The room was lovely but the highway traffic caused us not to be able to sleep well. (Ask for a room in the front of the hotel.) The pool was awesome. The staff were polite and helpful. The breakfast was not replenished like it should have been. That area needed to be wiped and cleaned as it was used.

Very clean and nice hotel. Awesome breakfast. good pool, comfortable room and bed. Only downside was the elevator was down when we checked in. They had a maintenance guy working on it, but it took quite awhile. The stairs wouldn't have been an issue for us, but we had a ton of stuff in the car to bring up to the room so we waited for the elevator in the lobby. The firepit outside was a great touch too! I think I paid $250Canadian which is by far cheaper than anything youll find in the Portland area. Probably the best hotel breakfast we've ever seen. Room was clean and comfortable, nice shower. 4.75/5 stars, only because of the elevator.

We would have liked to use the indoor pool but it was out of order for our week long stay. Other than that, it is an excellent, safe, clean and great property. We will be back. It is our go to when we come into town for family visits.

The pool was closed when we arrived due to it being sanitized. This was one of the main reasons for us staying there and wish I had been notified prior to checking it. Rooms were very dark. Could definitely use more lighting.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was clean, modern and great choice for my quick trip to Freeport. The staff was nice and fiendly. Breakfast was ok and the pool although small was nice and clean and the warm water was a real plus. Overall enjoyed my short stay.

Great hotel! The pool was small but enjoyable; fitness center was excellent. Breakfast food was great but just not available in quantity at all times due to lack of staff. And the staff was friendly n helpful.

Overall great stay! Pool area seemed to need some work. Breakfast was pretty good. Easy access to downtown Freeport area. Room was perfect for my sister and I plus 3 kids.

The accessible rooms are not very accessible for someone in need. The door to the bathroom is very heavy and does not stay open, making it difficult for someone in a wheelchair to handle. The beds are on a “cot” like platform and when my daughter sat on the end of the bed, the bed flipped up towards the wall, like a Murphy bed. Very dangerous. I would not recommend this hotel for the accessible rooms. Also, the shower was dirty and had rust stains throughout the wall and floor of the shower. Very disappointing. Conditioner bottle in the room was empty.

Check-in was easy and pleasant. When we walked into our room it was stifling hot and I was immediately sweating. Come to find out the thermostat was turned off and it was 84°. I prefer 68-70° so I didn't even set all my things down before I called the front desk and asked to switch rooms . Staff was very pleasant, brought a key up and moved us one door down. The room looked clean, I didn't inspect it. After a while though, I noticed a dirty pair of socks on the floor by one of the beds- that was so gross and made me feel like housekeeping did the bare minimum. I have no idea how they didn't notice that. I did give the socks to the front desk clerk at checkout so they were notified. The beds were too firm for me, but not the worst I've slept on. The breakfast was great, lots of fresh and tasty food with lots of options. Overall, it's a nice hotel and very clean. We were already talking about planning another trip and using this hotel in a couple months but after the socks, I admit I'm wary. (I know it's just socks, but they were dirty and if housekeeping didn't see them, I'm assuming the floor wasn't cleaned/vacuumed and that makes me wonder what else wasn't cleaned)

Room had a stench as soon as i opened the door, The toilet wasnt cleaned from prior occupents and was very dirty. I checked out immediately. Expedia and Hotel will not reimburse my money. Do not use Expedia they are no help and Hotel wont give back the money if you use it.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. My daughter enjoyed the heated pool. Continental breakfast was typical but free, so it met expectations. The location is super convenient to the highway and downtown Freeport. I have stayed at a few other hotels in the Freeport/Brunswick area and this is the overall best one by far.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. My daughter enjoyed the heated pool. Continental breakfast was typical but free, so it met expectations. The location is super convenient to the highway and downtown Freeport. I have stayed at a few other hotels in the Freeport/Brunswick area and this is the overall best one by far.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff was consistently friendly and helpful. Floors in the hallways, pool areas and rooms were very dirty with hair and other things. Shower was also dirty with hair and dirt. Bed was comfortable, front desk was understanding and quickly fixed room issue. Easy to check in and out. Breakfast was great!

This was a great hotel. Extremely clean and comfortable. Stayed in a king room- huge room with all the amenities- coffee maker, fridge, microwave, iron, blow dryer- everything. Breakfast was excellent with several choices. Would stay here again.

All night door slamming . Our door did not seal well so a lot of light from the hallway coming into the room. The mattress was not comfortable at all. This place does not have a Marriott feel or quality .. I have not stayed a this brand of Marriott before will not be coming back

Updated attractive hotel. Staff was positive & helpful. Room (on hwy side) had a lot of road noise throughout the night. Minimal lighting in room made it challenging for dressing and makeup. Bathroom is tiny with no exhaust fan. Breakfast was great and location very convenient to our event.

By mistake we were given a room right next to the utility room with loud noises going on all night. We were too tired to change rooms. Besides that, good place, excellent breakfast.

The property was easily accessible, super clean, updated and 3rd floor was a dream. Quiet, comfortable beds, spacious rooms and a good complimentary breakfast. Will definitely make this hotel our go-to when we travel to Freeport again.

The property was convenient and close to all shopping and state parks which made for a great trip of outdoor hiking, good food and shopping. Our room was clean but felt that it needed more light since it was dim/dark during the evening hours. Our bathroom was good except for the bathtub drainage which was very very slow. Housekeeping and morning breakfast was great, and we informed the front desk about our bathtub issue upon check out. Overall, a comfortable and nice time at Springhill. Thanks for having us!

The only thing that was good about the hotel was the staff. Everyone was accommodating and very nice. The water in the hotel was brown. The first room that we were in had brown water stains in the shower and then when we turned the water on in the shower and the sink it came out brown. We changed rooms in the morning before we had to get ready for the day. But by the last day the same thing happened. We mentioned it to the front desk before check out and they said other people mentioned that too. The rooms were updated and nice, however it was so dark in the room! Even with all the lights on it was very dark in the room, even during the day. There needed to be maybe 2 more lamps in the room to help with the darkness. The breakfast was good, however, was not monitored. So there was no coffee most of the time, and the breakfast food was all out and had to wait a while for things to get refilled. Someone should have monitored the breakfast station so when things were running low it would already be getting replaced.

Room was not cleaned. Per in toilet wit seat up. Bed was used, floor not vacuumed and food crumbs on couch. Did not stay and demanded refund. Asked for a call from management, but they never did. Will never stay there again.

Booked an accessible room with two queen beds, and told upon arrival that it was not available. The only accessible room was one king bed which certainly could not work for four people, and were only offered a second room at a discount. Management would not make it right in any way. I have never felt so disregarded. They did not even have a shower bench I could use in the room we could use in the room we were given.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff was consistently friendly and helpful. One of the highlights was the breakfast—it was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh, delicious options that made every morning enjoyable. The dining area was clean and well stocked, and everything was replenished promptly. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations, and I would happily stay here again. Pros: friendly staff, clean facilities, good breakfast. Cons: waited an hour for check-in, furniture and bed uncomfortable, no lighting in living room, lots of noise from unit above, had to request linens for sofa bed.

The property was easily accessible, super clean, updated and 3rd floor was a dream. Quiet, comfortable beds, spacious rooms and a good complimentary breakfast. Will definitely make this hotel our go-to when we travel to Freeport again.

The property was convenient and close to all shopping and state parks which made for a great trip of outdoor hiking, good food and shopping. Our room was clean but felt that it needed more light since it was dim/dark during the evening hours. Our bathroom was good except for the bathtub drainage which was very very slow. Housekeeping and morning breakfast was great, and we informed the front desk about our bathtub issue upon check out. Overall, a comfortable and nice time at Springhill. Thanks for having us!

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. My daughter enjoyed the heated pool. Continental breakfast was typical but free, so it met expectations. The location is super convenient to the highway and downtown Freeport. I have stayed at a few other hotels in the Freeport/Brunswick area and this is the overall best one by far.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. My daughter enjoyed the heated pool. Continental breakfast was typical but free, so it met expectations. The location is super convenient to the highway and downtown Freeport. I have stayed at a few other hotels in the Freeport/Brunswick area and this is the overall best one by far.

This was a great option for us. We were heading north to Bar Harbor from Portland and wanted to spend the night. The hotel was convenient from the highway, clean, great dining/shopping options close, and the breakfast was great. The staff was helpful and the beds were comfortable. Great way to start our trip.

The room was lovely but the highway traffic caused us not to be able to sleep well. (Ask for a room in the front of the hotel.) The pool was awesome. The staff were polite and helpful. The breakfast was not replenished like it should have been. That area needed to be wiped and cleaned as it was used.

Updated attractive hotel. Staff was positive & helpful. Room (on hwy side) had a lot of road noise throughout the night. Minimal lighting in room made it challenging for dressing and makeup. Bathroom is tiny with no exhaust fan. Breakfast was great and location very convenient to our event.

This property was amazing! Very clean and excellent staff. My only critique is that breakfast should get checked and refilled for the late risers. The hot breakfast was almost gone by the time we got to it. Other than that the choices were very good. Very clean and modern rooms. Loved it!

Very clean and nice hotel. Awesome breakfast. good pool, comfortable room and bed. Only downside was the elevator was down when we checked in. They had a maintenance guy working on it, but it took quite awhile. The stairs wouldn't have been an issue for us, but we had a ton of stuff in the car to bring up to the room so we waited for the elevator in the lobby. The firepit outside was a great touch too! I think I paid $250Canadian which is by far cheaper than anything youll find in the Portland area. Probably the best hotel breakfast we've ever seen. Room was clean and comfortable, nice shower. 4.75/5 stars, only because of the elevator.

This was a terrific value. The included breakfast was amazing in quality and in the variety of food options. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, and only a couple minutes from downtown Freeportand L.L. Bean.

Great hotel! The pool was small but enjoyable; fitness center was excellent. Breakfast food was great but just not available in quantity at all times due to lack of staff. And the staff was friendly n helpful.

I'll go straight to what went wrong. The ice machine was broken on our floor; the layout of the rooms is really awkward (room door/bathroom door; they ran out of food an hour before the 10 am deadline. The first time that has ever happened to us in many years of travel.

This hotel was an absolute disappointment, and after this experience, we will never stay here again. From the moment we arrived, the condition was unacceptable. Our room had so little lighting that we had to keep the window shade open just to see properly. The hallways smelled strongly of body odor, and even with the hallway windows open, the smell was awful. We traveled with children, and the pool should have been a highlight. Instead, it was closed for THREE DAYS of our stay. When it was open, the pool area felt close to 100 degrees. I became so overheated I felt like I couldn't breathe and was close to passing out. When I told the woman at the front desk, she said, "It's supposed to be like that." When I explained how unsafe it felt, she simply walked away and ignored me. The pool area was also filthy, with rusted doors and a black tarp draped along the top. The entire hotel felt dirty, smelled unpleasant, and appeared poorly maintained. I asked TWICE to have our room cleaned. We returned this evening and, once again, it had not been cleaned. Perhaps most frustrating is that previous negative reviews appear to receive the same generic, AI generated apology. I hope management actually acknowledges and addresses what guests are experiencing. We paid for a clean, comfortable hotel with working amenities. What we received fell far below reasonable expectations. We will not return and cannot recommend this hotel to other families. see photos on google review

Great value in Freeport! As good a stay as you’ll get at this price point. Very nice gym setup. Pool small and only ok. Fairly average breakfast but decent oatmeal topping options. Staff were friendly and kind.

Great spot for our family. Beds were very comfortable,, apt spotless and kids had a fun time playing fusbol and ice hockey! Parking was a little tight but manageable.

The hotel is nicely updated but it is located right next to the highway. The windows are old and provide no sound insulation. It was impossible to get rest and good sleep because of the constant noise from trucks and cars on the highway.
