Had to get a ground floor room because the elevator was not working. I have mobility issues No real television options with out paying extra. Air conditioner was very good

Power was out. Couldnt check in

Property was nicely redone and clean but inadequately stocked for someone to take advantage of amenities. Gym didn’t have any weight training pnly aerobic. Nothing in kitchen provided worked. No laundry detergent on premises. No adequate supply of standard hotel toiletries.

Overall an ok stay. Everything was clean. However, the card readers on the door are old and tricky. The remote wasn’t in our room and we were offered one from another room. It didn’t work with our TV. The only vending machines in the building weren’t working. The shower sounded like a plane engine when running. The trash receptacles outside were overflowing. The breakfast started very early and ends early on a Sunday. Overall could use some work.

Apparently, 5 times is a charm. Came here for one night. Checked in to room 118. Shower hadnt been cleaned. I'm bald and there was a hair in it. Changed rooms 4 more times. 2nd room had a clean shower and 3 remotes, NONE of which operated the TV. 3rd room, no remote. 4th room, no remote, broken TV. The last room had a working TV and remote, clean shower. . .I had challenges with the heater, but it was after midnight, and I was exhausted. Andre at the front desk was patient and kept changing rooms for me until we got one. Location is 6 minutes from my destination, but my evening was FAR from convenient. Vending machines are modern and have a variety of choices for snacks and drinks.

The place is newly renovated so the rooms are quite nice.

Property is under construction so the elevator is never clean but the hallways are good. Staff is slow with customer service. Housekeeping knocks on the door before check out time and even when it’s extended. Management really needs to get everyone on the same communication path.

Building was under renovation, which was not communicated at time of reservation.

I was reluctant to book a room here because of a few bad reviews, but I took a chance anyway. What I found was a well-maintained and comfortable environment. From check-in to checkout everything went as smoothly as it could have. It’s not a five star facility, but I got way more than I expected for the price I paid. The onsite self-service laundry facility is excellent and I was surprised to see a workout area as well. The staff are responsive and friendly. They even provided a coffee mug for me to use for my stay. I also appreciate the small kitchen included within the room. If you’re looking for a no-frills, but clean and comfortable place to stay close enough to Old Town Alexandria without paying hundreds of dollars, this is a great option. Bravo!

This is terrible stay they didn't change anything like Gym closed and no towers no cleaning the only good thing was kind staff at the front

I killed a spider in the tub as soon as i got there. And I understand that happens. Countertops were stinky. No ammenties in room, coffee, maker, or cups, ice, bowls...etc. Breakfast wasnt breakfast. Its packaged oatmeal and packaged muffins. Coffee wasnt ready at 9 AM and only flavored creamer without any plain creamer packets or cups. Bed was comfrtable though. Halls are smelly, its the carpet. Chnaging hotels for tonight.

Property had a distinct smell throughout. Floors throughout had not been swept or mopped in quite a while. Carpet stains. In our room there were broken kitchen cabinets, security lock on the door broken, floors had crumbs, chips, and miscellaneous debris. Breakfast was less than expected. Service at the desk was uninspired and lacked a general need to be welcoming or anticipate guest needs.

The room is clean

There was a used towel left in the bathroom. There was several hairs on the counters.

This is an older property in need of updating. My room wasn’t clean, including the toilet (ugh). When I arrived, I waited at the front desk for nearly 10 minutes until the clerk appeared. Not a great experience overall.

The hallways and elevator at this property were unclean and smelly. The floors were very sticky and when there was a spill in the elevator, it was not cleaned up for a long time (even after I let the janitorial staff know about the spill).

When I got out of my car there was a used condom in the space beside mine. The lobby was dirty and stank. When I got to my room it was filthy. When I called to see if someone would clean it no one answered, two calls. My son and I left immediatly and got a room elsewhere.

The room was in bad condition, stains on the floor and water on sink and shower would drain slowly.

A key criterion for choosing my hotel in D.C. was that it provide breakfast. Extended Stay claimed to do so. What was provided does not meet a reasonable standard for "breakfast." There was coffee, hot water, five very little and unappealing muffins, and some packets of plain raw oatmeal. One could add hot water to the oatmeal, as I did, and use a plastic spoon that I had brought along in my bags, to dine on hot wet oatmeal flakes, better than nothing, but it was not really breakfast. There was no milk, no fruit, no eggs, no bread, no waffles, no juice, nor cereal (except for the oatmeal packets). It's deceptive for them to say they serve breakfast. The room was old. There was a kitchen area with a stove, but pots, pans, cutlery, utensils, or plates, o it was just wasted space. There was a refrigerator, but a very noisy one that I had to turn off to sleep.

Between the metro train going by every 15 minutes or the freight trains that went by three times during the night, there was very little chance to sleep. On top of that there was a party going on in the back parking lot out of a camper van that was playing vulgar music at a high decibel level. Ironically, it did not drown out the person in the hallway, talking on the phone until 2 o’clock in the morning given these things that occurred, and management, inability, or lack of drive to correct these things I would not recommend ever staying at this place. The management and operations of this establishment should make you question everything about this place. They don’t know how to control their guests, their property, or even the check-in process, which was interrupted by several other people trying to get rooms that did not exist. I stayed here because it was convenient for me to sleep that night during a bicycling event, and I did not want to spend a lot of money during the Marine Corps marathon weekend. I now regret that decision not to spend a little bit more money, and I will never do that kind of decision again based upon this horrible experience of a subpar hotel, and impotent staff, and a terrible location for someone who is looking for a good nights sleep. Your site should wipe this hotel office list and not recommended to your customers.

Could hear people struggling with them at all times of the day or night. The tub and shower walls were spray painted so to say the rooms were renovated is not true. Heating/cooling unit extremely loud. Breakfast was minimal and not worth the space. Had to ask if they could resupply it. He brought out 3 mini muffins. If you need anything in your kitchen be sure to let them know what you will need. It will be completely empty otherwise.

Nice sizable rooms and baths with kitchenettes

we were in the older part of the hotel. The renovated rooms were not available to us.

The room I was given didn't have a functional phone or TV. When I brought this to the attention of the desk clerk, he managed to fix the TV (it hadn't been hooked up), and he told me they could get someone to fix the phone in a few days (after I checked out). The TV stopped working again my last night there, and the phone never did work. There was also a used band-aid that sat in the hall outside for three days. Add on top of that the loud music from outside at 1AM and I would recommend the extra few bucks a night for another hotel nearby.

Refrigerator made a loud humming noise that kept me up all night

From the moment I went to check in I had to wait 30 mins for someone to come to front counter. The smell on the floor was horrible.

I’ve stayed in plenty of extended stays and they had an actual breakfast provided (I.e. eggs, bacon, sausages, waffles etc.) not just the continental breakfast. These places are to be as if we are at a bed and breakfast like a home away from home. Yes, there is a fridge and kitchenette but, there weren’t any utensils already provided. The basics should already be in the room such as pots and pans and forks, spoons, and knife set. The staff was short staffed so calling for help was not an available to get help with just about anything. This was a waste of money and should have been better given this is close to DC and people may be departing for a flight at any point in time.

My door key card had to be re-coded every day, the only constant thing I noticed was a sign on the front desk saying WE WILL BE RIGHT BACK. I came in when the entry door was locked, I stood outside for 30 minutes before a customer opened the door, and finally about 5 minutes of waiting, the desk clerk came in as if just waking up, he re-coded my door key. As for the Free Breakfast, "fuget about it" your choice of mini blueberry muffins or oatmeal everyday. Oh yeah, no maid service for the 10 days

Staff is getting better with customer service. More helpful and friendlier.

Great experience. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating. The location is very convenient with ease of access to a lot of stores. Shout out Eric for helping us out in a pinch!

When I arrived, there was no one at the desk 20 minutes later a gentleman came through the front door with a backpack, and went behind the counter and started working. I inquired where the other guy was or whoever was supposed to be there when I got there 20 minutes ago, but he ignored me. When I finally got my room, there were no pillows in my room. So I had to go back down and wait for him to go get pillows from some unknown spot that took 10 minutes. Electrical outlets had no cover on them. The only good thing I have to say is the gentleman at the front desk was very nice.

Showed up late (late flight coming in) and there was no one at the desk. No waiting area, no bathroom. I called the desk number to reach someone, who then showed. He was friendly enough if a bit slow. I asked if I could have a late checkout, he said sure, how long? I said noon, he said no problem and waived me off to the room. At 11:10am while on a call I get an angry rap at my door demanding me to leave now, that they had no record of me staying late and would have to charge me for another night. I cancelled my call and got my things together in a rush and left.

I love a lot about my stay here at Eisenhower ESA. Great friendly staff and management, convenient location, comfortable room, beds nice size TV (55”), close to shopping and metro and even the MVA.

Clean quiet and convenient to dining and shops

Convenient location close to downtown DC and downtown Alexandria. Also lots of dining and movie theater is less than 20 minutes away driving.

Love the quiet and seclude location easy to get to downtown DC a plus.

A good 1/2 hour walk to the PTO. Breakfast is gone by 8:45. Get up early

Bad check in experience. Bad location. Hotel is between a freeway and train tracks. Room had burn marks in carpet, and needed multiple repairs

I have stayed here a couple of times and the staff is helpful. I noticed one staff member named Eric. He is alwats courteous, very helpful, professional and knowledgeable. His kind smile and temperament is calming. You have to drive to food. The metro to downtown is a good walk or bus away.

This location isn't super walkable. train station is about a mile away as is groceries.

Nicely-run by a patient staff that cares about the details. Safe, quiet location. Walkable access to the free 32 shuttle that connects to shopping, dining, and Old Town Alexandria/Metro DC. Daily grab-and-go Breakfast is a plus.

It was ok, if you're doing a short stay. There was no warm breakfast, just muffins, cereal bars and coffee. The staff was very helpful. The property was a bit dated. No extras like soap was provided, so bring your own. Excellent location to catch the free Dash bus to the Metrorail station.

While, the staff does a great job and tries, sometimes they come off a little cold. Overall, it wasn’t the worst place I’ve ever stayed, but it definitely was not the best place I have stayed it does the job if you need a place to lay your head at night and take a shower in the morning but that’s really about it, the breakfast is not even a breakfast, Muffins and hot water for tea and oatmeal pouches kind of old school compared to some of the other, even worse places that I’ve stayed.

It seemed they could use more staff. I only saw the reception person doing everything. The grab and go breakfast was slim. Maybe call it coffee and muffin service. It’s not breakfast.

There was major noise like a drill on and off. I think it had something to do with neighbors running hot water. The breakfast buffet was a joke. It was prepackaged muffins, packets of out meal and granola bars. On the good side the bed was comfortable and the shower had plenty of hot water.

No breakfast available for two days straight.

Free breakfast is a joke. It is "Grab & Go". No area to sit in. It was coffee in the lobby with Chewy bars. I booked a suite with a kitchen and there were no silverware, plates, cups, coffee maker, etc. in the room. Apparently those needed to be requested and would get delivery by hotel staff. I grabbed a coffee maker at the front desk and it was broken. Would not recommend!

Free breakfast is advertised but it was only packaged muffins and bad coffee.
