They lied for the entire staying! The accommodation's description: "garden view" but all the rooms apart the one with sea view are in total darkness. Even in the day you need the lights on to see! No windows and a constant smell of mold! The room is infested with ants. There are creatures scratching the ceiling. There was never running water and we were given a dirty old bucket to use to wash ourselves and to flush the toilet. Electricity is most of the time unavailable due to constant power cuts but they refuses to turn on the generator because it is too expensive. No hot water. We were told to keep the boiler turned off because it was too expensive. No internet, no air conditioner, no fans since they refuse to turn on the generator. No toiletries, although it states that they will be available. It is a hazard to walk in your room or in the building because there are no emergency lights when the power is off. Practically all they provide is a roof and a bed! We complained every day about every point stated and the answer was always the same: tomorrow it will be resolved. The locals and taxi drivers know the property very well and they say that it's always this way and that all guests complain about the same things. They take advantage of the tourists. While there two couples left straight away and the rest were complaining about the situation every day. I asked about having a compensation due to the continuos issues and he just laughed!

Rooms had no towels or drinking water when we arrived at this local Swahili-style accommodation. When given bathroom towels we were told to use the same towels for the beach. That night we kindly enquired if they would prepare a whole fish for us if we were to buy from the beach and we were rudely told no. Same rudeness again the next morning when I asked them to cut a fresh pineapple at breakfast. If this is their policy, no problem, but no need to speak badly. We packed our bags at midday and left (even though we had paid for two nights), however not immediately as the reception who had our key was not there. We called the manager, who apologised, but did not respond to my request to refund one night. The feeling at this hotel was very bad, and the facility desperately needs attention. We found a hotel of exceptional standard for $5 more along the beach, and saw another couple staying who did exactly the same as us

The beach access was unreal. Highly recommend this place for the beach access, beach lounges and room size. Breakfast is small though and electricity is not guaranteed :)

A budget-friendly, no-frills place located right by the beach. The building is quite run-down, so keep your expectations low. However, the location is excellent, just steps from the water, with sunbeds available. The staff speak only limited English.
