I have visited this hotel several times. Dispite that the rooms can be very small and there is no air conditioning, I really like it. The location is good, close to the main shopping street and to the subway. And nice walkingdistance to the old town. The staff is always helpful and there is a nice bar by the reception. I will come back next time in Düsseldorf.

The hotel is in a fantastic location and is close enough to walk everywhere. It's a boutique hotel so the rooms are quite small and tight but lovely. The decor is a nice touch and the eco amenities are helpful. The pool table in the foyer is a great addition to the bar area. You can book breakfast for €12 and it's pretty decent.

Staff very friendly, bed very comfortable but room so small could only get in on one side - so bit awkward. Kettle and tea/sugar in room but if to want instant coffee bring your own. Quirky features in the room - basketball hoop! And record player, with records - our record player did not work unfortunately. Bar area great with pool table and relaxed seating.

Das Hotel hebt sich durch seinen individuellen Stil und eine sehr angenehme Atmosphäre vom üblichen Ketten-Standard ab. Die Lobby ist modern, stylisch und lädt mit einem Billardtisch und vielen liebevollen Details zum Verweilen ein. Das Design zieht sich durch das ganze Haus – vom Flur bis ins Zimmer. Der Service war top: freundlich, hilfsbereit und lösungsorientiert. Wünsche wurden ernst genommen, Probleme direkt angegangen. So soll es sein. Unser Zimmer war geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sauber und mit viel Charakter. Man merkt, dass hier Wert auf Details gelegt wird – kein typisches 0815-Zimmer. Das Bad ist klein, aber funktional und ebenfalls sauber. Die Fotos zeigen das Zimmer nach Nutzung – der gute Zustand war bei Check-in gegeben. Wichtig zu wissen: Bei 38 °C Außentemperatur war das Zimmer unangenehm warm, da keine Klimaanlage vorhanden ist. Es gab einen Ventilator, aber der reicht bei solchen Temperaturen nicht aus. Uns wurde gesagt, dass eine Lösung in Arbeit ist – derzeit sollte man das bei einer Sommerbuchung einkalkulieren. Zum Frühstück können wir nichts sagen, da wir es nicht genutzt haben. Fazit: Sehr stilvolles Boutique-Hotel Zentrale Lage Top Service Saubere, individuelle Zimmer – Kein AC, bei Hitze klarer Schwachpunkt Wer auf Design, Atmosphäre und freundlichen Service Wert legt, ist hier richtig – aber im Hochsommer besser vorher über die Raumtemperatur

The property was fun! Record player and basketball goal in rooms and pool table downstairs. Staff was accommodating and friendly.

Great location, affordable prices and a nice clean room. Not Your typical Posh Hotel Style, but very charming. Best feature was that You'd can choose not to have Your room cleaned one day and get a free drink instead. Absolutely love that idea!

Great quirky hotel with friendly staff.Its in a great location not to far from the main centre and the old town. It has the added bonus of a bar and a pool table. Would definetly stay here again.

An sich ein gutes und schönes Hotel. Man könnte aber etwas an der Sauberkeit und Reinigung verbessern. Im Zimmer waren Staubwolken und auch nach der Bitte nochmal kurz zu reinigen, lagen immer noch Staubwolken herum und unterm Teppich war auch voll von Staub und Schmutz. Der duschkopf war eingerostet. Ansonsten war alles gut. Bett ist bequem und es gibt Cafés und gute Parkplätze in der Umgebung. In 5 Minuten ist man zu Fuß in der Stadt

Personal war der Hammer. Haben ein kostenloses Upgrade bekommen. Zimmer selbst war leider in einem wirklich abgelebten Zustand. Teppich insbesondere, aber auch dass die Duschhalterung bei der ersten Nutzung einfach runter kam war echt blöd. Gut geputzt war das Zimmer aber. Ansonsten ist das Hotel super gelegen, Preis war in Ordnung.

Eigentlich schöne Location, sehr netter Empfang. Billardtisch in der Lobby witzig, gutes Frühstück. Aber Zimmer extrem klein. Überhaupt keine Ablage- oder Stellfläche für Gepäck. Da würde ich lieber auf Plattenspieler und Deko verzichten. Nicht sehr sauber, hinter dem Bett Staub und (eklig) ein gebrauchtes Plastikteil zur Zahnreinigung.

The beds were very clean, but you could see dust in corners of the room on binds etc. The carpets in the halls were not in the best condition again hall windows dusty and breakfast was over priced.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal und einer angenehmen Atmosphäre. Die Zimmer waren sauber, gemütlich und gut ausgestattet. Besonders gefallen haben mir das reichhaltige Frühstück und die ruhige Lage. Ich habe mich rundum wohlgefühlt und komme gerne wieder.

Overall, it was adequate! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The walls are paper thin, unfortunately. All was clean except the showers, the curtain definitely needs replacing due to mildew.

We hebben een heerlijk weekend gehad. Bed op de kamer is prima. De bedbank daarentegen is vreselijk. De badkamer is erg klein en ook de douche is gemaakt voor kleine mensjes. Ook vond ik de kamers niet echt heel schoon. Vlekken op het kussen en op de dekens……Vintage was heel leuk en ook het centrum op loopafstand. Ontbijt was prima.

There are plenty of things to like about the property, including the staff, decor and location. The price as advertised, however, is for a very small and non-air conditioned double room without breakfast. To change our booking to a twin, there was an extra surcharge of EUR 20 per night, and to add breakfast would have incurred a similar charge. The hotel itself is quiet but the area was very noisy; we visited in August and with the window open, it was hard to sleep. I also sensed they had some issue with cleaning - our room was not clean by check-in at 3, meaning a 45 minute wait on arrival, and while wet towels were removed, they were not replaced. That being said, cleanliness was not an issue. I also have to agree that some of the decor is ageing, but the overall feel had much more character than a normal hotel, and the bedding was lovely. The location is fine - close to the train station yet quieter and safer than just outside of it, and there are a range of places to eat within 10 minutes by foot. Overall, I think it offered a bit of luxury at a decent price (and the reception team were great), but if visiting during the warmer months, I'd suggest packing earplugs.

Rent och fräscht rum, skön säng och bra arbetsyta. Rymlig rum men en ganska liten toalett. Rummet var tyvärr väldigt lyhörd och kunde höra allt som försigick på gatan nedanför

The hotel has a fun theme. Unfortunately the record player in our room was broken and the staff weren't able to fix it during our 2 night stay. There's no air conditioning, which was a bit rough with the summer heat. The room was also quite cramped, which made it feel stuffier. We made do with the ceiling fan at least. The location is very convenient to shopping and restaurants and is only about 10-15m walking from the main train station.

So you want to know if I'd stay here again, yes I would. The staff were very helpful. The area is 6 minutes walk to a large shopping street---shadowstrasse and had some great transport links. The food in the surrounding area of Little Tokyo is delicious and the room was fun and quirky. However!!! Although I didn't miss the ability to have room service I would have liked a mini fridge. The room was incredibly hot, even with the ceiling fan on all the time . When I asked the staff quickly found me a second room fan. A mini fridge would've allowed us to keep cold drinks and even some snacks. Although there's shampoo, body, hand wash and lotion there was no conditioner. Plus you couldn't remove the bottles making it difficult if you were bathing rather than showering. The towels were too small to fit round me and bath sheet would've been much more useful as we were sharing a twin room. There was no extractor fan in the bathroom. There was a hairdryer. The television wasn't a smart tv and so I couldn't log into my own accounts so there was only German tv. The remote control was filthy. The rug in the room needed replaced. Unless it was part of the shabby chic design.

Tyvärr kan jag inte rekommendera detta hotellet. Luktade mögel i hela hotellet. Så små och trånga rum. Ingen luftkonditionering endast gnisslande fläkt i taket.

Staff and location were excellent. The pictures shown on Expedia give you the impression that it is better than it actually is.

Staff was wonderful but the room was beyond tiny. We traveled with a backpack and had nowhere to put it. Ended up hanging it on a coat hook. Toilet had a window overlooking the bedroom which had zero privacy, and the shower was handheld only and broken so you couldn't clip it properly. So we had three nights of prison showers. Duvet had blood on it, and the sheets on the bed were fitted in such a way that they were hanging off the lower end, and if you so much as moved your head at night you were sleeping on a bare mattress. Zero USB chargers so had to go purchase one. Housekeeping just didn't come one day. No coffee in room, just some green tea.

Hotel was fabulous and the staff were so helpful and friendly. We visited for my mum’s birthday and they went out of their way to make it special. The rooms are fairly compact but spotlessly clean, modern and cosy. Will definitely stay again.

Cool place in a good location!

We have stayed at this hotel several times now, it is tastefully decorated and the rooms are modern and functional. The location between the main train station and the old town is ideal and surprisingly quiet. You can park your car in a nearby Q-Park parking garage for 13.50 euros per day, which is really cheap by Düsseldorf standards, but you should definitely book online in advance, because parking there is really difficult. We would check in again at any time

Got a room on the fifth floor just by the elevator. Really nice and spacious room. Love the retro touch to it. Really central, can walk everywhere and just a 10min walk from the central station.

Fußläufig gut vom Bahnhof zu erreichen. Die Immermannstraße (Japanmeile) direkt nebenan und auch sonst war man sehr schnell an der Kö oder in der Fußgängerzone. Ausstattung einzigartig. Zimmer etwas klein, dafür das Bett riesig mit XXL Daunen- Bettdecke (260×220). Ventilator im Zimmer vorhanden, keine Klimaanlage. Durchlüften war mäßig möglich. Ist halt Innenstadt, da steht die Luft und für die Aussentemperaturen kann das Hotel nichts. Das Bett wurde täglich gemacht und der Mülleimer geleert. Frühstück mit großer Auswahl. Verschiedene Semmeln, kleine süße Teilchen, Obst, Wurst-, Käse-, Schinkenplatten, vegane Aufstriche mit Salatbar. Die Auswahl für ein Müsli war auch sehr vielfältig.

Frukost var god, tyckte att bratwursten var lite för kryddig. Rummet hade väldigt fina prylar.

5 night exhibition trip to good old Düsseldorf, the town known for it's dynamic taxi drivers :) Max Brown Midtown is located right between the HBF and shopping district, around 700m distance in either direction - perfect. The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere and everything is reasonably new and fresh. The room was super small but you can manage if you have the right mindset. At breakfast the bread was fresh (important!) and all the basic stuff was there. Coffee could be better. All in all a good price-quality ratio hotel and i will stay again when next time in Düsseldorf.

Leuk retro hotel plus (kleinere) kamer. Ontbijt moet je bijbetalen als je niet bijgeboekt hebt en dan is het prijzig voor 18 euro. Verder okay en rustig (maart). Bed is wat klein, maar prima quality.
