Room was clean and staff was fantastic. Nice Gym. We will book again in future.

My daughters and I stayed here for one night after being without power for 4 days. We just wanted a night of normality and, thankfully, our power returned the next day. The room was larger than expected which was great so I could get some good sleep and my daughter could catch up with online friends without disturbing each other. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The hotel shows some wear and we had to take the stairs to get to our room but that didn’t bother us. We felt safe and the hotel provided everything we needed.

Friendly staff, knew we had lots of stuff gave us a room on ground floor without asking!

Doesnt have an elevator, and charges your card more than what the room cost

First, the good; the hotel is conveniently located with lots of parking, a large police presence, and a ton of great restaurants/areas to hike. The bad however far outweighs all of that. Upon arriving to the hotel, staff somehow did not realize we had booked a reservation and spent about a half hour on the computer trying to figure out who we are and how long we booked. Not a huge deal - it happens. After we finally got to our room we found mysterious stains on literally every linen item, and all the furniture. When we requested new linens, we got them but were told they are all stained with various fluids and our best bet would be to take the darker colored linens. Not acceptable. When I inspected the bathroom - with much scrutiny at this point mind you, I found black mold on the ceiling, in the shower, and a large crack in the floor of the shower that somehow had just glued a flat piece of vinyl over- poorly I might add. The TV was ancient, it barely worked, the ac unit was also about ten years past its service life, and of the five lights in the room, only two worked. The “continental breakfast” consisted of powdered coffee, microwave eggs and sausage that both had a distinct and ignominious taste of fish, and the milk for the cereal was definitely sour. All in all I will absolutely never stay at this hotel again. With all the available options charging literally the same price or slightly more, I’ll be staying somewhere else next time I come to Roanoke.

Building is VERY old and worn. NO ELEVATOR FOR UPPER FLOOR. Carpet is threadbare and raveling in places. Continental breakfast was ok but nothing special. They ran out of sugar for coffee and could not go get some. Told me that Sams Club was out, REALLY? There are no great motel options in the Tanglewood area so good luck. Oh, and stay away from McAdoos restaurant!

Why I chose this hotel? I was looking for a hotel that was close to major highways and a room with a sitting area. This is an older hotel. No elevator. The staff was friendly and accommodating to our needs of having a room on the first floor. The complementary breakfast fit our needs. Coffee, tea, juices, eggs, sausages, different breads, waffles, yogurts, cereals, pastries, bananas. The room had been repainted nicely, was clean and comfy. The sitting area was in a separate room from the bedroom. There was a musty odor in the room at first, which was gone eventually when we turned on the AC. The beds were comfy. The windows had blackout shades. I would stay there again and I think this hotel deserves a bit better rating than just the 2 solid stars.

We chose this hotel as a one night stop and are glad that we weren’t there any longer. The hallways smelled awful and the lighting dark and dingy. The carpeting stained and torn. The room was still dirty in many areas. The double beds, although they looked in good condition with new sheets, had hairs in them the moment I pulled the sheets back! The area by the mini fridge had visible crumbs and dust. The pull out bed sheets were horrific, tattered, torn and stained with gross orangey red stuff. It was an inexpensive stay and we weren’t expecting anything fancy but we were expecting cleanliness. Ew.

We got bed bugs. I would suggest you stay at the holiday inn across the road instead.

The bed was very uncomfortable. There were roaches in the room. I was unable to shower because the knob fell off when I tried to turn it on. I told the front desk about the shower but they did not seem very concerned. Definitely will not stay at a Sleep Inn ever again.

The front desk staff wasn't friendly or made you feel welcome However the manager was exceptional warm curious and very friendly The hotel had a foul smell thoughout the whole place The carpet was old and smelled The first room the assign me in was horrible the wall socket was hanging, the ironing board was broken and the bathroom door didn't work properly my wife got stuck inside the bathroom The second room i was assigned also smelling foul and at night my wife notice an army full of ants over the bathroom sinks I complained several times to the front desk staff which she showed no concern her replay was { we have a ant issue going on and gave me a can of ant killer and said you can return it in the morning) this place was the worse hotel I have ever stayed at and on Monday morning I will be filing a complaint against the hotel Glenn Reid greid66@yahoo.com if you need and further information

Hotel room was dusty upon my arrival, carpet stained and dirty,especially in hallways. I kept seeing little ants here and there on night stand and sink counter top. Breakfast was ok, nothing over the top light right outside of window,tho i had both curtains closed light still filtered a bit through edges.

The room smelled bad when we got there, the beds were clean but the rest was dirty, the furniture had a lot of dust. They were little roaches everywhere.

The property has a great location and decent breakfast but that is where the positives end. Hallway carpet had numerous stains that looked like they have never been attempted to clean. My room had a couch with numerous stains and an ant problem that was more than annoying. The property has a lot of potential if the owners want to spend a little money. Obviously that is not their goal.

Bleached smell soooooo bad -I had to go front desk for air freshner can whick was handed immediately like right on their counter! "Expected folks to ask for".

I LOVE THE SET UP OF THESE SUITES. WITH 2 BATHROOMS !!! FANTASTIC

The hotel is simple but clean, the people who work there are friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the AC isn't working well in the room I stayed in. 218.

This hotel offers a lot of room for a decent price. The air-conditioning was not working in the sitting room part of our suite, which made it uncomfortable. Full disclosure...I did not request to change rooms, so I can not comment on how accommodating they were. All in all, a clean space to spend a couple of nights.

We have stayed at this hotel on 3 separate trips to VA. It's close to our family and is reasonably priced. We like that we get a suite with a living room area and separate bedroom area. Lots of room. Very nice staff.

Best band for your buck! Suite was large and fit the family. Everything is dated but that’s why it’s cheap! Plenty of restaurants and stores in the immediate area!

Suite is two rooms, couch, two beds and two toilets! Great deal!

Have a family of 4 and to have 2 queen beds a pull out couch and 1.5 bath is very convenient. Clean and a great location.

Front desk attendant (overnight) had a nasty attitude, was very rude and impatient, unprofessional, carpets in the motel was very dirty, has a cigarette smell the minute you walk in, unsafe and felt unwelcomed. Left the 1st night and lost my money

Front staffs are very good to me. Thank you so much!! but cleaning staffs are very unkind they are flat out rude !!!excep one lady from cleaning staffs speaks to my welcome me everytime she sees me

I did not know there was an animal fee as this website just states "pet friendly" so we stayed with our two small dogs. I received a phone call on the second day stating we needed to pay the 80$ for the dogs which we had no problem doing once we got back to the hotel. Once we arrived to the hotel we found that we were locked out of our room with all our belongings inside because we hadn't paid this fee that we weren't even aware of . This management group is ridiculous and has no tact. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. We were there to collect a dead family members ashes and these low life's made the experience even worse. They were so unprofessional and disgusting.

Affordable and close to many shopping and dining options.

Very good breakfast and clean nice suite. We were there for Hospital appointments and the hotel is only a few minutes away from Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital

We love this place. My husband and I are new to Virginia and house hunting and have stayed in about 5 hotels. This is our favorite and we decided to stick with it. The staff is awesome, the rooms are clean and comfortable,the are has a lot to offer and the breakfast is always good.

staff was very friendly and helpful. building is older so it looks well worn and has some musty odor, but looks adequately cleaned. maid service daily was nice. For the price it was just fine. In a nice location with shopping mall and numerous places to eat very close by.

Accomadating us with a convenient room traveling with our dog. Walking distance to restaurant with outdoor seating so dog could be with us!

The property was fine for a single night stay, but could use improvement. The staff was excellent but the common areas and hallways has water damaged ceilings at various points. The room was mostly nice, but had small issues like stains on the sheets and a plastic bag covering one of the recessed lights. Additional, he breakfast was leaking and many items tasted off andy wife and I felt ill in the afternoon from the food. Another guest commented that there were ants coming out of the coffee machine. With some improvements this property could be a 5 star experience, but as it currently is 3 stars is generous.

Hassle-free customer service, nice breakfast, close to everything - Chuck E. Cheese right next door! The room was spacious, and the hot breakfast was good. Breakfast was served right up until the end with plenty of food. No scraps at the end. A big snow storm had rolled in at the time and it was very nice to know you had a hot meal ready. The children also loved the room (great big soundproof room). Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. We were snowed in for 2 days. Staff was friendly. We have since made another booking and somehow the dates were wrong when we booked. The property gave us no trouble with the refund. We will definitely be staying there again soon. The pictures online look a little fancier than reality, but it was still a good time.

Staff taking care of the breakfast items did not maintain the area. Tables were not cleaned after being used and supply of items was not replaced. Saw that the people getting breakfast as we were eating had limited or no items available.

It was so cool...the door to the outside didnt even lock so any one could just walk it. I was so happy i looked at a blood stain on my pillow. The coolest feature about my desk was the partical board blowing out on it. I think the best thing overall was the breakfast...the non ripe bananas were my favorite part of breakfast
