Teresa's cottage is amazing! I went for a weekend with 3 friends and we had such a nice time. The property is lovely, with tall redwoods and even its own babbling brook right next to the little deck - a perfect place to relax with a cup of coffee in the morning and tea and meditation in the evening. It's also an easy walk to the super charming downtown area with cafes, restaurants and unique, quirky shops. I'm hoping to come back with my family (including 2 teenagers who would love the town) for another weekend. And Teresa is a delightful host - she was so kind and gracious when we accidentally locked ourselves out and had to call on her to help us get in. :) I can't recommend her place highly enough!!

This cottage was so sweet! It was a perfect space for three senior sisters. The beds were comfy. The property was filled with mature redwoods, which were beautiful, and kept the cottage cool without AC. I highly recommend this property.

We had an incredible time at this little cottage. The host is so friendly and helpful, making sure we had a travel crib for our 1 year old and giving lots of toddler-friendly suggestions for activities that we followed and really enjoyed. The cottage is cool and roomy but cosy, with a very comfy couch and nice open living area. Kitchen is well-equipped and well-stocked making it easy to cook, and the location is great as you can walk into town in 10 mins. Beds are comfy and cottage is quiet making for comfy sleep. The redwoods surrounding ensure you feel so at peace. We spent many hours sitting out front at the little table as our toddler napped. Truly a wonderful place to stay and we would return in a heartbeat!

I stayed here as I was finishing up my last MFA residency at Dominican University. Fairfax is a lovely, quirky little town and this place - nestled in the redwoods -- is quiet yet close to everything. Teresa was an amazing host -- bottles of water in the fridge, towels, a French press, spices, tea, etc. The cabin itself is sooooo charming, and so comfy - I just loved sitting and drinking my coffee in the a.m. While it doesn't have an oven, it has just about everything else you'd need (hot plate, microwave, dorm-sized fridge). I'll be back when my teen graduates from high school - he wants a San Fran/Marin experience and this is a great place to launch it from!

Fantastic, beautiful property to stay in nestled in the Red Woods! We were coming for a wedding at Deer Park Villa which was 5 minutes away and this Vrbo made the stay more magical! The host was super helpful and they thought of everything- even spices, coffee, and extra blankets. Our friends stayed on the pull out sofa and said it was very comfortable too! Fairfax is super convenient and a very cute town as well. We might come back just to stay here!

My son and I came up to explore the San Francisco area but didn’t want to be right in the city. This cottage was perfect. The town was only 4-5 mins away where we could get food, coffee, ice cream etc. We chose not to cook while there but, the kitchen has everything you could want for basic meals. You can’t roast a turkey there- anything else you could do. The cottage was clean, including linens and towels. It has a little porch on the front with a small table where I had my coffee one morning but, you could have up to 4 people eating a meal there. Teresa had excellent communication and check in/out was easy. I would definitely stay there again if I was in the area.

When we arrived at the cabin the fireplace was going and the lights were all turned on. It was so welcoming. Also, the pictures on VRBO are exactly what we saw. The creek running alongside the cabin was so calming. It is a quaint little town with lots of shops. The cabin was so cozy and comfortable. We will definitely go there again.

Wonderful spot in a great neighborhood! Perfect for our family of 4. Exceptionally comfortable queen bed and sofa bed (we didn’t use the twin bed but I’m sure it’s good too!). I was a little apprehensive about the weather and lack of A/C in the Bay Area — it was July when we were there an unusually hot — but the redwood cover really does keep the house nice and cool. Teresa was very considerate and I enjoyed communicating with her. We were in town for a wedding at Deer Park Villa and actually walked to and from the venue! About 10 min walk there and 15 min walk to downtown Fairfax, which is a great little town. Can’t say enough about this rental and location!!

We had a great stay in this beautiful,1920's bungalow. It's very cozy, super clean, and perfect for a SFO area getaway. Very close to San Fran, Muir Woods, and wine country. We loved the quaint little town of Fairfax. Great responsive host. Highly recommend.

The cottage was spotless and a true retreat. We arrived after dark and Teresa had left the lights on for us. The next morning we woke up, opened the curtain in the bedroom and were greeted by a huge Redwood inches from our window. The cottage is nestled among redwoods. A ten minute walk from town and just around the corner from trails through more redwoods. It has been a stressful year and we both felt the healing power of the peaceful setting. You are likely to see deer wandering down the road. Wonderful star gazing. We will return!

This was such a lovely place to stay. Right near town but tucked in under the trees at the edge of the forest. Clean, comfortable, and very cozy, it had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Host was welcoming and available but respected our privacy. We definitely will stay here again the next time we return to Marin County, there is so much to explore.

Perfectly located in the redwoods of Fairfax, this lovely small house is spotless and comfortable, only a 10-15 minute walk from the downtown. Very nice hosts made us feel at home right away. And Fairfax is a fun town to explore, not to mention all the nature attractions that are nearby: Point Reyes, Mount Tam, etc. Great place!

My wife and I, along with a friend were in town for a wedding. We were so thrilled with the location of the property, which is in a quiet neighborhood and also conveniently located to the downtown area. We loved the unique construction of the cottage as well as the interior layout and decor. We will definitely return to stay here next opportunity we have!

We were surrounded by redwoods. Teresa’s home made us feel very welcome. The bed was very comfy, but the pillows were a bit flat. We went to Muir Woods and this place was about 30 minutes away which made it convenient. Teresa was very responsive to our questions.

The house is very eclectic and cozy. It sits in a lovely grove of redwoods and is very quiet. The surrounding neighborhoods are nice to walk around in. Teresa, the host was always immediately available to answer any questions we had. We really enjoyed our stay.

My boyfriend and I were hoping to escape the noise and congestion of Fleet Week in San Francisco, and this cottage was the perfect antidote -- spacious, comfortable, and quiet. Now that we know the property and the kind owner, Teresa, we're looking forward to spending more time there in future! (Pro tip: to play the DVDs provided onsite, use the slot on the upper left-hand side of the TV.)

It's also an easy walk to the super charming downtown area with cafes, restaurants and unique, quirky shops. I'm hoping to come back with my family (including 2 teenagers who would love the town) for another weekend. And Teresa is a delightful host - she was so kind and gracious when we accidentally locked ourselves out and had to call on her to help us get in. :) I can't recommend her place highly enough!!

Perfect rainy weekend in Fairfax. This little pied-a-terre was just what we needed between and after our outdoor activities. Big plus: super comfy bed! Our host was really nice and helpful; she's a great communicator.

We stayed here to attent a wedding. It was a perfect place to come back to after all the hustle and bustle of wedding events. Teresa was extremely communicative and helpful. And the property is just gorgeous!

This is a quiet cottage only minutes by foot from downtown Fairfax. I walked every morning to the bakery. We were in town for our daughter's wedding and found the location and the cottage perfect for our needs. Super clean, charming, and Teresa is there to help with any special requests. She gave me a recommendation for a park to use for a pre-wedding party. It was perfect. Ten out of ten rating.

We had an incredible time at this little cottage. The host is so friendly and helpful, making sure we had a travel crib for our 1 year old and giving lots of toddler-friendly suggestions for activities that we followed and really enjoyed. The cottage is cool and roomy but cosy, with a very comfy couch and nice open living area. Kitchen is well-equipped and well-stocked making it easy to cook, and the location is great as you can walk into town in 10 mins. Beds are comfy and cottage is quiet making for comfy sleep. The redwoods surrounding ensure you feel so at peace. We spent many hours sitting out front at the little table as our toddler napped. Truly a wonderful place to stay and we would return in a heartbeat!

This was such a lovely place to stay. Right near town but tucked in under the trees at the edge of the forest. Clean, comfortable, and very cozy, it had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Host was welcoming and available but respected our privacy. We definitely will stay here again the next time we return to Marin County, there is so much to explore.

The house is very eclectic and cozy. It sits in a lovely grove of redwoods and is very quiet. The surrounding neighborhoods are nice to walk around in. Teresa, the host was always immediately available to answer any questions we had. We really enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was spotless and a true retreat. We arrived after dark and Teresa had left the lights on for us. The next morning we woke up, opened the curtain in the bedroom and were greeted by a huge Redwood inches from our window. The cottage is nestled among redwoods. A ten minute walk from town and just around the corner from trails through more redwoods. It has been a stressful year and we both felt the healing power of the peaceful setting. You are likely to see deer wandering down the road. Wonderful star gazing. We will return!

We always enjoy staying at Teresa's property. It is in a craftsman house in a beautiful setting among the redwood trees. the house is very comfortable with lots of amenities. We are able to walk to downtown Fairfax for restaurants. There is a great ice cream shop downtown.

We were drawn to this property by the beautiful redwoods and wanting to enjoy the natural beauty of the area! Fairfax and this cozy home were both perfect! We were able to visit the City, hike the redwoods and sip wine in Sonoma! Our hosts were lovely and added to our enjoyment ! We will be back!

Wonderful spot in a great neighborhood! Perfect for our family of 4. Exceptionally comfortable queen bed and sofa bed (we didn’t use the twin bed but I’m sure it’s good too!). I was a little apprehensive about the weather and lack of A/C in the Bay Area — it was July when we were there an unusually hot — but the redwood cover really does keep the house nice and cool. Teresa was very considerate and I enjoyed communicating with her. We were in town for a wedding at Deer Park Villa and actually walked to and from the venue! About 10 min walk there and 15 min walk to downtown Fairfax, which is a great little town. Can’t say enough about this rental and location!!

We had the best time at the rental. The place was perfect for relaxing and close to activities. We hiked Muir Woods which was near by then went over to Stinson Beach. The property host was wonderful she assisted us before we got to the rental and during our stay. We would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

Perfectly located in the redwoods of Fairfax, this lovely small house is spotless and comfortable, only a 10-15 minute walk from the downtown. Very nice hosts made us feel at home right away. Teresa's cottage is amazing! I went for a weekend with 3 friends and we had such a nice time. The property is lovely, with tall redwoods and even its own babbling brook right next to the little deck - a perfect place to relax with a cup of coffee in the morning and tea and meditation in the evening. It's also an easy walk to the super charming downtown area with cafes, restaurants and unique, quirky shops. I stayed here as I was finishing up my last MFA residency at Dominican University. Fairfax is a lovely, quirky little town and this place - nestled in the redwoods -- is quiet yet close to everything. Teresa was an amazing host -- bottles of water in the fridge, towels, a French press, spices, tea, etc. The cabin itself is sooooo charming, and so comfy - I just loved sitting and drinking my coffee in the a.m. While it doesn't have an oven, it has just about everything else you'd need (hot plate, microwave, dorm-sized fridge). I'll be back when my teen graduates from high school - he wants a San Fran/Marin experience and this is a great place to launch it from!

Fantastic, beautiful property to stay in nestled in the Red Woods! We were coming for a wedding at Deer Park Villa which was 5 minutes away and this Vrbo made the stay more magical! The host was super helpful and they thought of everything- even spices, coffee, and extra blankets. Our friends stayed on the pull out sofa and said it was very comfortable too! Fairfax is super convenient and a very cute town as well. We might come back just to stay here!

My son and I came up to explore the San Francisco area but didn’t want to be right in the city. This cottage was perfect. The town was only 4-5 mins away where we could get food, coffee, ice cream etc. We chose not to cook while there but, the kitchen has everything you could want for basic meals. You can’t roast a turkey there- anything else you could do. The cottage was clean, including linens and towels. It has a little porch on the front with a small table where I had my coffee one morning but, you could have up to 4 people eating a meal there. Teresa had excellent communication and check in/out was easy. I would definitely stay there again if I was in the area.

This is a delightful little cottage. Plenty of room, comfortable beds. Each morning we sat on the little porch to drink our coffee. Deer roamed the hillside just across the street. We loved our stay and hated to leave.

We enjoyed the cabin in the woods. Host provided a couple of days worth of coffee and paper products to get you started. If you book a long stay, laundry will have to be done in town. We enjoyed the huge redwoods surrounding the cabin. Host was very accommodating so we could park our van in a secure spot off the street. Thank you Teresa!
