Great washer and dryer but only 1 each for the property. Had a minor booking issue that I apologized for but the front desk lady had an attitude and should learn some customer service skills especially when the tenant is spending so much money there.

Hotel area was overall clean. Grass for the dog was plentiful. Key cards would deactivate for some reason; for touching phone or a credit card according to front desk. Shower curtain smelled bad. Room was fine. Did the job.

It’s a basic hotel with an elevator. The hotel charges a $2 something extra, at checkin. Not sure what for. But I just paid it and moved on. The coffee maker did not work.

This property is conveniently located near an older part of Alexandria. To get to "Old Town" you\'ll need to take a cab or Uber. Nearby there are plenty of restaurants and stores should you need something. The lobby was closed to guests and you had to go to the "late night" check in area which was fine, but it felt like you were going to a pawn store as there was glass between you and the clerk where you had to pass items through a slot. Check in and check out were fine. The room was disappointing, missing many standards that their website advertised including a clock and iron. Apparently Red Roof no longer provides clocks in rooms (according to the front desk). While I didn\'t expect much from this frugal hotel, it disappointed in maintenance. The shower leaked and sprayed water on the ceiling and wall and the halogen lights in the sink area flickered and probably would of given me a headache had I kept it on. The bedding and linens were fine and the internet was fast enough for me to steam TV shows. Other than the sound of the busy road at night, it was quiet enough. In summary: If you\'re staying only one night its good enough but don\'t expect the bare minimum because you\'ll leave disappointed. Maintenance and basic amenities are lacking but you\'ll sleep fine for a night.

On first blush, it was fine. But then when I turned in for the night, I could see the ("blood"??) stains on the walls. It looked like a crime scene hadn't been cleaned up. Then there was the hole in the bathroom door that was patched, but painted white instead of the off-white of the rest of the room. Kinda sketchy, but it was an ok stay.

The room interiors were remodeled and the beds were fine. Management gets and F. They are severally under staff in house keeping. The wood floor in the units were dirty. White socks got dirty the first time I walked from the bed to the bathroom. No new toiletries. Used toiletries left behind from the previous occupants. The property grounds, parking lot, elevator, 2nd & 3rd floor balcony areas etc. all had trash that was there the entire 3 day/ 2 night stay. We didn't get towels until 10 PM at night and only after asking 4 times and going to pick them up. Door key cards didn't work. Had to keep making trips to the front desk every time we left the room. Management is very poor.

Most Red Roof Inns are pretty bare bones and “dives” and while this one did have a fridge and a microwave, it fell in line with the typical Red Roof Inn experience. While the rooms were non-smoking and signs were up to smoke at least 25 feet from the building. There were a number of people smoking right outside their doors and the overall stench outside was a mixture of smoke, trash, and urine. The elevator was equally foul in smell. Our room was pleasant compared to the outside but did have a hint of mildew. The AC was on constantly and loud but drowned out outside noise. The room was cooler than the 90 degree outside but the humidity level was quite high in the room and the room temperature felt warm despite constant AC. The AC control knob was broken and there was no way to make it turn to a different setting. The TV remotes didn’t work and it took a while to find the power button on the back of the TV. The three days we were there, we never received any room cleaning. Ice machine wasn’t working but finally did with half way into the stay. Overall, it was workable but definitely not a place I would highly recommend. Serves the purpose in a pinch but not a place I would want to spend a lot of time at.

I can’t speak for the entire property as I haven’t physically gone room by room to see the conditions. As for my room, disgusting. I booked here after canceling a previous reservation due to my school paying for my stay. However, for 1 night my family and I needed a place until I could check in to my actual destination. Due to booking so close this place came up and was affordable if you will. Upon arrival they tell you no smoking in the rooms. Soon as we walked in the room reeked of cigarette smoke. The sheets were stained. There was absolutely no way my 1 yr old was sleeping there. We walked in and I immediately grabbed my phone to see who had a room available to accommodate us for the night. In under 25 mins we were checked in and checked out. Never again!!!

Disgusting and dingy! I am actually surprised this hotel gets good ratings! The room I was in you can tell was not cleaned properly. The pillows were beige in color (not white) and bedbug infested! I did not even sleep in the bed! This night was a nightmare, i requested a refund for my early check out. Beware! Attached is a dead bedbug i found in the room and i have a video of a live one on the bed right next to where I initially was laying ugh! Spend a little extra and go somewhere else you can be comfortable!

Room was not clean. There was debris on the bed and on the floor and in the corners of the room, all suggesting evidence of rodents. Luckily we are only here on night and it would be a headache to go somewhere else. But had a hard time sleeping knowing that. Between the state of the room and the noise outside the room (busy parking lot with lots of activity, talking and noise into the morning) I hardly got any sleep at all. The microwave also doesn’t work properly. The two employees we interacted with at the front deck were helpful and kind.

Not a bad room-flat screen TV, fridge, microwave, decent bed, however the walls are paper thin. I should've known something was up with this location when the front desk clerk was enclosed behind glass. We returned from our concert about midnight, only to be rudely awakened at 4:00am by our neighbors screaming at the top of their lungs and throwing furniture! I tried taking care of the situation myself to no avail as the screaming continued. Next I called the front desk to report the neighbors, where the person said 'huh' and I'l try to call them. I could tell he really couldn't be bothered. Screaming and furniture throwing continued for what seemed like forever. This Red Roof is definitely NOT what I'd call a 'Plus'-no breakfast either. STAY AWAY FROM THIS RED ROOF.

The room was in pretty good shape for the age of the hotel. My television didn't work and only one key card worked. I went to the front desk and discovered that several other guests were having a key card issue. I had both key cards rekeyed and let the associate know that my television didn't work. He said he would send someone up to fix it. That never happened. I spent 2 nights without the 35 HD Channels that were promised. When I checked out, the clerk said there was no adjustment she could make since I booked through Hotels.com.

1) Expedia listed one price, but charged me $20 more. Upon arrival I was charged extra $3.18 as a security deposit ( was returned). 2) checkin behind bullet proof glass- got me thinking about the neighborhood. 3) neighbors next doors : drunk, noisy, smoking weed people. Constantly walking in/out the rooms, knocking wrong doors. 4) clean bedsheets, but yellowish pillows, towels falling apart. 5) very loud AC. 6)bed is a step away from the door - you can hear everything . 7) besides that: the room was clean and non-smoking.

The staff working were excellent! When our room key stopped working they were quick to reprogram it. The microwave in our room wasn’t running properly and they had a new one for us within five minutes.

This is our go to hotel when we visit the Washington DC area. It is conveniently located by the Metro station that is a very easy ride into the city. Just park your car at the station ($4.95 if you are a Metro rider), purchase a pass or individual fare and you are off. The hotel has a great helpful staff. Coffee is provided. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. There are numerous fast food and chain restaurants located within a few minutes drive and even a Costco for gas and other purchases. Highly recommend this hotel.

Seriously underated by other reviews I've read. Great budget hotel for the price. Room was clean, bed was comfy and area around the hotel was quiet and felt safe. Front desk was super nice. I had an appointment the day of my checkout and they let me leave my bags in the office untill after my appointment.

This property worked well for us. Although the room was right spartan, it was clean, quiet, and safe. there was no service unless we asked for it, and the room was not cleaned during our 4 night stay. It is a 5 minute walk from a bus stop and 4 stops from the Huntington Metro station. There is a sub shop across the street that had tasty food.

it served its purpose. It's a budget hotel/motel. very convenient to the highway. Very convenient to DC and the metro. I did not realize until a few days in, it's a short walk to the metro so make sure you ask when you check in that information. (Which I did not until later). The workers are all very friendly. It's definitely basic nothing fancy. My only complaints were really flat pillows and a couple stragglers walking around. But I guess there's no way to avoid that. Overall it was a good trip

A budget motel which could use updating, but all of the other reviews tell you that. If you are staying here, you are most likely touring DC, so here's what you need to know. It is 0.9 miles to Huntington metro station. I'm a senior woman with bad hip -Took me about 20 minutes to walk. Area is residential with some luxury condos; I felt safe walking by myself even at night. I stayed for a week and never moved my car. Parking is FREE. Huge benefit! Next door is Taj of India - excellent food! In plaza on the way to subway is Dos Jefes Tex Mex - also excellent food. Pillows are very thin. Towels are scratchy from a zillion washings. Room could have been cleaner. Toilet only flushed at random times. Hot water was plentiful even with a full house. TV, microwave, and fridge all worked as they should. Drapes are total blackout. You can sleep as late as you want. The motel was booked full for most of my stay - I never heard a sound from any guests! Front desk staff was friendly. Would I stay here again? Absolutely, because...FREE PARKING and easy Metro access!!!

This property is conveniently located near an older part of Alexandria. To get to "Old Town" you\'ll need to take a cab or Uber. Nearby there are plenty of restaurants and stores should you need something. The lobby was closed to guests and you had to go to the "late night" check in area which was fine, but it felt like you were going to a pawn store as there was glass between you and the clerk where you had to pass items through a slot. Check in and check out were fine. The room was disappointing, missing many standards that their website advertised including a clock and iron. Apparently Red Roof no longer provides clocks in rooms (according to the front desk). While I didn\'t expect much from this frugal hotel, it disappointed in maintenance. The shower leaked and sprayed water on the ceiling and wall and the halogen lights in the sink area flickered and probably would of given me a headache had I kept it on. The bedding and linens were fine and the internet was fast enough for me to steam TV shows. Other than the sound of the busy road at night, it was quiet enough. In summary: If you\'re staying only one night its good enough but don\'t expect the bare minimum because you\'ll leave disappointed. Maintenance and basic amenities are lacking but you\'ll sleep fine for a night.

Not a lot of foot traffic and we felt safe. Plenty of near by places to eat as as well as exploring. The only thing I will note is me and my friends had two rooms and our toilet took forever to wanna flush and theirs wouldn’t flush at all. For the price, it was a good stay.

For the price, I liked it. If you don’t have a car, there much in easy walking distance for most people. Not overly dirty, but there were some long black hairs left in the bathroom. And a pin needle on the floor. Coffee in the room was the worst ever. The one in the lobby wasn’t much better. I wouldn’t choose to come here again.

Probably one of the worst hotel stays, the people next door to me were literally outside the door smoking all night, no kind of security was enforced, in addition my room had black mold as well, won’t be returning that’s for sure.

Checked in on a Friday and checked out Sunday. Was locked out the room Saturday because they only made the rooms keys work for 1 night. Had to go get new ones. No smoking signs everywhere, but people are smoking on the balcony. Laundry room with the drink machine and ice was locked, card reader didn’t work at all. The wall air conditioner takes forever to cool the room down. Bed spread had stains on them. We found 5, yes 5, old eye lashes laying around. 3 on the ground, 1 on a nightstand, and 1 near the sink. Toilet takes a long time to flush, even without using it. Just hitting it seemed like it was struggling to get the water down. Shower head did not move one bit. Parking was fine. Overall it’s a place to stay if your in need of a room for a night to have a roof over your head, but I’d never stay here personally.
