The hotel is newer and very nice. The rooms were comfortable, clean but extremely small. The bathrooms were anlso extremely small and impossible for two to get ready in the morning. The night valet/hotel desk attendant was hard to find when we needed our car early in the morning when we had an early flight. We found him in one of the guest rooms. Not sure what that was about.

Overall it was a nice stay but not worth the high price tag. Room was clean but very small. Staff is friendly but hotel seems understaffed—lobby is empty a lot of the time and they barely answer the phone if you need something. Great view from the rooftop bar/restaurant and good food. Noisy if you end up getting a room on the first floor.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the level of quality at this hotel. No noise in the rooms, and the hallways are quiet and well-insulated thanks to the carpeted floors. The room was beautifully decorated, the bedding excellent, and the bathroom very comfortable. A special touch: the Santal 33 by Le Labo fragrance—much appreciated! In the morning, you can grab a coffee and croissant right on your floor, which offers great flexibility to start your day your own way—though you can also enjoy breakfast on the rooftop, overlooking the Del and the ocean. It was a truly delightful stay, and I hope I’ll soon be able to call this place “my favorite spot in Coronado”!

About a five minute walk from the beach, they have beach chairs and towels you can take, which is great! Hotel is clean and cozy. They have yummy complimentary coffee and danishes in the morning. The only down side is, it isn’t as welcoming when checking in. I got thrown off on where to check in. Also, probably not good for families with little kids, probably best for couples or an all adult stay.

Such a lovely well appointed boutique hotel. All the amenities are top notch and well thought out. The staff, especially Michaela and Danny went over and above to make our stay fun and comfortable. The roof top restaurant’s food was great and the cocktails are amazing. The live music was a nice touch. We will definitely be back.

We loved the stay but they don't have a pool and need to let people know they have tickets to the pool near bye. They didn't tell us until we were about to leave. They are a new hotel also and need to get all the things working.

My family loved this hotel. It was our last stay on our vacation and it was wonderful. The room was so elegant and cozy. We loved the set up and the furnishings. We were so comfortable the entire time. We loved that we could walk to anywhere from the hotel. The beach was a short walk away, restaurants were so close by. The only negative mark I would give is that the lobby had a strange smell. And if you stay on the third floor, you might get a room beneath the restaurant. The noise wasn’t terrible but sometimes you could hear chairs scraping. But honestly, we would return and stay here despite those issues!

Disappointing Stay and Unfulfilled Promises at The Bower Coronado Our recent experience at The Bower Coronado was unfortunately a series of letdowns, ultimately leading us to cancel our stay. While the initial impression was positive, the reality of our room and the service we received quickly soured our visit. We arrived in San Diego at 2 PM and, hoping to settle in early, called the hotel. The front desk confirmed our room was ready and encouraged us to head over. Upon arrival around 3 PM, the lobby seemed inviting and the front desk staff were friendly, giving us a good first impression. However, once we got to our room, the issues became immediately apparent. The room itself felt small, but more concerning was its cleanliness. The floor was noticeably dirty with dust and hairs, and the nightstand drawer was sticky with what appeared to be food stains. Most disturbingly, the toilet had visible poo stains, and there were no towels in the room. We promptly notified the hotel, and Chris, a staff member, assured us they would "get right on it" to prepare the room. We asked the restaurant server for nearby recommendations, explaining our hunger. His response was shockingly unprofessional. When I asked if the Hotel Del Coronado's restaurant was open, he dismissed it as "overpriced," which felt like a personal judgment. He then suggested a Mexican fusion place. When my wife mentioned our kids weren't in the mood for Mexican, he reacted by shaking his head and rolling his eyes.

This hotel has only been open for a few months, so everything was nice, new and fresh. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I’d love to know where they get their pillows from. It is located directly across from the Dell and the beach and within walking distance of several dining options, which was great. There was an issue in our room with the lighting, primarily in the bathroom, and it would flicker off and on throughout the day and night. I’m sure on paper, it checks all the boxes but honestly, overall this didn’t really feel like a five star hotel. It is definitely quiet and quaint and was great for what we needed it to be, but it didn’t feel like it had a lot of bells and whistles in our opinion to be viewed as a five star, even if it is on paper. However, would recommend overall.

Overall great experience. House keeping could have been better, bed was made but no fresh towels were given. Staffing seemed to be shorthanded at times, however when they were not, they were very accommodating. Room service menu left little to be desired. Rooftop bar was a nighttime vibe. Hotel was right in the heart of Coronado and right across the street from the beach. I would definitely stay again.

The best part about this property was the staff, they were inviting, helpful, and seemed to genuinely care about our stay. Macayla and Sean specifically assisted us on the two nights we stayed and I cannot say enough great things about their customer service. House keeping was also terrific, our room was very clean upon arrival and when we took a trip to the beach and requested service it was completed prior to our arrival back. The room itself was very nicely set up and the beds were comfortable. The rooftop bar had great drinks and service, as well as a few tasty items on their menu. Overall our stay went off without any issues and we had a great time.

We wanted to try a boutique hotel and chose The Bower because of its fantastic location. If you get a room on the front side of the hotel, beware because the road noise is so loud. We moved rooms the 2nd night, but had issues all night with the air going off and on because of a faulty patio door sensor. Beware if it rains because the hotel restaurant is fully uncovered and all of the seating is unusable because it is wet. The staff is really nice, but management needs to work out the kinks.

The hotel is newer and very nice. The rooms were comfortable, clean but extremely small. The bathrooms were anlso extremely small and impossible for two to get ready in the morning. The night valet/hotel desk attendant was hard to find when we needed our car early in the morning when we had an early flight. We found him in one of the guest rooms. Not sure what that was about.

Absolutely fantastic stay and I will definitely be back! Mikaela was an absolute doll taking of the tiniest of details to ensure that my staycation celebrating my husband's birthday was perfection. The attention to detail she gave and the passion she has for her job came pouring through everything she did. Sonny was so friendly and helpful, even arranging to have my husband's cocktail order delivered to our room. Every single person we came in contact with was warm, friendly, and inviting. I didn't feel like I was staying at a hotel, but rather staying with friends and family. While we didn't use the fireplace in the downstairs living room (we definitely will next time!), we loved the proximity of the hotel to the Del where we explored and saw all the holiday decorations and festivities. If you want to be treated well (and like a real person), The Bower is the place to go. Ask for Mikaela- she'll make your stay an experience you'll never forget.

The best part about this property was the staff, they were inviting, helpful, and seemed to genuinely care about our stay. Macayla and Sean specifically assisted us on the two nights we stayed and I cannot say enough great things about their customer service. House keeping was also terrific, our room was very clean upon arrival and when we took a trip to the beach and requested service it was completed prior to our arrival back. The room itself was very nicely set up and the beds were comfortable. The rooftop bar had great drinks and service, as well as a few tasty items on their menu. Overall our stay went off without any issues and we had a great time.

This hotel has only been open for a few months, so everything was nice, new and fresh. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I’d love to know where they get their pillows from. It is located directly across from the Dell and the beach and within walking distance of several dining options, which was great. There was an issue in our room with the lighting, primarily in the bathroom, and it would flicker off and on throughout the day and night. I’m sure on paper, it checks all the boxes but honestly, overall this didn’t really feel like a five star hotel. It is definitely quiet and quaint and was great for what we needed it to be, but it didn’t feel like it had a lot of bells and whistles in our opinion to be viewed as a five star, even if it is on paper. However, would recommend overall.

We wanted to try a boutique hotel and chose The Bower because of its fantastic location. If you get a room on the front side of the hotel, beware because the road noise is so loud. We moved rooms the 2nd night, but had issues all night with the air going off and on because of a faulty patio door sensor. Beware if it rains because the hotel restaurant is fully uncovered and all of the seating is unusable because it is wet. The staff is really nice, but management needs to work out the kinks.

Overall great experience. House keeping could have been better, bed was made but no fresh towels were given. Staffing seemed to be shorthanded at times, however when they were not, they were very accommodating. Room service menu left little to be desired. Rooftop bar was a nighttime vibe. About a five minute walk from the beach, they have beach chairs and towels you can take, which is great! Hotel is clean and cozy. They have yummy complimentary coffee and danishes in the morning. The only down side is, it isn’t as welcoming when checking in. I got thrown off on where to check in. Also, probably not good for families with little kids, probably best for couples or an all adult stay.

Such a lovely well appointed boutique hotel. All the amenities are top notch and well thought out. The staff, especially Michaela and Danny went over and above to make our stay fun and comfortable.
