Originally booked a 5 night stays but cancelled the rest of my stay upon arrival. Hotel was dirty and rundown. Front window of lobby door broken out. The pool was green and shut down. My room was dirty and the carpet looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years.

Bad sign when you arrive at the property to find it encircled with a probably 8 foot wrought iron fence. There were homeless people in the parking lot, as well as skateboarders. When I initially opened the room door to start unloading my car, homeless people were in both the backseat and in the trunk looking at things. The room did not smell fresh and for lighting only had a single, what looked like a ceiling fixture, mounted on the wall. No way was I going to stay there for planned 3 nights, as well as it is very noisy being situated along the probably 10 lane Black Canyon expressway.

Poor signage made it difficult to navigate and find our room. Construction staff were talking loudly outside our window past 9:30pm making it difficult to sleep. Room smelled like cigarettes.

The property is in severe disrepair. There are construction trailers in the parking lot, so they may be trying to get some maintenance done. This made parking more difficult. Upon arrival, the clerk was friendly, but the stairwells were covered in grafitti. The doors and windows to the office were broken and taped. The room was dingy, walls were dirty, the furnishings were smelly, and the bathroom was infested with cockroaches. I describe "infested" since there were multiple roaches each day and at all hours.

The listing stated tv and wifi. That's a lie. The internet was disconnected in the room. I arrived at the property and was told early check in was $10 but the "internet was down" so they could not check my reservation. The pool was boarded up and there were red stains all over the tub. My daughter thought it was blood but I think it was rust. There were drug addicts sleeping in the stairwell. I'm a single mother who relies on these property descriptions to be accurate. I knew the area was rough but this hotel is not family friendly. I stayed one night. I debated staying a 2nd night but the rate was 95 total for no tv and no internet. I chose to sleep in my car until I could find a more appropriate location for my family. Do not stay here. I really would not recommend it and can't believe Motel 6 allows this under their name. Really disappointed.

When we pulled off the freeway there was a run down motel with no signage, my husband and I looked at eachother and said we hope thats not it. Well it was. As I am checking in one of the employees said is this a renovated room? And the gal checking me in said yes. We walk into the room and it reeked of paint. Whoever "renovated" this room needs to give the motel back there money. There was paint all over the baseboards, the floor on all of the hardware. The curtains had blood on them!!! The bed is really low to the floor. The front door, well you can see the outside from all around it. There is absolutely no sound barrier from outside. So don't think you are going to get any sleep with the cops going by and the cars reving up all night long. I can swear the trash truck came at 3 am, it was so loud. The uber driver said to us i would be surprised if your car will still be there in the am. Then at 9 am the housekeeper was trying to get in the room to clean, umm trying to get ready to vacate.

The overall cleanliness of the room was really dirty. The room smelled like mildew. The sheets were not cleaned and the mattress was stained in multiple areas. The window curtain was dirty and the curtain appeared to have blood stains. The bath tub had dark stains on the tub floor. Some of the internal walls had dry wall that was coming apart. The other motel occupants were shouting outside in the parking lot and I was afraid for the safety of others and myself. Overall, I would not stay here again. I would not recommend anyone to stay at this motel. I have photographs of my observations of the room.

Room was dirty and smelly. Bathroom tub was dirty even had mold around floor. Carpet was filthy. Missing light bulbs on lamps. Homeless people walking around parking lot. Door was broken at the bottom right. Bed were smelly. Ended checking out 10 min after I check in. Felt unsafe.

Our room was filthy. We are not high maintenance when it comes to hotels. The sheets had black marks. The bathroom looked like it hadn’t been touched in a week for cleaning purposes. They do not have regular housekeeping here. There was no trash can in our room. We also heard a clicking noise for about 30 minutes or so, and were paranoid about going back to sleep. We hoped it was not roaches. This motel is good if you’re looking for a cheap place to sleep and if you don’t prefer where you sleep (cleanliness, felt grimy). We only stayed here because we had an overnight layover at the PHX airport. The area was very sketchy and customer service was not great. The front desk guy was nice and he had an iPad alarm indicating when he would be back from his break. This was around 11 pm at night. It’s worth it to have a cheap place to sleep, but I would rather pay a little more next time to have somewhere cleaner.

Upon check in after I couldn’t cancel I was told the TV hadn’t worked in 3 days and they would try to fix later that day. I got in around 1 am after driving hours so I stayed. There was mold I. The bathroom the tub was so black I couldn’t even use it. Unsanitary I know this is Motel 6 but it was disgustingly and uninhabitable. I called Expedia next morning to cancel rest of stay I had booked 3 days and was told management at hotel refused refund and there was nothing they could do to help. Don’t waste your money not even a decent place to sleep.

Room with a very dirty floor, bed linens stained with what looked like old, dried blood — a very unpleasant place overall. The bathroom was dirty and there were no towels. I suppose I couldn’t expect much for the price, but the stay was very unpleasant.

The shower is terrible you have to hold the shower head and the water runs out of the shower area onto the floor The tv remote doesn’t work properly The room was dirty and smelled like smoke I requested a non smoking room I told the guy at the office and he said that’s it I have never stayed in a hotel this dirty If I had not been so tired I would have found another hotel room

The room we were given was in terrible condition. The toilet would not flush correctly, the Television was mostly static. The worst part was the roach infestation. We saw hundreds of roaches throughout the room and bathroom,. The clean towels had roach feces all over them. Any beverage we left out, had dead roaches in them.

I tried my key card and it didn't work. I went to the office, got a new one, and it didn't work. The third time I had to wait over 45 minutes for someone to get me another one, and all this time I hadn't even been in my room yet. The TV didn't work, and the tub cleanliness was gross. There was plenty of residue from the Clorox used, though, still in the tub. And to top it off, the pool wasn't heated. I will say that the bed and pillows were comfortable, but certainly NOT worth the money I paid for this room.

First off, I checked into Hotel and was told, the TV may or may not work. Also, the internet was not working. I told the clerk if he was making customers or third party booking agents aware of non worling TV or that they will have no internet and that the price of the rooms should be discounted. I went to look at the room and yes, TV wasnt working and the sheets had dog paw prints on the sheets. We went to the front and asled for another room and soemthing on the north side of building and located near the office. The second room was a lot better except the toilet bowl was the best working condition. A lot of people hanging out side near dennys restaurant. I would recommend this place.

This was one of the worst stays I’ve ever had at a hotel. Okay the worst for sure. First the room had no working TV or internet but was listed to have. Then I had to iron my pants. No iron in the room so I went to the front desk. He quickly responded to no irons on the property. When I knew in fact other rooms had irons and it was also listed. The second night I switched room. The TV and internet worked but still no iron or hot water in this room. The laundry room was not accessible all day and the front desk acted like I was inconveniencing him when I’d ask. He would pretend to call someone but I literally heard the busy tone when he was talking to the phone. Then I had a friend in the room when I was trying to extend for a third day and the front desk would not forward my call to the room. Ended up putting my friend and my belongings in an unsafe situation. I called multiple times hoping to get a different employee. However he ended up just picking up then hanging up right away. This was just unreal to me how he can get away with doing this. I feel like they just took my money and once they got it had no care in the world as to what they advertised online and reality. I would not recommend staying here endless they get an employee that actually did more than collect money.

Ended up putting my friend and my belongings in an unsafe situation. I called multiple times hoping to get a different employee. However he ended up just picking up then hanging up right away. This was just unreal to me how he can get away with doing this. I feel like they just took my money and once they got it had no care in the world as to what they advertised online and reality. I would not recommend staying here endless they get an employee that actually did more than collect money.

The room was clean, but not well insulated... You could see daylight through the door. It was a chilly, rainy night. When went in the thermostat was set at 61 and the heater didn't work. Unfortunately, not being familiar with the area we choose a room in not the best part of town, needless to say, these two 70'ish l did not get a lot of rest.

This was a terrible stay. The door didn’t shut, the noise was extremely loud with highway and train keeping us awake much of the night. There was garbage everywhere, bugs in the room, and chaos around with lots of people roaming about. We also didn’t get wifi even though it was supposed to have internet. The sign was torn apart also making it hard to locate, and our room had plastic bags covering the smoke detector, which seems unsafe.

Check in was completely terrible. Room not ready. Came back hour later, room given by young man (that couldn't bother to take his ear buds out while checking in the long line of people) had overwhelming cigarette smoke (have asthmatic in party, so required non-smoking), & no microwave/fridge (we paid extra for). Went back to front desk & , after waiting on the long line again, asked for the right room. Got to room, still smelled of smoke, but not as bad. Checked in 3 people, got 1 towel, 1 hand towel, & 2 wash cloths. Went to front desk, long line again, & told "there's a maid somewhere, find her and ask her"... NEVER saw a maid, ever! 3 people had to share 1 towel for 5 days. Ridiculous! Was very tired, when we got back everyday, to fight front desk anymore for towels. Middle of night, woman knocked on our door countless times for several minutes (probably looking for drugs), & wouldn't leave even after I yelled at her through the door "No, go away!" I had a kid with he & he was frightened by that experience. Air conditioning was good, and beds were comfy. But was horrified by the 1)lack of "customer service" at the front desk, 2) The baby roaches my mother saw in the tub, 3) druggie woman that wouldn't leave, 4) forced to use 1 towel amongst us without any care from employee, 5) remodeling noise & mess everywhere. Weren't told about noise & workers were throwing furniture down from upstairs onto parking lot, almost hit my car, they actually went down & looked at it 😠

I requested and payed for a non smoking room and our room smelled alot like cigaretes and there is a a young male african american enployee who was horrible at his job non courteous, no customer service skills, rude, seemed like he hates his job i witnessed him being rude and confrontational to a customer in front of me and i had a similar experience with him should be employed there.

The staff was horrible. My room had holes kicked in the bathroom door. The atmosphere felt like a trap house. Immediately when I pulled up, I felt so uncomfortable and unsafe. I went into my room for no more than 2 minutes before immediately leaving and going to the front desk and telling them that I felt completely unsafe and that there was no way I was staying there as a single woman. The attendant in the front was accompanied by the “security guard.” The security guard told me immediately that I would need to call Expedia and ask them to refund my room but that they would make me stay at least one night. Then stated, “there are bad places in the world and I just need to understand that.” The Expedia gentleman was very kind and understanding, he asked me to hold while he tried to call the facility to talk. No answer on 3 tries. I asked him to stay on the phone while I went inside to tell him to call Expedia. The gentleman refused and said he never got a call while the phone was right there. I just held the phone up to him so he couldn’t avoid it as he clearly was. He stated his manager “said one night minimum or no refund.” Then said his manager was unavailable for the night. I walked out and told him the “manager” was a security guard and he was clearly avoiding his calls. I said I wouldn’t not stay the one night even if I had to pay. He told me to check out and that he would send my info to a specialty department to review. I felt like they were trapping me to harm me.

I travel a lot. Was overcharged when i arrived and upon trying to ask when I might be able to be reimbursed, was lied straight to and treated as if i was being hostile. At the end of the conversation (in which I had not received a clear answer), I was asked if I was going to continue my stay or check out instead. Seeing as I had never mentioned the latter being at option seemed wildly passive aggressive and wholly unnecessary. I feel the need to expand. My check in and my check out were absolutely fine. Those working seemed competent and polite. Whoever was handling the desk on the second day I was there was the only one I was treated poorly by but it was poor enough to incentivize me not to return.

After I checked in and went to my room, I tried to connect my work laptop to the wifi, but was unable. I went to the front desk and pointed this out, and I was told that the wifi was out. This information was not told to me during check-in, and I feel it should have been disclosed at that time. I told the worker that I booked this location because it advertised free wifi, and I needed it because I was on a business trip. I was offered a refund, but because I booked through Expedia, the worker told me that Expedia needed to initiate the request for a refund by emailing customer service department for La Quinta. After several attempts by Expedia, and 5 days later, La Quinta finally replied to Expedia and denied the request for a refund. La Quinta stood by their policy of no refunds. However, in this case, I feel that I had a very valid reason to request a refund, since they did not have wifi as advertised. With respect to the condition of the room, there was a very stale odor as I walked in. Looking down at the floor, I was able to see small pieces of crumbs and other fine particle debris, a clear indication that the floors were not swept or mopped. The bathroom counter has dried up "something" on the surface, a clear indication that it was not scrubbed or wiped down. The flat part of the base of the toilet where the bolts are located was covered in dried liquid, probably a combination of water and urine, and also had dust and/or dirt particles stuck to the dried liquid.

Property is in a very bad area. We witnessed 2 drug deals as we were checking in. The stairs had urine all over. The hotel run down and dirty. I could not stay there, it was not safe for two women. I immediately got a refund and found a new hotel. Expedia did take care off us and gave me my money back.

Motel was opposite a fire station there was construction going on that woke me up.people outside banging on my door smoking weed and cigarettes.There was no pool.No decent places to eat.No shampoo provide or coffee maker or hairdryer.Noisy surroundings.Did not feel it was safe to walk around outside.

the major thing about this place is the location and having to deal with homeless, tweakers and hookers all day and night. Screaming yelling arguing honking pretty much throughout the entire night made this stay very unpleasant

Bad sign when you arrive at the property to find it encircled with a probably 8 foot wrought iron fence. There were homeless people in the parking lot, as well as skateboarders. When I initially opened the room door to start unloading my car, homeless people were in both the backseat and in the trunk looking at things. The room did not smell fresh and for lighting only had a single, what looked like a ceiling fixture, mounted on the wall. No way was I going to stay there for planned 3 nights, as well as it is very noisy being situated along the probably 10 lane Black Canyon expressway.

The staff were great. And the room was clean but a bit busted up, no bugs or critters.The walls are thin. BUT this is a shady looking hotel, bums, homeless, drug addicts and prostitute were coming in and out of many of the rooms. There was a smell of urine around the corner...I went outside to smoke and two guys came up that looked suspicious, and my date had to make his appearance to make the guys leave. The dennys there sux too.the Starbucks was good, drive thru only.

This place looked like a run down motel - people that looked homeless hanging out, outside. I seen 2 people exchanging drugs as I was pulling into the lobby. The surrounding area was also really sketchy. It looked so bad upon arrival that I ended up cancelling my stay. Do not recommend, there is another La Quinta a few minutes away ina better neighborhood, much cleaner.

Room reeked of cigarettes. Mirror smashed. Cockroaches in the bathroom coming out at night near the beds. Homeless people beating on the door several times. Grey dirt footprints on my room door from vagrants kicking it. Swimming pool on south side of Hotel filled with dirt and topped with rocks. A couple of units being remodeled: plaster, sinks and debris thrown off second floor level into the parking lot - not removed. This is a really bad neighborhood. Even the Denny's Restaurant next door is getting that run down look. This is the worst hotel room I have ever seen. The Staff was nice! I will never stay here or in this area ever again. The Vacation Inn, north across Thomas Ave is now apartments - but the neighborhood is 3rd world. Former La Quinta is now this Motel Six and it is a war zone.

Its a motel only and not at par with la quinta. The rooms ate smelly not clean at all with a dirt in corners. Phone was not working no internet. Very limited option in breakfast. The nearby neighbourhood is scary.

Chose this location as it was close to interstate access. Pluses: Room was clean, bed was comfy, A/C kept the room cool, pool was nice, and other guests kept the noise to a minimum. Hotel was fenced in. Minuses: Wifi was out our entire 4 day stay, free breakfast was minimal (no protein choices). Neighborhood was sketchy.

It was an overall pleasant stay except for TV issues. We had to have maintenance attempt to fix the tv when we checked in. After unsuccessful attempts to repair it he eventually replaced it. The next morning when we turned it on it was not able to receive a signal. Called maintenance again and was told someone would be there. They never showed up before we left an hour later. Breakfast was pastries and drinks. Didn't use coffee maker in room because Starbucks was next door.

I was very disappointed.. when I booked from the picture on the hotel’s website I expected a much nicer hotel. The condition of the hotel was terrible.. broken glass, peeling paint.. dirty entry doors.. they had updated the room inside as far as the picture showed.. but the tub room hadn’t been updated.. no stopper in the tub, black mold on the surround. Telephone didn’t work at all.. told front desk but nothing got done… breakfast first day was fine but second day.. no milk cartons, no yogurt.. very slim pickings 😵💫

Staff not friendly. Had to call twice from the room, they never picked up the phone. Breakfast was so bad, there was not even milk for the only cereal they had for breakfast and you had to prepare your own coffee with water from the faucet. The place looked durty and run down.

This is and was one of the worst stays of anywhere I have ever stayed! I paid for a room with a fridge and microwave which there was none when I asked the front desk they said they don’t no what room had them but they were in fact not an option! Yet I paid for them and was denied any assistance with it. Next the room had absolutely no blankets, no towels, no sheets and the air conditioning unit was broken and only leaked water all over the room. Yet still not moved! And then to top it off, the TV had no remote so we couldn’t change the channels and the front desk and staff there were absolutely no help they were able to the point of disrespectful to where we just ended up leaving and not even staying our second reservation that we had made for the next day

DO NOT recommend this place. Run down looking place. Windows in one room was boarded up and broken glass. Thought I could get past that since it was just an over night stay with the family. Immediately once parked and Lady-man stepped out of a room “modeling” their goods out on the balcony. Had my children look the other way. Got to the room there was blood and drool on the pillow along with shoes marks on the sheets. Floor was dirty. Bathroom was dirty especially sticky around the toilet. Mold and yellow stuff on walls. Loaded up the car and checked out. Not even there 20min.
