This was the cleanest place I ever stayed. The rooms were basic but there were a lot of small things that showed a lot of thought was put into making it a step above for example the rooms had a safe for valuables. The beds were comfy and the towels were nicer quality than many other places I've stayed. I loved being right on the beach and so close to the fishing pier. This place was so ideal for a relaxing vacation. There was plenty of parking. I constantly saw staff outside working on the grounds. The staff was so friendly and it was pleasant to chat with them. Checkin and out was easy. I will definitely be back here. Loved the close proximity to other islands and beaches but you truly could come here and never leave the parking lot or the island if you wanted to. There is a restaurant next door although I didnt eat there this time. I can't say enough good about this place to do it justice. I wasnt sure what to expect being that it was my first time here but my experience was great and I want to stay here again in the future, I won't even look elsewhere because this was just too perfect and so cozy, comfortable, and clean.

For an older property the rooms were well cleaned and nice, could be a bit more soundproof. Very friendly atmosphere from the office staff and the other guests. Very short walk to the beach, pool was great and area was clean. It was really nice to be able to continue using the parking lot, pool, pier and bathroom they provide after checkout. Would definitely stay there again!

Booked a room as a last minute, quick get away. Room was clean, staff was extremely professional, polite, and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again. Private pool and beach access were added bonus. Highly recommend. Bed, bathroom, dorm size fridge, small table and chairs.. conveniant stay. If youre looking for a place to cook your meals or all inclusive kitchen area....this isnt it. This is perfect size to clean up and sleep, relax. Bed was comfortable.. Quick trip or travelling on a budget...this, right here is it.. Great price, easy access to rooms. Great staff. Clean room. Nice pool. Pier right next door, and also a sit down or take out restsurant 50 feet across parking lot. Motel was easy to find, check in was a breeze and it was a great, comfortable place to stay.

My boys and I really enjoyed our stay at Ocean Crest Motel! The lobby staff were very kind and helpful. The room was seriously spotless, I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness. It was cleaner than most air bnb’s we’ve stayed in. We had plenty of towels and blankets. The view from the motel is gorgeous and the beach access was awesome. The pool was also very clean and well taken care of. There is a really delicious restaurant located right next door and the property is just minutes from countless other dining choices. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

This was a quaint little place at Oak Island for a few nights stay. It would have been nice to have had at least queen size beds in the room and maybe some more table space but it was nice for a hotel trying to keep up with the times. The pool area and beach access was wonderful. Check in was pretty easy but be sure to get there before the office closes and write down ir take a picture of your tag (it’s part of the check in process).

The room was cleaned and smelled good/ clean, bed was very comfortable sheets and blankets and pillows all in good shape towels also. This room was more than adequate and very convenient to the beach and the fishing pier next-door. I’m not sure it’s the right term to use, but this is an old school motel that is properly maintained and cleaned. The staff were available and friendly, price was a fair market offering.

Still a great place to stay. I stayed there years ago and this was our first time back. It’s still a great place. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Motel has been remodeled and is comfortable and clean.

Pros: Great location, right next door to the Ocean Crest pier. Cold A/C and Hot water. Con’s, there were roaches in the room, mildew on the walls and mold in the bathroom. Staff was not accommodating and I would rate their hospitality skills at 2. Over priced for what it is. Beware The Beds are Super Extra Firm (Bricks).

Check-in staff were super friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with cozy beds and a mini fridge, and room safe. The hotel is in a great location—just a short walk to the beach, pier, and two nearby restaurants. The area is super quiet at night also, even though the setup would make you think you’d be woken by road noise we weren’t, was able to sleep in both days. Just a heads-up: one of the restaurants has more of a bar vibe and may not be the best choice for families. The hotel had most of the basics, but be aware that they do not provide body wash, shampoo, or conditioner. If you’re someone who usually depends on hotel toiletries, be sure to bring your own. I thought I had packed mine but hadn’t, and I was surprised to find none in the room. My son joked that it’s because it’s a motel, not a hotel—lol! There’s an ice machine on the property, along with a washer and dryer in the same room. Interestingly, there was also a microwave in that area—but not in our room. It would’ve been convenient to have one in the room, especially for quick snacks or to reheat food. Overall, it was a good stay. My favorite part was definitely the short walk to the beach and pier—it made the whole trip feel relaxing and easy.

There is a restaurant next door although I didnt eat there this time. I can't say enough good about this place to do it justice. I wasnt sure what to expect being that it was my first time here but my experience was great and I want to stay here again in the future, I won't even look elsewhere because this was just too perfect and so cozy, comfortable, and clean.

For an older property the rooms were well cleaned and nice, could be a bit more soundproof. Very friendly atmosphere from the office staff and the other guests. Very short walk to the beach, pool was great and area was clean. It was really nice to be able to continue using the parking lot, pool, pier and bathroom they provide after checkout. Would definitely stay there again!

Still a great place to stay. I stayed there years ago and this was our first time back. It’s still a great place. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Motel has been remodeled and is comfortable and clean.

This was the cleanest place I ever stayed. The rooms were basic but there were a lot of small things that showed a lot of thought was put into making it a step above for example the rooms had a safe for valuables. The beds were comfy and the towels were nicer quality than many other places I've stayed. I loved being right on the beach and so close to the fishing pier. This place was so ideal for a relaxing vacation. There was plenty of parking. I constantly saw staff outside working on the grounds. The staff was so friendly and it was pleasant to chat with them. Checkin and out was easy. I will definitely be back here. Loved the close proximity to other islands and beaches but you truly could come here and never leave the parking lot or the island if you wanted to. Booked a room as a last minute, quick get away. Room was clean, staff was extremely professional, polite, and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again. Private pool and beach access were added bonus. Highly recommend. Bed, bathroom, dorm size fridge, small table and chairs.. conveniant stay. If youre looking for a place to cook your meals or all inclusive kitchen area....this isnt it. This is perfect size to clean up and sleep, relax. Bed was comfortable.. Quick trip or travelling on a budget...this, right here is it.. Great price, easy access to rooms. Great staff. Clean room. Nice pool. Pier right next door, and also a sit down or take out restsurant 50 feet across parking lot. Motel was easy to find, check in was a breeze and it was a great, comfortable place to stay.

Pros: Great location, right next door to the Ocean Crest pier. Cold A/C and Hot water. Con’s, there were roaches in the room, mildew on the walls and mold in the bathroom. This was a quaint little place at Oak Island for a few nights stay. It would have been nice to have had at least queen size beds in the room and maybe some more table space but it was nice for a hotel trying to keep up with the times. The pool area and beach access was wonderful. Check in was pretty easy but be sure to get there before the office closes and write down ir take a picture of your tag (it’s part of the check in process).

My boys and I really enjoyed our stay at Ocean Crest Motel! The lobby staff were very kind and helpful. The room was seriously spotless, I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness. It was cleaner than most air bnb’s we’ve stayed in. We had plenty of towels and blankets. The view from the motel is gorgeous and the beach access was awesome. The pool was also very clean and well taken care of. There is a really delicious restaurant located right next door and the property is just minutes from countless other dining choices. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Recently separated and life just felt so heavy so, I decided to take a trip by myself. And, I was so pleasantly surprised by this little motel. I stayed in room 213 and was able to see the ocean and 2 lighthouses at night. I could hear the waves and was a quick little walk down to the sand where I spent most of my time. The dunes were quite high and most of the beach was hard sand because the tide came up quite high. But, the friendly staff helped me fix my newly installed smart TV. To room cooled and kept temperature very very well I was so comfortable that when I got sunburnt I hated how efficient it was. My only downfall because was the microwave was down in the other side of the motel so, I had to do the walk of shame with my chips and queso. But, I loved that it was not a huge touristy town. It was just simply blissful for me. And, walking distance to 2 bars right next door. Just be careful you may be the youngest in the whole bar. I couldn’t be happier.

Check-in staff were super friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with cozy beds and a mini fridge, and room safe. The hotel is in a great location—just a short walk to the beach, pier, and two nearby restaurants. The area is super quiet at night also, even though the setup would make you think you’d be woken by road noise we weren’t, was able to sleep in both days. Just a heads-up: one of the restaurants has more of a bar vibe and may not be the best choice for families. The hotel had most of the basics, but be aware that they do not provide body wash, shampoo, or conditioner. If you’re someone who usually depends on hotel toiletries, be sure to bring your own. I thought I had packed mine but hadn’t, and I was surprised to find none in the room. My son joked that it’s because it’s a motel, not a hotel—lol! There’s an ice machine on the property, along with a washer and dryer in the same room. Interestingly, there was also a microwave in that area—but not in our room. It would’ve been convenient to have one in the room, especially for quick snacks or to reheat food. Overall, it was a good stay. My favorite part was definitely the short walk to the beach and pier—it made the whole trip feel relaxing and easy.

Comfortable and solid room, 2 second walk from to and from the beach and deep pool, communal room was a little far, no microwaves in room but includeds fridge and coffee machine, sugar and creamer in office. Sheets were a little uncomfortable and we couldn't figure out why the floor was always damp but I believe it was the room humidifier turned up to much

The Ocean Crest Motel was a great stay for my wife and I. They had a great beach access, right now to the pier. The staff was helpful though put the weekend. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautifully kept motel! The property was right on the beach. Pier and wonderful restaurant beside of it. The grounds were well maintained. Our room was spotless! Will definitely stay here again and recommend to everyone!
Beautifully kept motel! The property was right on the beach. Pier and wonderful restaurant beside of it. The grounds were well maintained. Our room was spotless! Will definitely stay here again and recommend to everyone!

Room was clean no type of rug to wipe the sand off your feet when getting in bed. So we used towels. Only other big thing is the mattress on both beds are terrible you could hear the springs popping very uncomfortable. But love the location and the room is clean.

Excellent location that can't be beat. Beds work out well. No amenities like soap and shampoo and towels can be improved.
