We were uninformed when we booked the room that the hotel was getting a new roof. We have stayed here multiple times and always loved the property! This time however we were not told they were putting on a new roof. The sign said when we arrived they only worked 8-6 on the roof. The roofers worked until almost 8 pm and then we were rudely awoke by the pounding of 25 guys with nail guns at 7:15 am. The hotel itself and staff are always great but they should have told us when we booked about the noise level for this trip. We were not pleased AND they put us on the 4th floor right under the roof.

The Terrible rating is really on using Expedia. Expedia is a big hassle to use them when things change unexpectedly. Very difficult to talk to anyone about a change. The savings is not worth the headaches. Yes i could have bought the insurance, but then it eats into the savings, so why use them?. I will never use Expedia again! i would rather pay full price for a hotel with the knowledge of I can simply call the hotel and rearrange things easily.

The front desk wasn't familiar with the Hilton honors app when I wanted to use that for my room key. Secondly, the breakfast buffet was not worth $17. I would probably have breakfast elsewhere if I stayed here again.
