Lakowe Lakes Hotel Golf and Country Estate by NEWMARK

It looks very promising, but the staff is so incompetent, slow and unwilling to help, that it destroys the whole experience. CHARGED MY CARD MORE THAN I APPROVED! The most infuriating thing is I've ordered their room service 4 times and 3 times they charged me more than the amount I've approved on my card. One was as expected. I had receipts! This was after check-out, I reached out their front-desk and they didn't help! ZERO SOUND INSULATION I specifically requested a quiet room (being unable to sleep due to noises) and the receptionist confirmed so, but the room was literally near the construction as I've discovered the next morning at 8am which lasted until evening. The receptionist said they could move me to another cottage, when I later pinged, they said everything is busy (strange given that lots of cottages were empty). Ookay. The day after that VERY LOUD grass mowing cut short my sleep. The problem is that these cottages have almost zero sound insulation, so you hear everything, including people walking nearby. BASIC OVERPRICED FOOD Breakfast is ok, plain and nothing interesting. A couple of local dishes, but prepared poorly (I tried in other hotels and they tasted better). In-room service is hit and miss, 2 days I received okay food, but on the 3rd day the surf & turf was SO good I wanted to thank their chef. So the hotel area is huge, looks nice, but there is little to none service maintenance and the overall stay ended up being very stressful and not worth it!

Had a great time. We had a bit of a hiccup with breakfast but staff went out of their way to make it up to us

My experience was very good and excellent. I can’t wait to visit again and again.
