The only real issue was the sound carrying from the hall and the room next to me. Our room had a door that connected to another room. Not our request but it just happened that way. I was able to hear the person clearing their throat and moving around early in the morning. I did not expect to be able to hear such soft noises between walls. Our neighbor was quiet but if they were noisier it would have made for a restless stay. The property is under renovation but the work area is tidy and did not interfere with our stay. Parking was convenient and just steps from our room. Staff was very pleasant and we were able to check in early to get our key. We had an engagement at the normal check in time and would be late getting back so this helped us to be able to drop luggage off and go. The price was reasonable and we appreciated the option of canceling, if we needed to, so close to our reservation date.

Was a good stay. Was a cheaper hotel than the others and the interior reflected that. Looked dated but was all clean, easy to check in, and a pleasant stay.

The staff was super friendly, but my room had a LOT of pink and black mold growing in the shower, including all over the showerhead, rendering the shower unusable for safety reasons. The boxspring was filthy and the room smelled kinda gross upon checkin which makes me wonder how clean the other surfaces are. I tried to go to the front desk to ask for a new room but nobody was there. Then I contacted Expedia about it once I had checked out and apparently the property says they can’t help because I didn’t report the issues… I won’t be staying here again.

The room was not the cleanest. It didn’t look like the picture. I stayed there for 3 nights and paid almost $500. The bolt on the door is very loose, there was blood stains on the bed and tons on the floor. The room felt gross and itchy. I can post pictures if it lets me.

Dirty, moldy, smelly, not anything that was written about this hotel is true. They did not clean our room and argued with me about. The picture is not an image of our room. The rooms were so wet with moisture that everything was wet. Our travel books left on the desk look like they were dropped into water. People were complaining at the front desk and they acted like they didn’t understand. Do not stay here. Filthy.

It was a nice quiet place close to anything you want to do. One thing we really appreciated was how clean the room was. The price was also reasonable for this time of year. We would definitely come back.

The hotel was fine. There was a clean bed to sleep in. Overall it wasn’t very clean or well decorated or modern. The bathroom was pretty dirty due to mildew and condensation spots. Definitely slowly being renovated. I felt we got what we paid for. I probably wouldn’t stay again and would pay for a nicer hotel next time.

It’s a two star hotel, so with that in mind, some of the shortcomings and conditions should be expected. The shower head was so low-flow it was like taking a shower with a mister. Makes a Fairfield seem like a Ritz Carlton.

Room was very small, bathroom even smaller. Shower had a foldable half-door so you had to be careful or you would get floor and toilet wet. Our room (163) waslocated next to a hallway door that squeaked loudly everytime someone opened. Suggested they oil the hinges. Plus side - Staff was very pleasant. Room was very clean. On site restaurants were good.

Arrived at the hotel around 10:15pm after traveling 4 hrs and nobody was around to check us in. Called and left several messages with no return phone call from them. Ended up sleeping in my vehicle. Completely rediculous and unprofessional. Will never use them again to stay at.

Disappointed in staff at front desk. He handed us a key, but neglected to tell us how to get to our room. Didn’t tell us there was breakfast in the morning. We left at 8:00 am and no one at front desk to get a receipt for our stay. We used to stay at Casco Bay Inn every year when we visited Freeport, but very disappointed this time.

I contacted them because the hotel we booked through them locked the lobby doors at 11 pm., didn’t answer the night phone posted on the window, and we were unable to get back into the room we paid for until morning. The hotel was Casco Bay Inn in Maine, just fyi and we froze in the car because there were no other rooms available in the area. Hotel.com offered no refund or credits and I will never use them again. Who locks lobby doors at 11? We were on vacation and they ruined it

Continental breakfast was good. Clean and very nice staff. Only issue never had anyone at front desk in the morning so hard to get any help- we had a broken blow dryer, but when we returned late that evening the front desk made a note to fix next day, which was fine with us. We stopped by the area on the way from boston to Maine and arrived late in the night, and the front desk staff was really friendly and helped us figure out the check in process outside of normal hours. The room was clean and spacious. We didn’t get to explore the area very much but felt very safe. Would definitely recommend to those making a stop here!

We NEVER saw anyone who worked there. They left our key outside! in a mailbox and left us a voicemail with our room number, since we arrived at the hotel after 10pm and weren't in a cell service area before as we drove through parts of Maine. The next morning we went to the breakfast room and met another guest who hadn't seen anyone either. If it had been an AIRBNB maybe, but it was a 40+ room hotel. The room was decent, but not spectacular. We needed more towels, but... Oh, they did enter our room while we were out and took our garbage and used towels, but didn't remake the beds. Weirdest place ever. I will go elsewhere if I go there again.

There was no manager on property after 10. We were not instructed that our key would not open the front door. We call the number on the door no answer. So we figured out our key would open a side door. The place is clean. Needs updating. And average price for an average stay

The Casco Bay Inn is currently undergoing some renovation, but this doesn't detract from accessibility or services. The staff is friendly and helpful. Across the street is a brew pub with a light fare menu. A bit further down Rt 1 is a great custard stand; approx. 1/8 mile. This location is modestly priced and conveniently located to Freeport.

Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Easy access from parking lot. Our first level room window faced parking so I had to pull curtains to block headlights at night. Continental plus breakfast. There is a micro-brewery like restaurant directly across the street and if you drive down the road a bit you run into the downtown area with shopping and other restaurants. Very convenient.

This was a short visit. reasonably pricednfor an overnight stay. The room was clean and comfortable. Hotel was quiet even though our room was near the stairs . The only dissapointment was there was a King sized bed with 4 small pillows definitly needed bigger pillows. The place was conviently located to the Portland area and the Freeport shopping area and plenty of restaurants in the area. I would stay here again.

Not fancy, but clean and the beds were comfortable, and a/c worked well. Parking was a little tight when we were there. Breakfast was very basic.

The good: it was quiet & conveniently located. The not so good: Mirrors were obviously forgotten in the cleaning process, stayed in a room with severely chipped sink needing replacement The bad: breakfast! Stale bagels,rubber hard boiled eggs,weak coffee & white sludge not even passable for OJ

I booked here because it included breakfast. The breakfast was a sad joke. It was a continental breakfast at best but barely. I came down 5 minutes before breakfast was due to close to get another cup of coffee and everything was already gone which doesn’t say much - they packed up the bagels and dry muffins. Otherwise, my room was quiet and adequate. The property was undergoing renovation so I don’t think it’s fair to comment on any of that but breakfast was sad.

The hotel is currently undergoing rennovation, but that was not a problem. The lobby, breakfast area, and room were super clean (much cleaner than any higher end property where I've stayed), and quiet. The front desk is often unattended, but that is understandable given the time of year (school starting), and the impact from US tarrifs killing the Canadian tourism sector. Finally, the breakfast offering is rather limited, but they do utilize all of the space that they have for that so it was not an issue. All in all I would highly recommend this property.

Traveling from Florida to Maine and it was economical for a one night stay. The hotel was clean but in the beginning stages of renovation. The security guard on the door, inside the room was broken. Very small television. The included breakfast was good with many options.

Clean and safe room. Shower was good; hot water and good water pressure. TV in the room did not work. No lights outside the hotel, hard to find at night. At continental breakfast, toaster did not work.

The Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. It was a off season so the Inn was very quiet. Loction was the other end of the outlets but very easy to get to, within a five minute drive. Cons of the Inn was that we did not have room service daily but I think it was because it was off season. The bathroom did not have counter space for your travel products. The included breakfast did not have a selection at all. Limited to bread, bagels, muffins, juice, coffee, cereal. No hot breakfast, but again, it was off-season. If you're looking for hot breakfast, it is not at this Inn. Overall it was an affordable and clean place to stay.

It was the first night the hotel was open. Staff was friendly and helpful. Still undergoing some last minute maintenance but other than that it was fresh and wonderful

This property was closed upon our arrival. The owner/manager said he would go cancel the reservation so that hotels.com would begin the process to issue the refund. There still has been no follow through on this and we just wait. DO NOT STAY HERE!! Very bad business.

Waited almost a half hour at checkin for someone to finally show up.Loud construction from the time i checked in at noon until 730 last night. Sounds like they are remodeling with plywood. That saw was ripping all day. Manager promised they would be done at 5. Lies. The saws started back up around 8 Am. Bed was horribly uncomfortable. Water stains all over the ceilings. This place was bad.
