I don’t have any complaints about the stay we had here. It was clean and quiet and everyone was very nice that worked there. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool but it was clean and open. We did take our little dog with us, which was no charge for the first pet. They have a station for poop pick up yet some people don’t have the courtesy to use it. Not the hotels fault. The beds were decently comfortable and bedding was clean. I like that there is both a fridge and microwave in the room. Lots of outlets for charging items. We will definitely use this Red Roof Inn the next time we stay in Austin.

No wi-fi for the entire stay. Nothing but excuses for the reason why, just “it’s not working, sorry.”What kind of third rate motel is this?The staff looks unprofessional and burnt out. Only the maids were actually functional, pleasant and alert. Why don’t you put them in charge? Won’t ever stay here again.

The location of this hotel is good. A 50% renovation is due. I was disappointed from a long day to come in and notice the room had not been cleaned nor towels replaced. No Usb connections, so bring you electric plug in to use. The beds were made when we arrived, air conditioner barely ran, the extreme lights around the pool need to be toned down. Invest in new black out window covers to keep all outside lighting out.

My room smelled and was pretty dirty. Looked like what was mold in the bathtub and hair that was left from someone else. I had several stains on my sheets. The door to my room stuck bad and it was hard to shut/open. The tv also didn’t have any channels that you could watch besides the guide. Apparently service was cut off and had just turned back on. Needless to say I didn’t sleep well because of the lack of tv…which is what I usually fall asleep to. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else. You’ll thank me later

We turn the lights on and roches were running under the bed . The bathroom was disgusting and the room was super dirty. Walk down and check out 5 minutes after arriving and got another hotel down the road. The front desk was a little rude when told how dirty the room was . Also the smoke detector was disconnected and in bag on the floor. Worst hotel in Austin

The staff that checked us in were polite and friendly. We itched all night long only to realize there were bedbugs in our bed. We immediately showered and packed up and checked out. Ending our trip aburptly. The floors were filthy. I had to clean my feet again right after my shower just to put socks on. Never staying here again.

The room was dirty. The sheets were filthy. I had to go get my own sheets and changes the bed linens. Amanda (night shift) worker was pleasant and said she would let the manager know about the sheets and room. When I turned in my key the following morning, the front desk attendant was short. I asked if there was a note to the manager or anything she said no and asked was I trying to get a free room. I was mortified. I came to the hotel because I was my AC at home went out and I have severe asthma. Hotel was great for location and convenience. The AC did not work properly, it never got to a cool temperature and the room felt so humid and muggy. We called the front desk to see if that could provide us with a floor or desk fan for the night, and they said they do not have any on property. I would not stay here again, especially during the summer heat.

It took 25 minutes for us to check in because there was only one staff person working. Our bathroom light fixture had about 10 dead crickets in it and the lock in our room was broken. Parking was easy and it’s right off I-35 and pretty close to Barton Springs/Zilker Park. I would stay here if you want a slightly cheaper option and you’re only staying for one night.

After being told the wifi was down, I accepted the room because I didn't have another option. My room wasn't the king bed that I booked & the floor was completely saturated with water (Mopping I assume). After my employer notified me that I needed to relocate to have access to internet I asked the front desk to cancel. I was told that policy was I couldn't because I entered the room. I've traveled for the government for almost 30 years & never heard this before. She stated that she would refund the second day if I wanted to check out. I agreed to that with no other option. I was still charged for both days. My stay was only about an hour, primarily outside in the parking lot. OVerall, I don't think the property is horrible but it does have some issues, most of which I don't hold against them.

I arrived and there was no one at front desk I was tired and had to wait 15 min for someone after i knocked on doors looking for someone finally someone came out and was upset because I probably interrupted his break. The parking was hoping activity people in and out there were people talking all over the hallway. Carpet was dirty and bathroom needs update pillows were stained.

The room I was in was decent, I would have liked to stay, but a man kept trying to get into my room a total of three times. The second time he came back I saw him through the peep-hole and sure enough he tried my door again, then tried the other two rooms in front of mine. Once he “left” I went downstairs to tell the receptionist and she said she would send someone to walk the halls. I waited…I was freaking out worried for my life, when he came back a third time I about had it and knew this was an unsafe situation. I decided to record myself leaving the room and I got him on camera walking past my room again and he HID BY THE ELEVATOR pretending to be on his phone. Man is white, about 5’7 or 5’8” has a left lower forearm sleeve tattoo that’s black. Last seen wearing an orange shirt and bright blue shorts with white/blue shoes. I hope to god no one got hurt, I reported him twice to the lady at the desk with the dyed red hair. I was so scared leaving that hotel, I wish I could have stayed but my life is more important to me.

I"ve used hotels.com for over a year and it has been awesome! All reservations and room choices have been perfect and accurate. So has Red Roof Inn up until this visit...requested room type was not given at check-in and the staff had no empathy.

Excellent property- BEST beds! Mr. Marroquin was FABULOUS getting me early check in. Amanda at the front desk was EXCELLENT and provided bottled water. TWO enthusiastic thumbs up!!

It took 25 minutes for us to check in because there was only one staff person working. Our bathroom light fixture had about 10 dead crickets in it and the lock in our room was broken. Parking was easy and it’s right off I-35 and pretty close to Barton Springs/Zilker Park. I would stay here if you want a slightly cheaper option and you’re only staying for one night.

Great hotel in south Austin. Very convenient to catch an Uber from since it’s right next to the freeway. My one complaint is that we got the room right around the corner from the front desk, which despite the lack of food there, was pretty dang loud in the morning and evening as everyone walked by. Otherwise it was a comfortable stay!

I booked this hotel last minute for a conference, knowing it was a 2-star spot, so I kept my expectations in check. If you just need a place to crash, it does the job. The photos online make it look a bit nicer than it actually is, and it could definitely use some remodeling. That said, my room and the property were clean, and the basics were covered—safe, microwave, mini fridge, etc. One downside is the lack of breakfast—just hot water for tea or coffee in the lobby. A little something like fruit or bagels would’ve been nice. If you’re driving, there are decent food spots nearby, but nothing is within walking distance because of the highway. However, the #7 bus stops on the backside of the hotel, runs every 15-20 minutes, and only costs $1.25—super clutch if you don’t want to spend on Uber. I stayed for three days and didn’t get room service once, which was disappointing. Overall, if I were traveling solo, I’d stay here again. But if you’re with family or your lady… might want to look elsewhere! 😂

Ok place to stay for a quick busy day stop. Bed was fluffy and comfortable. The bathroom is spacious and clean with a good hot shower. I do find Red Roof’s burgundy decor a little depressing. However, they do have a nice pool surrounded by trees. No breakfast or coffee station in the morning :(

Room was basically clean, you could see the mopping swirls across the floor like there was still something on the floor. Bed was comfortable, hot water in bathroom, marginal mold in the shower. Floors in lobby and elevator were sticky. We went up and down several times over a few hours and noticed this. The next morning when we left…still sticky.

TL;DR: The room was "clean", but rundown. Bathroom extremely inconvenient for women. Good luck getting your room in time to do anything the first day. It's a place to stay for cheap, but I will not be coming back next time. For one, I called at 1 PM on the drive up there asking if I could check in earlier when I get there. They asked what time, I said 2 PM, they said sure! Well, I get there at 2 PM, and the room isn't ready. That's okay, I'll wait. I leave to the store and come back at 3. Room STILL isn't ready. So, I asked if they could call me when it's ready. I give my #. At this point, I have to start getting ready for my event in the car. Finally at 3:45 I'm like, what's going on?? So, I go in and it's a completely different receptionist.. I never got a call, and the room was ready who knows how long.. Then we get in the elevator to the room and the room looks 0% like the picture AT ALL. Not as spacious. Mind, you I got the "Upgraded King Suite" and it was raggedy and a big bubble thing in the ceiling over the AC unit. Then I'm hearing scurrying/scratching in the night, turns out the walls are paper thin and we deducted that I'm hearing a dog pacing around. Also, the bathroom, there is NO counter, just sink. So good luck ladies if you're trying to do your makeup. Had to do it in the dimly lit room in front of the full size mirror.
