Fairfield Inn & Suites Jackson

The entire hotel is under renovation. Might not have booked if I had known. Breakfast options because of this were not like listed. Lol was closed, exercise room was closed. Mini shop was closed. No vending machines. Staff was very nice, but with construction crew workinginbthe AM it was chaotic, Ave noisy. Hopefully they'll finish soon because the location is convenient. But this situation should have been disclosed beforehand.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Jackson at the fairfield. Sasha was amazing at the desk and helping with any questions we had. The rooms were clean and everything was stocked well in the room. Parking was easy and well lit. Now here are the drawbacks....the coffee was like lukewarm water and was hardly ever stocked with cups or creamer. The "hot breakfast" was a joke. The sausage was hard and the eggs were not great. That was it. Only scrambled eggs and dry, hard sausage. On the last day i found out there was supposed to be a waffle maker but it was never out or available for use. Please dont advertise something and fail that miserably.

Under some reconstructing , pool and fitness room was not accessible other than that nothing to complain about. Hot breakfast if you choose if not cold was available along with a variety of other things. Room was clean bed comfy.

We decided to stay at the hotel while visiting family. We could’ve stayed with family but wanted to give out two small children a chance to swim so we opted to stay at the hotel. Once checked in, everyone got changed into their swimsuits. As soon as we made it to the pool, they were closing it because one of the underwater lamps had popped out. When asked about a time frame for maintenance to be performed so that we might go swimming, I was not given an answer. So it was basically a giant waste of money and I’ll got was two very disappointed children.

Pool was small and chilly

Upon arrival, they tried to tell me that I couldn't be accommodated and that they had been trying to get hotel.com to reach me. They indicated they had rooms unsuitable for booking and were overbooked. However, I had booked and paid for at least 1 of the rooms almost 2 months in advance. Additionally, the hotel had my information on file and could have reached out directly. The rooms they did give me were the reverse of what I had requested. The confirmed bookings were for a king suite and a handicapped King room. What Fairfield Jackson provided were a handicapped King suite and a regular king room. This completely threw off what I needed and requested. Additionally, the elevator was out of service, the telephone system did not work room to room, which in the case of the handicapped issue was more than a little disconcerting. Also, many of the cable channels did not work. Not due to cable system negotiations. As for the exterior, the Hotel was being worked on and the parking lot was strewn with debris. I nearly popped a tire on a piece of wood with nails sticking out that was just lying in the parking space. It was unobservable and having arrived after dark, it could have been a real issue. Lastly, they did not take any automobile information and allowed vehicles, without handicapped stickers or license plates to park in the handicapped parking spaces. Overall this was a major disappointment for when I first stayed in the hotel just a few months earlier.

I thought the hotel must be closed, because how could you run a business under these conditions? It was, in fact, open, but when we got to our room, we realized the hotel should have closed until renovations were complete. The room was dank, musty, and smelly. There was rust and mold in the bathroom. The sheets were dingy, the carpets dirty, and the furniture stained. It was gross. We couldn’t stay there, but the guy at the front desk said he wasn’t authorized to give me a refund. He gave me his manager’s email, so I’m waiting to see what she says.

When your hotel is under construction, you should post that on your reservation website so customers have a heads up. If I had known the conditions of your hotel, I definitely wouldn't have stayed there.

Clean rooms, great breakfast

Took our Granddaughter for the day to swim since no school day. Cleanliness had a lot to be desired! Crumbs in sofa bed...counters, door knobs, doors etc not cleaned nor wiped down. Refridgerator not cleaned out and had old condiments stuck to the shelves. Pool area not real clean..doors, windows and towel bins not washed down in quite some time. Front desk training new staff....it's certainly challenging in this day and age but the cleanliness is a MUST when staying away from home.

The hotel has been updated, carpet walls and what not look good. Lighting is very dim throughout the hotel. Breakfast wasn’t worth it but in check with the price. What was unacceptable was the cleanliness of the shower curtain. I should have said something as soon as I walked in my room the when the musty/moldy smell hit me. I had to close my bathroom door the whole stay with the exhaust fan on and could still smell it. I’m allergic to mold so this was particularly annoying for me.

When we checked in the hotel was under construction on the outside. They were painting. The fumes were in the hotel. The room itself was dirty. There were bugs in the room also. The pool and gym were also closed. None of this was mentioned when booking the hotel. I’m glad they issued a refund.

From start to finish this hotel was awful. The outside looks like it is about to be condemned with the exception of the freshly paved parking lot. Everyone working looks miserable. We checked in and get to our room and it is just yuck. The door doesn’t actually latch unless you pull the handle really hard or push on the door. The entire room just smells like mildew and cat urine. The shower had not been cleaned and the toiletries were empty. The ceiling in the bathroom was covered in mold. We will never stay here again. Absolutely disgusting

The staff was nice. Both rooms had dirty towels and clothes from previous stays. One room the door was very hard to get open and it was not easy. The bathroom tub took forever to drain so we were up all night trying to shower because we had to wait for the drain.

This hotel is tired. It is in desperate need of a facelift. Staff was all pleasant, but the property was not up to Marriott’s standards. Hair and dust behind the bathroom doors, dust on the coffee maker in the room, just overall rather icky.

My bedding had blood on it....not mine. The tub had soap scum in the bottom. And, I discovered before leaving that the screen in the window was bent and cracked open, and the secure window had been left open. Panicked, I checked my stuff. Thankfully nothing was missing. Overall, I won't be staying there again.

Nothing fancy but I knew that ahead of time but our room was beside the ice machine and on the other side, the pool. Busy area so lots of noise. Breakfast was very limited. Started at 7am. Were out of items (bacon and eggs) before 8. Not a lot of selection. One type of muffin, no bread for toast. Nothing major and of course it’s free so can’t complain too much but other places have much better options.

The room it self was fine. Beds were somewhat comfortable but very squeaky with any type of movement. The pool was kinda grimy and most of the time there wasn’t any staff around. We didn’t need anything from them, just an observation. It was a fine stay for the price but the pool was pretty disappointing.

The second issue was that there were a group of men who were bbq like it was a tailgate. They brought their own grill and everything. It looked unsettling especially since the hotel next door was torn down and the wreckage was still there.

All staff were very friendly and very helpful. The property is worn ie elevator floor, hallway carpeting, front entrance roof is in disrepair covered in plastic sheets. Directly Next door is an abandoned property with graffiti on it. No alarm clock in the room. The room was very very clean. However, the desk chair seat was very worn. HVAC in the room was excellent.

I was given the keys to my room, went up, unlocked the door and opened it to an occupied room and very angry guests whose privacy I had completely just violated at no fault of my own. I was given a vacant hotel room, which is what should have happened the first time, and was told I had to reach out to hotels.com if I wanted anything at all done for me after the inconvenience, invasion of privacy and confrontation with a complete stranger. Hotels.com told me that if I wanted anything done, I had to leave the property. At 10pm. In a city I don’t know. After driving and working all day. By an employee that frankly was not very kind to me. And the next morning there was a live cockroach in my fridge in the room with my leftovers in it. Oh but hotels.com did give me $25 onekey cash so, at least there’s that.

They allowed me to come in hors before regular time to check in.

The staff was exceptional front office to the best cook for breakfast. The oatmeal bar is amazing and healthier choices for breakfast!

Staff and location were excellent..

Hotel was clean and cozy. I like a soft mattress and they had a nice one! The staff was welcoming and so very helpful. The dryer was down for guest laundry, but they let us use their's. Morning breakfast has hot and cold options. Close to highway access and shopping. Will definitely stay here again.

Nice people and nice to stay great location

The hotel looks great online, but in person it’s in a dirty area, limited dining options and there was hair located on one of the beds despite the fact it was supposed to be clean sheets. It doesn’t appear the linens were changed on one of the beds. Overall, the bed was comfortable and the rest of the room was clean, but it also had a damp feel to it, even with the air on! One and done! I wouldn’t recommend.

All good til this am prior to leaving . We got downstairs for breakfast. No Juice....No Muffins...Eggs and Bacon we got the last. Told the Main Desk....they came over. Supposedly fixed juice ( nope orange tinted water) No Eggs or Bacon put out . Very disappointed but at least it was our last day not our first.
