Hotel Schmidt

Bad experience but the hotel did refund me. I booked a basic single room, described as 194 sq ft, Free WiFi, Balcony, and a nice looking photo on the website. What I got was a musty attic garret that reeked of cigarettes, had zero wifi, and was about he size of a small bathroom. I was very upset and asked the receptionist to give me a different room and they said nothing else was available. The next day they gave me a new room and refunded me for the prior night. The new room was totally lovely and matched the photo, expect the lights in the bathroom didn't work. It had a nice big window overlooking a peaceful garden. But i had spent the first night in real misery, trying to book another hotel and freaking out because my booking was non-refundable and I thought I was going to lose my money. And I had not internet and I needed to work. So I feel like I lost a day of my vacation in misery and panic and I'm really not happy about it. Also I cannot believe that they'd rent that disgusting tiny closet to anyone. It's not fit for anyone to stay there. I'm glad I was refunded the $120.00 I had paid for the room but it still didn't give me back a day of my life and my precious vacation time.

Fint værelse, god morgenmad

Das Hotel besteht aus mehreren alten Häusern. Direkt gegenüber ist eine Bushaltestelle und ein S Bahnhof, sowie ein gutes Steakrestaurant ( Block House ) und ein Döner Imbiss, der bis nach 0:00 Uhr noch geöffnet war. Zudem gab es noch eine Art Kneipe direkt neben dem Hotel. Wir waren zu einem Konzert Besuch in Hamburg . Die Anbindung mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln war ideal . Es gab einen kostenlosen Parkplatz direkt hinter dem Hotel . Das Frühstücksbüffet war gut und es wurde immer zügig nachgelegt . Das Inventar ist in die Jahre gekommen, aber alles war sauber und ordentlich. Zugegebenermaßen hat der erste Eindruck uns etwas abgeschreckt, aber die sehr gute Verkehrsanbindung , der Imbiss , die Kneipe nebenan, alles passte sehr gut zu unserem Aufenthalt. Für uns war es perfekt.

Nice little room, close to train which was great. Room was hot & couldnt leave window open due to mozzies. No safe storage for a small backpack.
