The hotel is well located, within walking distance of the main shopping areas, with a metro station practically on its doorstep. The staff were friendly and helpful. However, the hotel is extremely dated, with little evidence of investment or maintenance. The lift was about 60 years old (renovated), and its heavy, awkward doors make access difficult, especially for elderly guests or those with reduced mobility. Our top-floor room left a lot to be desired in terms of cleanliness. There was strange discoloured buildup behind the toilet, and the towel rail was dirty and rusty. We found someone else’s hair in the bed upon arrival, although the linen itself appeared clean. The once-white towels were long overdue for replacement. The furniture was old but in good condition. The room had two skylights, and the wooden floor beneath was covered in dust and showed clear signs of water damage from previous rainfall. There are several breakfast spots right next to the hotel, so I would definitely recommend having breakfast at one of those instead. We came for a Backstreet Boys concert and expected inflated prices, but even considering the event, charging this much for a hotel in such poor condition was frankly outrageous.
