ARCOTEL Rubin Hamburg

The main reason for choosing ARCOTEL RUBIN, among the many hotels in Hamburg, were the opportunity to park at the hotel, and a renowned Gin Bar, I’ll get back to the bar. When we arrived at the hotel their parking garage had a clear green “Frei” sign outside, meaning please drive in, however the garage door wouldn’t open, and the machine wouldn’t give me a ticket. We went to the reception to inquire, and where told, that the garage was full, and we could park about 500 meters away at the street. Well, we were very dissatisfied with that answer, which we informed the reception in both German and English. Well, the receptionist couldn’t do anything, other than give us a call, if there should turn up a free space in their garage. We parked our car those 500 meters away and dragged our luggage back to the hotel. When we arrived at the room, we got a call, that there now was a free space in the garage. I ran back to the car, and entered the garage, it still wouldn’t open, but when I rang the reception, they remotely opened it for me. Much to my surprise I didn’t only find one free space, I found 11 unoccupied parking spots in the garage, and furthermore all of the four handicap spaces were unoccupied as well! The only explanation I can think of, that they keep these spaces free for annoying customers like me. So heads up if you choose this hotel, and there’s no parking available, give them some noise at the reception, and mysteriously there will turn empty spaces up.

Das Hotel hat ein Parkhaus, ist aber sehr eng. Als Hotelgast fand ich das Parken recht teuer.

Room size was fine. Clean, comfortable. The design was not the most up to date but was well maintained. There should be an outlet in the bathroom. The staff and service were great. Location was OK. Many restaurants shops around. Supermarket just across the street. Restaurants tend to be the same kind of food though. As a whole, very satisfying. We came early and was able to check in immediately. There were gym and sauna!

für einen Sightseeing-Besuch in Hamburg gut geeignetes sauberes ruhiges Hotel, sehr freundliches Personal, Frühstücksbuffet und gepflegte Bar im Lobbybereich. Minuspunkt könnte die nicht so gute Gegend sein, aber es schien auch nachts nicht direkt unsicher, vom nur wenige Minuten entfernten Hauptbahnhof zum Hotel zu laufen.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit tollen Mitarbeitern, hervorragendem Frühstücksbüffet und tollen sauberen Zimmern mit guten Betten. Einzig die Lage und die Wartezeiten am Aufzug sind zu bemängeln.

Die Lage ist nicht ganz optimal. Aber das Hotel ist super. Insb. auch der Wellnessbereich mit der Dachterrasse

Das Hotel war ok, aber eher Standardmäßig eingerichtet und für ein vier Sterne Hotel hätten wir mehr erwartet. Das Frühstück war gut. WLAN funktionierte in unserem Zimmer nicht. Unverschämt fanden wir den Preis für das Parkhaus. In diesem hätte nicht mal ein Smart gut parken können, viel zu eng und heruntergekommen. Dafür 24€ zu nehmen, ist schon etwas frech.

Ganske godt hotel, der kan anbefales. Parkeringskælder god, men meget trang, når bilen er stor.

Das Arcotel Rubin ist nicht mehr das, was vor ca. 3 Jahren noch war. Unser Badezimmer war recht klein und das Fenster war undicht.

Sehr saubere Unterkunft. Zentral gelegen, fußläufig gut erreichbar und gut mittels U- Bahn und S-Bahn angebunden.Das Frühstück war top, wir würden wiederkommen!

Good hotel, having a fridge in the room was also convenient.

The room is clean, not far from the train station. But it is quite basic, maybe too basic for the price. Breakfast is usually expensive in Germany and I think a good breakfast can be found for much less outside the hotel. We were not told at the reception that the room cleaning had to be ordered so we were left without it. The street from the station to the hotel is quite scary so I recommend caution.

One night stay but hotel was clean, room was clean and quiet (we were street side and noise was not there) and overall location was good with only 8 min walk to train station. Overall nice place to stay in Hamburg.

guter grosser raum, tolle möbel, im zimmer viele tee-tassen und gläser und löffel (für meine medikamente). nicht gut: kopfkissen waren zu weich, machten mir schlafstörungen. zimmer und bad waren bissl zu kühl, keine heizung in beiden räumen, nach warmen duschen frierte ich sehr. ein fenster war ohne vorhang, starkes licht von korridorlampen gegenueber war bissl verwirrend, tageslicht morgens weckte mich auch auf, zu früh auf.

The area around the hotel was chaotic and not Very Nice. But the location was good and close to trains and nusses. The beds wasn’t the Best.

Ich habe über Hotels.com die Unterkunft gebucht. Es war eine geschäftliche Reise. Die Unterkunft stellt sich quer und will keine Rechnung ausstellen und verweist immer wieder auf Hotels.com. Ich bin sehr verärgert, da ich ohne Rechnung keine Erstattung erhalte.

Das Personal an der Rezeption war hervorragend Ganz besonders Nina !

Been only 1 night. Really friendly staff. Quick checkin and checkout. Twin beds a bit larger and confortable, nice rooms.

Hotel is nice, clean, and located a short walk to a street with many good restaurants and from the Central Station in Hamburg. Also a short walk to a beautiful lake and we enjoyed our evening walks around the lake. Staff are friendly and upgraded us to a nice room with views when we told them we are not happy with the room we were given at the check-in. Breakfasts are really great and offer variety of foods. I highly recommend this hotel.

Umgebung ist kritisch und sehr laut, aber auch zentral, trotzdem ist der Preis dafür zu hoch.

Den Weg vom Bahnhof zum Hotel fand ich nicht wirklich sicher (viele Drogenabhängige und Obdachlose und Damen des leichten Gewerbes).

Hôtel bien situé à quelques minutes d’une ligne de métro qui va directement en ville. Par contre, il n’y a personne dans les rues le soir, on se sent un peu seul. Bon accueil, on peut acheter une carte pour le métro à l’hôtel. Literie correcte. Très bon petit déjeuner, pour 22 €.

Nice hotel close to underground, only one stop from main station. Well organised, has everything in the room that you need. Pleasant stay. Lot of Turkish eateries around.

Very bad check-in experience, very rude reception personnel.. They don't know how to talk with customers ! No kettle or any other ammenities in the room. No halal meat at breakfast area and not a satisfactory breakfast buffet. Heating was inadequate, my room was literally cold !
