The hotel was lovely and super close to the Shea theatre where we had tickets for DWTS. Only issue is there is no parking on site so you have to drive a bit to park the car.

Hotel and staff were great. My only problem was the parking the parking is not on site and is to be paid for not ideal for returning to the hotel after a football game that ended very late having to walk to the hotel was not ideal

My one huge complaint about my stay is that there was not any parking available for our stay. We had to park down the street in a parking garage and walk a couple blocks to the hotel and the parking cost us $20 to stay for the day and over night. There should be some paid for parking available or at least have our parking validated.

The hotel was well located and included a good breakfast. The room was big and comfortable. I think the hotel may need some minor maintenance, as towel holding rail was broken. But just minor things. I didn’t liked the parking. There is none on the hotel and you have to go few blocks to park

Overall, our stay was good — the hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well-kept. The breakfast was great, and every staff member we interacted with during our four-day stay was friendly and professional… except for the experience when we first arrived. We got to the hotel about an hour before check-in because we were heading to a football game. The woman behind the front desk told us we’d have to wait the hour, which I understood, but when I asked to use the bathroom to get changed, her attitude was rude and dismissive. She spoke under her breath about me, and when I asked what she said, she got defensive and told me she “wasn’t talking to me.” She also told me they “don’t check bags,” but I could “just leave them there,” which didn’t feel secure or professional. She wasn’t in uniform or wearing a name tag and seemed more like she was hanging out than working. Thankfully, we never saw her again, and everyone else at the hotel was wonderful. Still, that first encounter really set a bad tone for the start of our trip.

Super clean property and room!!! The suites with the separated bedroom are a great change of pace compared to a traditional studio like room. Everything worked and was in great shape. Shower was great, talk about high water pressure. Bed was comfy and clean. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

The hotel was nice. The room was a good size. Our room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke when we arrived as well as when we came back later on that night despite the hotel being smoke-free. A couple upgrades would be good - the towel rack kept falling apart any time we hung a towel on it. Overall a good stay though.

In my hotel room, there was the smell of smoke that lingered from the previous guests who stayed there, prior to Mar. 29. The smoke smell lasted for the whole 3 days that we were there and may still be there after we left. This is unacceptable, as smoking is not allowed in the hotel. They need to do a better job and eliminating the awful smoke smell in the hotel rooms.

Broken door. Could see into the room from the hallway with the door shut because the door hinges had been bent due to someone trying to force the door open previously. Because of this the door slammed loudly into the door frame and had to be lifted into place. I’m sort of speechless that they find this acceptable. Stains on the curtains. Shower head wall flange was loose, leaving a dirty, moldy hole in the wall. Multiple light fixture and towel racks are falling off the wall. Chair cushions are dirty and stained. All in all it was rather uncomfortable because you just feel like “man, if these things are allowed to pass inspection, how clean are these sheets? How clean is this shower. How safe is the free breakfast?” One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a hotel.

I loved it overall. The first room I received, there were stains on the floor, on top of the toilet, and inside the blanket. The bedroom also did not have blackout curtains. I switched rooms and that was extremely comfortable and clean. It’s very convenient to have a fridge and microwave as well. Overall, if I go back to Buffalo, I would go back to this hotel.

We were in town for a comedy show, and this hotel was in walking distance of the theater. The woman who checked us in was so nice and helpful. The room was great until we walked into the bathroom. There was major water damage and a big hole in the ceiling in the shower. I felt the people above us would be joining me any second. I didn’t want to even think about the mold. We were in walking distance to every type of eatery and brewery one could want, and parking rates at the area garages were reasonable. Overall, it was a nice trip and stay. Assuming the damage is on the list of repairs, I would stay here again if attending another show at Shea’s.

I thought I booked a room with 2 queen beds and I was told that this property only has King beds plus a pullout couch. The pullout couch was very uncomfortable. Otherwise, everything was clean, staff was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and the room was clean.

Great location for the theater district and access to bars. We walked down to the waterfront as well. Rooms were spacious with great blackout blinds. Nice included breakfast as well. Unfortunately our room was missing some baseboard and the water for the shower was just warm, never got hot. Lots of tv channels too!

The hotel is not sound proofed and I could hear the tram passing by and the music from the bars near by. Other thank that, the hotel was clean, breakfast was great, gym was nice, staff was great. I would stay again, perhaps request an east facing room.

The room was luxurious, spacious and clean. The hot breakfast was basic but tasty. I was assigned a second floor room facing the street. I could hear people talking, and streetcars ran until after midnight and before 7AM so I didn't have a great sleep. The hotel did not appear to be anywhere near full so I'm surprised the front desk staff did this.

The televisions in our room did not function/turn on. All the window blinds were remote controlled or operated by a switch which neither worked as well. Also the light in the main room did not work. One of our "clean" towels was stained and unusable. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful during check-in but no one was there during check-out to address our issues other than someone who was busy cleaning who just kept repeating "put the key cards in the bin". We will not be staying here again and would recommend anyone looking at this as an option to go elsewhere.

Very good location, staff was friendly and helpful and a pretty substantial breakfast offering which remained decently stocked even nearing the end of service time. Room was large and comfortable. Hotel itself seems a bit aged , but suited all of our needs for a family gathering and was appropriate for the price we paid.

Front desk staff (BW) resolved a problem (with window shades that didn't work) in a friendly and humorous way that helped reduce tension on arrival. We changed rooms - actually to a nicer room - and felt very satisfied.

Overall the room was good. The two negative comments are the room shades were electronic. They were in the down position and they would not go up. Parking was a public garage and a block and a half away and we paid for it. Location in the theater district was nice.

We loved our stay. All personnel were friendly, professional, and helpful. The lady at the desk, BW was extremely helpful and friendly. She even took us outside to give us directions to show us where we needed to go. We also appreciated the friendly service provided during breakfast by Heather. She kept the breakfast food amply supplied and clean.

Good hotel facilities and location and a good stay in general. However, the hotel charged an additional charge to my credit card, approx £200 and a month later I have yet to receive a refund or even a response despite getting in touch so be wary of that.

The man and woman working at the front desk were so pleasant to work with. They were very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. Parking is not onsite, but the neighborhood seemed safe.

My reservation was cancelled because they were “sold out” even though I had booked the hotel room months ago. They offered to put me up at a different hotel at a discounted rate (~$25 less). Problem was it was farther away from the concert venue which meant I would have to find transportation or drive myself. In the end they made it right by comping the room but I am still very disappointed.

From meeting Fabhia at front desk to the girl who brought fresh coffee this morning this staff continues to impress. I can’t wait to return. Great job folks and thanks for the chocolate milk at breakfast.

It was very loud with the tram which runs from 630am to midnight also parking situation is hard walking 5 min in the cold. The hotel would be perfect and I am aware they can't change where they are located. We will continue to come back when we need to go downtown for anything

Great location in Theatre District downtown Buffalo. Lots of restaurants, bars. Metro stop right on the corner. Good breakfast included. Great staff. Room was actually a suite so very spacious. Bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up. Top of the line sheets. I'd stay here again!

It was a large room, with a nice king size bed. I liked that it had a fridge and microwave. I also liked the location in the theater district, very convenient.

The train service outside the hotel was very convenient to get to the arena. The staff was friendly & the room was clean..a nice touch to have pillows embroidered with FIRM or SOFT. Great complimentary breakfast

Very good location, staff was friendly and helpful and a pretty substantial breakfast offering which remained decently stocked even nearing the end of service time. Room was large and comfortable. Hotel itself seems a bit aged , but suited all of our needs for a family gathering and was appropriate for the price we paid.

Location was great for going to the Keybank Centre. The rooms were so spacious with a separate living room, very clean and having all restaurants around was very convenient. I would stay here again.

The hotel was nice and in a very nice location, close to what we wanted to do. I was disappointed on my floor the hallway smelt bad. The front desk staff was not friendly or greeting. Breakfast was disappointing as well. The pancake machine was down. The man doing breakfast I asked for not French Vanilla creamer he states they were out until their delivery comes on Monday. They were out of cream cheese so he said, they had no yogurt. I went back down when breakfast was over to get a cup of coffee and there was a nice full bottle of French Vanilla Creamer. Breakfast is one of the highlights for me when I choose hotels so I was very disappointed to say the least. Other than that my stay was good.

Overall, our stay was good — the hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well-kept. The breakfast was great, and every staff member we interacted with during our four-day stay was friendly and professional… except for the experience when we first arrived. We got to the hotel about an hour before check-in because we were heading to a football game. The woman behind the front desk told us we’d have to wait the hour, which I understood, but when I asked to use the bathroom to get changed, her attitude was rude and dismissive. She spoke under her breath about me, and when I asked what she said, she got defensive and told me she “wasn’t talking to me.” She also told me they “don’t check bags,” but I could “just leave them there,” which didn’t feel secure or professional. She wasn’t in uniform or wearing a name tag and seemed more like she was hanging out than working. Thankfully, we never saw her again, and everyone else at the hotel was wonderful. Still, that first encounter really set a bad tone for the start of our trip.

Not having parking available is a huge inconvenience. For check out I had to pull over and stand the car close to the hotel entrance while I went upstairs to get my luggage. I was seconds away from being towed! I went back down just in time. On one occasion hot breakfast was not available due to an issue. Free breakfast and fre parking are the main reason I book with Holiday Inn Express. Room was nice and clean, staff was friendly.

It was 73° when I walked into the room and the refrigerator did not work at all. I was able to turn it down a little bit when we came back that evening is still only 71° in there. The pillows sucked. They were very very flat. Customer service was great and I like that there was a restaurant right there in the hotel but the breakfast in the morning was very limited and they ran out of everything very quickly and didn’t refill anything.

Hotel staff was a little confused about our reservation but were able to figure it out. Overall it is a fine hotel. However, they do not properly refrigerate their breakfast items - specifically dairy like cream cheese, yogurt and milk. The cream cheese sits out on the counter for hours and the temp of the milk fridge is way too high to keep foods safe enough for consumption. Food poisoning waiting to happen.

The room itself was clean the breakfast was okay the parking was horrible how can you have your customers Park two blocks away it makes no sense there's a parking lot right across the street why not rent some spots for your customers to park over there just doesn't make sense I will not stay here ever again.

Loved how big our room was and the layout. Had everything we needed. Conveniently located near the KeyBank Center for our concert. Very walkable. The only thing I didn’t like was that the A/C kept kicking on and off all night instead of the fan just staying on. It kept waking me up. The bed and pillows were super comfy though.
