Lantern Lodge Asheville Biltmore Village

The elevator was out of order, and we were on the third floor, so had to drag 2 large suitcases up the steps which wasn't ideal. We had heard that it had been out for awhile so that was a little concerning. The pool was also closed while we were there for an issue of some sort. Along with the hot tub. The condo itself was very nice, lots of space and all the amenities of home. Fully stocked kitchen was nice. It just needed another mirror in the bedroom so more than one person can get ready at a time. Definitely would go back there.

They were kind enough to upgrade us to a suite because the AC was out in our original building. Rooms are dated but clean. Could use some touch ups but well stocked. Disappointed to find pool and hot tub closed as that was a primary reason for booking here

Loved this! Convenient to just about everything in Asheville! Great prices. Clean. Comfortable beds. Love the on-site bar and fire pit, good size pool, nice jacuzzi! Will definitely stay here again!

Loved stating here. Clean, quiet and safe. Perfectly located between Biltmore and Downtown. They put out a newsletter with all the weekend activities and a list of local breweries and wineries with address and hours. The hot tub was done for repairs, so it would have been nice to have been told that at check in or through email ahead of time. Staff was awesome and restaurant was reasonably priced.

Clean newer property (despite the exterior that looks like it may be dated). Easy check in. Parking spaces are TIGHT. If you get in after 10:00 pm they will be full and you’ll have to park in a lower level auxiliary lot and walk up the hill. Not an issue unless you have a mobility issue. Furnishings were new and clean. Nice kitchens and bath.

I liked the location of the facility. It was very convenient to downtown Ashville. The unit was spacious but needed some touching up on the paint and some minor damages needed to be fixed. The pool itself was nice but there were major repairs underway with the hot tub, so that wasnt available. Overall, I was a comfortable stay.

Overall, a very nice place to stay. It would have been appreciated if property management found a pool for residents to use while their pool was closed. Swimming after a fun day of touring is always nice.

The unit itself was nice in the inside, but the walls must’ve been very thin. I could easily hear people talking outside in the corridor, by the parking lot, and on the balcony above me. Parking was also tight, it seemed full by 7pm. You’d need to park in a less convenient lot.

Restaurant below average. Stole that the elevator was out. Had to walk three flights with luggage. But suite was very nice!

We loved the location. That's the only good thing I can say about this property. The cost is very high, parking is limited, property is tired and in need of updating - there are many stains and marks on the walls. (The stains next to the toilet are disturbing.) Front desk staff is not friendly, checking in was not a pleasant experience. Cleanliness was my biggest complaint: The bathroom floor was sticky. I wanted to take bath and when I reached to turn on the water, I saw a bunch of hair on the rim of the tub and filth near the drain and up about 10 inches. The whole tub was scummy. When we went to the office, the woman actually asked if we wanted it cleaned. Really? No apology at all. It was cleaned when we returned at the end of the day - and it was not much better than it was before. Also, there is NO maid service. If you want fresh towels, you have to ask for them. Oh, and there are constant police sirens and helicopters flying overhead. It made me wonder how safe the area is. So, this is not a place I would recommend. I say avoid it.

This is a great place to stay in Asheville. It is close to the sites and lots of great dining options. The staff is nice and the house keeping is great (new towels daily). The suite was very clean.

This could be a great place to stay. The condo layout is great. The cleanliness and maintenance is what was lacking. We stayed in room 413. The carpet needs to be replaced, food wrappers under the bed, dried food on the kitchen floor and in the fridge, floor didn’t look to be swept or vacuumed well, fridge was filthy, and dried fluids on the walls in the dining area. This place has so much potential but I would not stay there again

Bathrooms could have been cleaner. There was lots of hair on the floor and shower. Jacuzzi jets are filled with mold making the tub unusable. Otherwise the room was nice and I would stay here again. Staff was very pleasant!

Staff was super friendly and helpful when we had a TV issue. This place has so much potential and the room spaces are great. Exactly what we were looking for. However, it was not clean! Coffee grounds were left in coffee maker, the kitchen cabinets and table were sticky and dirty. There were no rags or soap to wipe it down even if we wanted to. Hall bathrooms floors were sticky and hair was found in shower. It was obvious someone came in to empty trash but didn’t empty all of the cans. Took a towel or two but didn’t replace. No bar soap in the hall bath but there was in master. Just lack of attention to details and a big top to bottom clean!

The couch was uncomfortable. Bathroom: dirty (hairs in tub and on floor), the shower head had a leak (sprayed to the side), the bathtub drain was slow causing it to fill during a shower. Staff were friendly. Location was superb.

Carpets had countless stains, walls marked, furniture chipped, various lights didn’t work, mattress was like a half pipe; the whole place had a tired and grimy feel about it, like it hasn’t received a dime of investment in the last 15 years - it was also very dirty

How clean it was

The property was a real home from home. The decor was slightly tired, but the apartment had everything we needed, was clean and comfortable. Very reasonably priced. The restaurant was really good. The only downside was we could hear the neighbours upstairs moving around which was a little noisy at times.

The staff were all super nice and helpful and the stay was overall pleasant enough. The condos there are nice enough but the furnishings in the unit we stayed in on this trip were quite worn, the couch in particular was very worn, and would not have been easy to accommodate the four people the place says it would since no more than one person could comfortably sit on the couch without leaning towards the middle. The place is modern and up to date, but the set up in the kitchen made it impossible to access the drawer in the icemaker and there was a chunk of ice frozen in it that was stopping the ice from dumping. The dryer only worked when I pressed hard against a spot in the door while pressing start. That was a little disappointing since being able to do laundry was a big reason we chose this place and I was too nervous the dryer wouldn’t work so only washed a small load of clothes. The caulking along the front of the shower was black and rubbed off on the bath mat. The kitchen did not have some basic items, like a baking sheet, that I would have expected it to have. We had to sleep with the television on in the bedroom because the noise from the room above us was jarring while we were trying to sleep. They weren’t being loud. The units just are poorly soundproofed. The location is good, the units are nice and decently maintained, and I was happy with it for the price I paid on this trip, but I would have been disappointed had I paid more for it.

The unit was very spacious and clean. Definitely beats being in a small hotel room. The balcony was a plus and the property is very close to the center of town and the Biltmore. Everything was in great shape. The value was much better than being in a hotel. Would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay. The room is very large and comfortable.

We stayed here for 3 nights in early July in order to explore the mountains of western NC. The suite was spacious, well apportioned, and comfortable. Check in and check out were easy. I was super impressed with the price considering we got a 2 bedroom suite that was over 1000 square feet! Would definitely stay here again. Fairly clean, large beautiful rooms, and fully stocked with kitchenware!

It’s in a safe area, but because it’s near the hospital, you will hear ambulance sirens. Also, you will hear your neighbors. Very thin walls and floors.

We liked that the suite was roomy with a complete kitchen and separate walk-in shower and tub. However, they were some things gs we didn't like. There was no water or ice available from the refrigerator, the jetted tub did not work, and the TV in the bedroom was not connected to the cable. This property is older so the furnishings were older, but over all it was OK for the price.

Fully furnished, spacious, clean. Would recommend a top floor unit though. Hearing footsteps above your head 24/7 got a little annoying.

Such wonderful spacious rooms. Friendly staff. Location is great - right next to the Biltmore. We’ve stayed on property before for double the money and 1/4 of the room. We will stay here from now on.

This was our third stay at The Residences at Biltmore, and I was a bit disappointed. The walls in the master bedroom need painting, and the balcony windows were very dirty. During our stay, there was a rainstorm, and when we returned to our room, we found water all over the floor by the door and the kitchen table. I tried calling the "24-hour" front desk, but there was no answer. I left a message but never received a return call. The next morning, I went to the front desk in person. The staff member didn’t seem very concerned and said she would send maintenance to check the door. I'm not sure if anyone ever came.

Over all the accommodation was great except AC was not working. The receptionist had told us that she would call or contact us when the room was ready about 4;00pm check-in time, however, it was forgotten, no call , no text.

Our stay considered of my wife and I with our 3 children and it was fantastic! The residence was very clean, quiet and the staff was amazing! The thermostat stopped working while we were there and within minutes it calling the concierge, someone was there to assist and make sure we were comfortable. It was a minor issue that didn't affect us entirely, but we were thoroughly satisfied with both our stay.

It was a beautiful property. We were from out of state and got into town at 11am, and requested early check in the evening prior as we had a pregnant person with complications on the reservation. We waited on the property for an hour. The front desk lady said the earliest she could do was 4pm very rudely. We sat there waiting for a bit then went to eat someplace else as the restaurant was closed when we arrived even though the site says lunch is offered because they were short staffed. We came back and waited some more- numerous people were given their rooms. She was aware we had been waiting, and didn’t even bother to check until we went up yet again to ask- then claims yes it’s ready. One of the other desk clerks was very sweet but she had gone somewhere else leaving us with this rude, jerky one. Given our circumstances, and being the holidays, it would’ve been nice to have someone be at least a bit sympathetic if she couldn’t be accommodating which I could understand. As an out of town pregnant woman, I was very displeased. Our kitchen sink leaked all onto the floor and overflew from the bottom cabinet, and we didn’t even know until it was all outside and we almost slipped on it. Then we cleaned everything up and dried it all and put a container to catch it underneath. Whether the sink was used or not, it dripped continuously. For a place to relax and break up a journey and rest our head it was a disaster! I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it despite the great centr

I ve stayed here before and had no issues. On this stay the staff including Mgr were unresponsive to requests that one TV barely worked and the other not at all. Mgr did not return my call / voicemail regarding a credit for the problem. The others at front desk referred me to him. Poor customer service

We recently stayed here for a girl’s trip and it was perfect for us. It was only a few minutes from the Biltmore Estate front gate and it felt like a home away from home. The front desk was very helpful will all of our questions and everything looked just like the pictures.

This was a perfect stay. These are more like apartments and there was so much space! The location was perfect for our stay as it is less than a10 minute drive to both the Biltmore and downtown which were the focuses of our three day stay. Rooms were nice, beds comfortable, Excellent value. Would stay again, and I have recommended to others.

It was a very clean two bedroom 2 Bathroom Pl. with a full kitchen at a great price. The location couldn’t be beat and the place was quiet and well-maintained. The restaurant was so so but there are so many options in Asheville that it doesn’t matter. 10/10 I would go there again!

Very good dinner

The room was nice (carpet could use some deep cleaning) but the staff must really hate their job! No smiles from any of the employees at the office. Bar & restaurant was supposed to be open on Saturday night (and that was our plan for dinner & drinks) but it was closed! Would have been good if their website mentioned that.

This is the 3rd or 4th time I've stayed at this property and I love the property itself. It is very close to Biltmore Estate and downtown, a thoroughly nice stay. We did try the restaurant, and while the young woman who served us was delightful, the food was really not good. They definitely need to try harder.
