Very cool boutique hotel near the Plaka neighborhood in Athens. Our suite was beautiful and well equipped with a small kitchen and an attractive patio. The included breakfast buffet was excellent. Finally, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful throughout our short 2 night stay. Highly recommended.

Great location for shopping, visit to Parthenon, restaurants. Boutique hotel with large rooms, beautiful bathrooms, excellent breakfast. Does not have large common areas or views from rooms, nor significant amenities; food is apparently limited to breakfast. AC system is excellent. Definitely would recommend for those not looking for large hotel with loads of amenities.

The AVA Hotel & Suites is perfectly located in the Plaka neighborhood, within easy walking distance to many historical sites as well as excellent dining option. That staff were all very pleasant and helpful with arranging transportation, recommending restaurants, making reservations, etc. The rooms are well appointed, including bath robes and slippers and an equipped kitchenette. The bed and linens are very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is superb. Customer service is top notch and the rooms are spacious with outdoor space also. My only complaint is we couldn’t stay longer. I plan to be back and this will always be my 1st choice!

Perfect location in center of Plaka between Acropolis, Parthenon and the national garden. Great AC in hotel was welcome in very hot weather. Very nice room had small suite with kitchen, refrigerator. We had the room on first floor which was amazing because it had a private outdoor patio garden off the back of the room. Easy walk to the pedestrian streets for shopping, street cafes, access to metro and Acropolis. Would stay here again. Recommending to friends.

A wonderful apartment type suite. Full kitchen. Extremely close to all of the important sites. When I love most was the staff and their positive attitude and their intense desire to make you happy and make sure that every need was met. Greeting you initially upon entry, remembering your name, recognizing you. You just felt safe because they knew who was coming and going.

The location was perfect. Easy walk to Plaka for dining & shopping, easy walk to Acropolis & museum. Staff were so helpful and arranged transportation for us from port to hotel & from hotel to airport. Rooms were lovely, quiet, spacious & clean. Lovely property. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay in Athens. We stayed 3 nights. Hope to visit and stay at AVA again Room was clean, comfortable, and well decorated. Very close to Acropolis, Plaka, Ermou...etc. Hotel personel really helped us and they were kind. Thanks to Magda, and all our other friends.

I spent a quick two nights at this property after a long week of island hopping. This was the perfect location for a couple of nights to get to know Athens before flying back home. I stayed in the executive suite which was a slight upgrade from the standard suite and I was very comfortable in a one bedroom large enough for us to sort our luggage before our long flight back home. It’s located in the beautiful Plaka neighborhood. From our balcony we could see parts of the Acropolis and also the Arch on each side. It’s close to many shops and tabernas galore every which way that you turn. You can also find several take away street food places a block away where you can find terrific gyro and falafel sandwiches plus beverages for less than $6 a person. The hotel staff themselves were very cordial and helped with arranging taxi transportation and a last minute rooftop restaurant reservation. They don’t seem to have a large staff but what would be expected for a hotel in this price range. It’s very affordable for what you get in return. The room had a kitchenette, good coffee maker and also very comfortable bed linens, King size bed and lots of storage space. The A/C worked well during a heat wave and the two showers were great. I did not have breakfast as it was a little pricey and I prefer to venture out and find nearby cafes whenever possible and this property is perfectly situated to find plenty of options. It was a very nice stay.

We did a two week Mediterranean cruise and then several days in Paris. Our cruise disembarked in Athens so we spent two days there. Our only regret was not spending more days at this hotel rather than Paris! The executive room was huge and luxurious! The staff were so helpful and the location at the foot of the Acropolis around tons of restaurants and shopping on small streets. It was the best part of the vacation!

Great place to stay 5 min to the acropolis and shopping and dinner . They were so helpful on our stay because we had to switch hotels on our last evening due to road closures due to a big biking event. And they were quick to help us find other options. They got us a room at their sister hotel out of the affected area. Also arranged transportation to the new hotel. They went out of there to help us. It saved a lot of stress before our cruise. Would highly recommend this hotel.

We LOVED the AVA! The front desk lady (Caryssa? Apologies if I got the name spelled incorrectly) was patient, had us checked in in a jiffy, and gave us a great recommendation for local, delicious and affordable eats! We also got some mini-wine bottles when checking in!

The hotel was excellent. 11/10 for its location , we do do everything on foot . Great room, good amenities, good staff, good breakfast.

The hotel was excellent. 11/10 for its location , we do do everything on foot . Great room, good amenities, good staff, good breakfast.

The rooms were comfortable, the beds were big by European standards. We loved the location--so close to the historic sites and tons of great restaurants.

The Ava Hotel was perfectly located near the Acropolis, Temple of Zeus, tons of dining options and shopping! All within walking distance. No taxi or public transportation needed.

AVA is a quaint boutique hotel located conveniently in the Plaka neighborhood of Athens. There are ample restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Very cool boutique hotel near the Plaka neighborhood in Athens. Our suite was beautiful and well equipped with a small kitchen and an attractive patio. The included breakfast buffet was excellent. Finally, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful throughout our short 2 night stay. Highly recommended.

Ava was a fantastic stay in Athens. It was surprisingly quiet, walking distance from lots of amazing places and very clean. The breakfast was fantastic and we would gladly stay here again.

The location of the AVA hotel was perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the fresh squeezed orange juice was divine. I highly recommend this hotel.

This was a perfect hotel for us. Wouldn’t stay any place else. Location in Plaka us perfect. Shopping and restaurants everywhere. Every member of staff at hotel is exceptional. Pleasant and so Accommodating. We are vegetarians who do not eat eggs and every morning They came to our table with Some special eggless bread so I could have toast! Buffet breakfast had everything you could ask for. Rooms are spotless and quite large. Highly recommend the executive suite. Great balcony with city and Acropolis view. A real home away from home feeling.

They were very accommodating to my middle of the night arrival. Comfortable bed. Breakfast not included but delicious. Excellent location in Plaka near Acropolis. Friendly staff!

Great hotel - location was excellent - 5 minutes walk to the acropolis and loads of restaurants and shops close by. Staff superb - bottle of champagne on arrival which was a nice surprise. Room was a good size with a large comfortable bed, kitchen facilities including a fridge / freezer and a beautiful bathroom . It was spotlessly clean . We booked a balcony room but it was very small and no chairs so unable to sit out- not sure if they do rooms with larger balconies? Overall a superb hotel and I would highly recommend and stay again. We dined at the Athens gate rooftop restaurant nearby which was excellent with great views .

We had another great stay at AVA Hotel (our second). The location is terrific and the staff are fantastically kind and helpful (recommending tour guides, arranging taxis, answering questions).

The staff at reception was fantastic. They were able to organize a last minute private guided tour of the Acropolis (ask for Liana). The room was super nice and we got complimentary champagne. It was right outside the Plaka which made it great for shopping and food.
