULL beds, which was disappointing as I would have booked another hotel, had I known that. Other things to note, there’s no elevator, so if you have a lot of luggage, you’ll be taking the stairs. The free breakfast is pretty sad. You’re using community items (shared a falling of milk, orange juice and apple juice); that was something I’ve never seen. Sir conditioning in the room was cold, but when we arrived was off, so our room was VERY HOT. I do realize it’s a super 8, so you get what you get, but at least I’d like the room I paid for.

We stayed for a week to visit family. My son's room water temperature couldn't be changed from Luke warm. We had 2 rooms and both asked for extra pillows and blanket, they said they didn't have extra! The ONLY thing even adequate was housekeeping. The gentleman worked his butt of with what he had to work with. We will never stay here again.. we are us to si much more from Wyndham!
