The room my husband & I reserved for one night was very disappointing. We always reserve a room at a Holiday Inn Express because we know what kind of room, bed, & good breakfast we’re going to get. Last night was a disappointment. First, The air conditioning didn’t work. Second, one side of the mattress had an area that completely engulfed my husband. And, lastly the floor/tile in front of the toilet was coming up when you sat on the stool. In my opinion, this room should not have been rented out. There were too many things that didn’t work. We were very disappointed.

The room was clean and bed was comfortable but it was a little stuffy when we first got into it. Once we got the air conditioning going it was fine. We were greeted with fresh cookies and lemonade in the lobby. The hotel is under reconstruction so some things were not available. The elevator was not working. We were first given a room on the 2nd floor but when he said the elevator was out and had to take the stairs I asked for a room on the first floor as we are not able to carry our luggage up the stairs. He kindly found us a room on the first floor. The breakfast had a lot to choose from but some of it was dried out. For a very small town it was the best place to stay.

This hotel seemed to have a lot of problems. To start, the swimming pool has been broken for over a year, yet they still advertise as having one. The breakfast was below average, not too hot and tasted a little off. Staff was friendly, room and common areas were clean.
