Appreciate the staff for quickly giving me a another room when I complained about the street noise. Overall, it is a reasonably good place to stay. Not fancy but clean. Enough space for parking. While it’s next to a major road, there isn’t a lot of people traffic.

The AC works well. However, the rooms are very basic. No dresser/hanger. No toiletries, only a piece of soap bar. Dirty floors, and the room smells very badly. Overall, poor amenities. I did not want to write the negatives, but I think it will help the management. The hotel management can improve this situation if they are willing to with no or a very few fixes/costs.

Second time staying here. Decent place for the price. There are always people hanging around by the cars at night which gets me a little nervous. As long as you don't bother them, they won't bother you. If you're an anxious person, this place aint for you!

Well, its not in the best condition on the outside. the area looked a little sketchy, but it was quiet. Clearly, they are renovating so the lobby was used as storage area for new refrigerators and microwaves. the first thing we were greeted to was a man lying on the ground outside of a vehicle, apparently so drunk he had passed out right there in the parking lot. The driver was also very intoxicated. There was another person sleeping in a car in a car in the parking lot. The room was comfortable. The bed was great and super comfy. Rooms look redone. Probably wouldn't stay here again.

There was no iron or blow dryer. Mattress was just on top of a board so it slid all over the place. Tv was crooked on the wall and it smelled like smoke even though it said mom smoking.

Like it’s advertised, a no frills hotel and the price was right. It was clean, quiet & convenient. Walking Distance to the Savemart Center where we were going for a concert. No coffee, and no closet. We would stay there again.

The shower's curtain was too high, so it floods the entire bathroom. The bathroom door was not safely attached and it was wet in the bottom from previous flooding. The toilet seat was lose.

The room was very cramped, fridge was not plugged (so not cold when we got there) in but did work eventually, but otherwise the room was fine. Microwave worked. Beds were pretty comfortable and shower worked fine.

So mad about my stay. Lady said that i needed to wait for my deposit until room was checked and then 10 mins later said my towel was a little dirty so that they normally would keep deposit. I am so frustrated about that my towel was not a little dirty .and I can’t believe how they are are over a towel that could be washed. Makes me so upset and not want to ever to use hotels.com again and I use every weekend. I will definitely not go back to hotel or refer anyone.

Here’s the revised review: I had an extremely disappointing stay at this hotel. I specifically booked a room with two beds, as we were two people traveling together. However, upon check-in, we were given a room with only one bed. When we raised this issue with the front desk, they reassigned us to another room, but the new room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke, which made it impossible to stay in. After returning to the front desk yet again, we were told there were no other rooms with two beds available. In the end, we were forced to stay in a single-bed room, which meant one of us had no proper place to rest. This completely ruined our stay. The lack of attention to detail, poor room conditions, and inability to resolve our problem were unacceptable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free experience.

ThI location is good because it’s right across save mart. However, the hotel would benefit from working on its exterior and also updating some stuff in rooms. For one night, it was fine.

As a commercial traveler we have over 3000 nights spent in hotels. Most of the other reviews provided for University Inn are accurate. THE GOOD: The bed sheets were fresh and the mattress firm with no sagged out spots. The blanket – comforter was just right for Fresno’s climate. The shower stall was clean. The floors were clean. The towels were dingy gray but clean. Parking was 50 feet from our room’s door. THE BAD: This building is probably 60 years old. All the door hinges are worn out and the doors sag so badly they won’t latch properly. We had to “throw our shoulder” into our room’s door to get it open. Apparently, the housekeepers think this perfectly normal so they don’t bother to report it. The bathroom door in our room would not latch at all. There is severe mildew damage around the shower floor pan because the shower curtain is too short, so water splashes on the sheet rock walls. All the baseboards appear to be not wiped clean since they were installed. THE UGLY: Everything you touch is sticky with years of hand oil and dust. The two rock hard wooden chairs provided are not the right height for the tiny table. THEIR INTERNET WENT DOWN 2 HOURS AFTER WE ARRIVED AND WAS DOWN FOR 2 DAYS. CONCLUSION: If you are looking for lower cost Hampton Inn this is NOT it. If you are looking for a Motel 6 alternate this place may be tolerable.

As a commercial traveler we have over 3000 nights spent in hotels. Most of the other reviews provided for University Inn are accurate. THE GOOD: The bed sheets were fresh and the mattress firm with no sagged out spots. The blanket – comforter was just right for Fresno’s climate. The shower stall was clean. The floors were clean.
