Property was beautiful and was exactly what I wanted for my wedding. The pictures do not do the venue justice, every room has gorgeous rich history in it, with unique decorations and nicknacks all over. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything one could ever need to cook, and was very well organized and BEAUTIFUL.

We are from out of state. This was the perfect venue for hosting a rehearsal dinner in the event center next door and a place for my sons groomsmen to stay. In the heart of town. Close to everything we needed. Plenty of space for everyone. Ample parking! Well stocked commercial kitchen and commercial ice maker.

We had a large group of 15 family members stay at this lovely property. It was everything the listing promised. The gourmet kitchen was stocked with plenty of pots, pans and dishes to make cooking a breeze. Everyone slept comfortably in the well apportioned bedrooms. The living spaces were spacious and comfortable. We also rented the adjacent party venue for an event. It was perfect for our get together. We very much enjoyed our stay and all of our needs and questions were met with prompt responses from the host. We would definitely stay again!

The Olde House was a great place to have our small intimate wedding. And had enough indoor space for people to move around and the backyard and garage area for entertaining was super nice. The only thing that I would have to say was in June, it’s awfully warm and we did notice the house had a hard time staying cool toward the afternoon and evening. We did bring in some fans and it made the situation much better. I would definitely recommend this place for an event. I think it would be a great place to have something either in the spring or fall when the weather is more desirable.

Fabulous, spacious property. We used for a wedding and had lots of kitchen space to get food ready. The rooms were spacious and the two extra half baths were nice! Wonderful old house charm! Recommend opting for the wedding package for the venue addition with all the tables and chairs, ice chests, and air conditioned/heated space which came in handy! Most reasonable priced venue we could find in the area with the ability to use as a venue and have rooms for our guests to stay! We enjoyed our visit and highly recommend The Olde House!

We stayed at the Olde House for a graduation and used the party barn. It was a wonderful experience. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful historical house with large backyard. The house was great for our gathering. A lot of parking space, if you rent the garage for the event space.

The pictures do not do this beautiful old property any Justice! The age and handiwork throughout and large kitchen space made it feel like home. we didn’t want to leave! My wife and I took a chance site unseen and had the wedding of our dreams here. They do have a wedding package available which gives you access to the covered shed with tables and chairs… which can sit almost 50 people about 12 tables. Ask the owner about it. I’m glad we did! It was a huge help. We loved everything about the home and will more than likely stay again in the future!!!

We had an amazing time at this place! There were lots of dishes and seating for our group. We had a wide range of ages for my mom's 80th birthday weekend. Many from our group commented about how nice the property was. The large backyard was a hit. The event space was nice. First night we had the doors open. 2nd evening we closed it up and used the air conditioners. Tad smaller than I was expecting but it was still wonderful! The house had lots of seating for people to chit chat with each other. It was also close to lots of shopping and food places.

The house was exactly what we needed. The air conditioned event space on the property was great as well! Definitely recommend for anyone needing a wedding venue.

Over all i would say it was decent, most venues you get for entire day and didnt even get for 24 hours so i could not have party at the time i wanted other wise i would have had to do for another night but house was great and very clean and well stocked.. just kinda wish there was not a tv in the front room looks so out of place ginlven the age of the home ..

Positives: house was Big, clean, huge modern kitchen for lots of people to gather, well-stocked pantry, loved having a washer/dryer available, 4 toilets, recliners, & nice fenced-in backyard. Air conditioning was able to keep up in the Texas heat but we had to lower the thermostat to 70 to keep the house a cool 75 degrees. The host was great about communicating before the trip. House had a lot of cool/interesting features. Town of Wiley was adorable & Frankie's Casa Tex Mex was AMAZING! Negatives: says sleeps 13 without air mattresses, in reality, it would only be 11 if there were 2 people in the 1 king, 3 queens, 1 double, & twin. We had 10 adults, so it worked without having to use air mattresses. Double bed needs a flat platform under the mattress due to a thin mattress on boards that you could feel. We put that mattress on the floor to sleep. Bedroom lamps had shorts in them. Main room couch needs replacing, it swallowed anyone who sat on it. House on busy street, a bit tricky pulling in & out. Front door VERY hard to close. We left several recommendations to make a stay more accommodating & user-friendly such as: having a guest folder with instructions, fans, ext cords, more lamps (house was dark), Wi-Fi ext upstairs, etc. We had one major issue with the ovens, both broken & not working. We called, texted, & emailed. It took several hours before anyone responded. No one ever came out to fix the problem while we were there.

Clean home, amazing yard. Terrible timing with construction and Halloween parade but that’s not homes fault.

This enchanting house was perfect for a dinner party with my friends and I. The kitchen has everything! And it is wonderfully set up to have a medium sized group share laughs over fresh homemade food. The beds were surprisingly comfy and, the back yard is beautiful. We all enjoyed our stay to the fullest.

Upstairs tub is very slippery making it hard to shower. Some outlets and lamps don't work.

This was the perfect place to have out of town family stay in conjunction with my daughters high school graduation. It was the perfect size. Everyone had space. Kitchen is amazing. Everyone said all the beds were great. Backyard is perfect to enjoy after the sun goes down. Really a great , unique place to celebrate.

We rented this home for a wedding venue. We had family stay at the house for a few days preceding as well. There is ample space in the house as well as the backyard. The home is old and charming with all the modern amenities. Great find!

This was a really a nice place for our family to meet and celebrate my wife's birthday. My wife and her sisters really loved this antique home and it had the perfect dining table and kitchen for our group of 7 (adult siblings and spouses). My wife was excited because this home reminded us of a time when we lived in a smaller early 1900's craftsman home. The kitchen is really amazing. The only drawback of this stay was that I arrived after dark and finding the lockbox was a bit rough. Colton said where it was but I wasn't looking below knee level on the backside of the porch railing. But with that said, I think this is a wonderful home for those who enjoy and appreciate antique period architecture and Colton responded promptly to my questions. As a suggestion for any future remodels it might be nice to make the downstairs bedroom bathroom entrance and space handicap accessible. Retro fitting old homes is tough but this would really help your guests with limited mobility. Thank you for opening up your amazing home. We would definitely recommend it to others.

My team and I were blown away by this house. The history, the beauty, the nostalga, you could feel it all! Also comfortable beds and up to date appliances. I suggest this place highly!

We had a lovely time at the Olde House. We rented the event space to hold my wife's 50th birthday party. Everything felt mostly in order and ready for us. It would have been nice to have had better pictures of the event space. Clearer instructions on how to unlock everything, and how to use the heaters in the event space would have made everything a little more enjoyable. Overall, it was a great time.

This is a great place for people to gather, cook, eat and just hang out. the 2, 4 star choices are only because we had 2 questions and concerns during our stay and sent two messages of which we never got a reply. luckily it was not an urgent situation. The house is on a busy street and we heard sirens off and on all night. otherwise it was great. Thank you.

The house has a very unique charm, and it was an awesome stay! Colton was very communicative, and helped us sort some things out that we had questions about upon checkin.

Perfect size for our group of 11. Very close to restaurants and shops. When we checked in there was an issue with the air conditioner and the owner came over right away and when he was unable to resolve the issue he called a contractor who was very prompt and resolved the issue. Would definitely stay here again.

Great house one block from downtown Wylie. Excellent place for family events. Well equipped kitchen and large dining room. Hope to rent again in a few years for next graduation celebration.

Wow! What a beautiful home! Check in was seamless. The restoration of this home and the quality of the furniture and ambiance was second to none. A gem of a home in Wylie TX.
