I like that Comfort Suites Harrison is always clean, quite and smells nice. The rooms are cleaned daily, toilets are cleaned and perfumed and beds are made beautifully. Breakfast is good. My children loved that we could make our waffles. There is self service laundry on the last floor. $4 to wash and $4 to dry which is quite practical and handy especially for families with young children. Area is quite, not much to see but you can uber or front desk can call you a cab to take you anywhere. Staff is courteous and the room rates are fair. I will definitely stay here again if I have a chance.

The property was smelling badly. The chemicals they used to wash the floors are disaster. Shower sinks are leaking. Breakfast included, but basically there is no breakfast just waffles, coffee and some yoghurt. When we try to talk to the receptionist and the manager to change our booking, their reaction was.- there is nothing wrong with our hotel and we cannot change your booking! The rooms are old and dirty the mattresses are very inconvenient. AC turns on and off by itself.

Booked for 5. Had to ask for bedding for the pull out couch and make that ourselves. Room smelled horrible. Hallways smelled bad too. Lots of stains in room. Cracks in walls. Wouldn’t stay there again.

This hotel needs a lot of work. Visible molds in the shower room. Shampoo/conditioner hanging on the wall was empty. Poorly cleaned rooms and facilities. The hotel smells damp and moldy over all. Carpets, beds, sofa beds, lobby chairs are run down and dirty. Hand marks on mirror. I stayed 2 days and had 2 rooms. Never again.

I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the facility, with countless signs stating “this is a 100% smoke free facility” I have doubts that is enforced as the lobby smelt like stale cigarettes and as if my Stay couldn’t get worse, it did, I get up to floor 3 and the hallway smells of a high school locker room. When I opened the door to my room, I was almost knocked back by the stench of marijuana. The smell was so pungent that I was close to choking on the smell alone… when I woke up the next morning it felt like I had strep throat… all in all terrible experience.

Room was spacious and clean. Everything was in good repair. Staff was polite and clearly working hard. BUT-- the curtains are only decorative. The sheers hanging on the windows don't give any privacy and the drapes hanging on wither side are just for show and there is NOTHING to cover the window. So, everyone walking past the room in the parking lot can see right in all night long. So, either bring a curtain rod and something to hang, or insist on an upper level room unless you want to be the entertainment for everyone walking/driving past.

We had high expectations for this hotel, we were visiting NYC for about a week. Our first impressions of the place, however, was not the best. Firstly, the AC in our floor’s hallway seemed to have been broken because it was really hot compared to the lobby. Upon entering our room, everything seemed fine and clean until we settled in. One of the lamps did not work, but the main issue was the bathroom. There was a spot by the shower that was stained in brown and you could see the paint peeling. Later on that night, we found out it was because the shower curtain rod was broken and so the curtain would always slide to the center and causing water to get everywhere. This became an issue as we got a call from the front desk saying that the water was leaking into the room below us. In addition, the shower head was dirty and had mold or brown stuff on it. The door to the bathroom was also very obnoxiously squeaky so when someone uses the bathroom at night, it was very disrupting. Lastly, another issue was when we had asked for an extra blanket for the sofa bed, we unfolded it and noticed there were spots or black specks on it. So we had to ask for a new one because it felt uncomfortable to sleep with a blanket that felt unclean. Overall, we ended up getting used to it since we were so tired from walking all day in the city. The breakfast was alright and had a few different options each day. Not sure if we would stay here again because of so many issues we had to just deal with.

No issues with the property or staff. The continental breakfast offered was decent. My only issue is the fact they charged me twice for the booking. They charged me the day before arriving at the hotel and when I got there they charged me again. Per the office staff their reason for doing so was to make sure I went through with the hotel reservation. I wish we would have been made aware of that prior to booking.

We booked this hotel for a short layover, arriving around 5 AM absolutely exhausted. Instead of a place to rest and recover, we got one of the most unprofessional and uncomfortable experiences I’ve ever had at a hotel. First—and most shockingly—an employee used a key to enter our room while we were sleeping, well before the check-out time. No knocking, no explanation. Just opened the door and came in. Completely unacceptable and a huge violation of our privacy and sense of safety. To make matters worse, when we checked out immediately after that and asked if they could hold our luggage for just a couple of hours before our next connection, Moustapha flat-out refused. No apology, no attempt to be helpful—just a cold, “No.” He was the rudest. For a hotel that likely gets many guests in transit, you’d think they’d have even the most basic understanding of hospitality and guest care. They don’t. Untrustworthy staff, zero courtesy, and absolutely no sense of professional hospitality. If you’re considering staying here for a layover, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

#1,I've stayed at Comfort Suites for years & never had to pay for parking. #2 the man at the front desk was reluctant in helping with the check in process, & then 30 min later when we told him the bathroom was flooded. Then made us come to the lobby to get a different room key that was on the floor we just came from. Just an overall poor, disappointing experience. Staying at Choice Hotels will not be my first choice anymore.

I drove all the way from NH and for there around 8pm with my 5 year old for the young man at the desk to tell me my reservation was canceled meanwhile I was still receiving emails from Expedia stating they were ready for my check in. All hotels were sold out and the ones available were $700 . I was left to drive to CT and stay in a hotel there.

The hotel was very clean and tidy, the house keeping crew was very polite and seems very well trained. I like to thanks the front desk clerks for their professionalism and their service oriented personalities. They are really good what they are doing. Only thing I may suggest is to include a better quality pull out bed and the bed should be ready for guests to use.

Staff was professional and courteous. The hotel was easy to navigate and parking was easily manageable. Overall I had an amazing experience and will definitely be returning soon for another stay!

The hotel is very clean and the staff is very nice and helpful, the area where the property is located at is in a bad neighborhood and we didn’t feel safe walking to dinner or anywhere else

The property was smelling badly. The chemicals they used to wash the floors are disaster. Shower sinks are leaking. Breakfast included, but basically there is no breakfast just waffles, coffee and some yoghurt. When we try to talk to the receptionist and the manager to change our booking, their reaction was.- there is nothing wrong with our hotel and we cannot change your booking! The rooms are old and dirty the mattresses are very inconvenient. AC turns on and off by itself.

Room was ok and clean. AC was noisy. Room didn't get cleaned up. Breakfast area was really dirty, trash cans overflowing, not enough food available, very basic food, eggs with cheese were cold, no milk for the cereal, tables and floor dirty, breakfast area -50 out 100

Super convenient to Prudential, only about a 10 minute drive. Nice staff and clean rooms. The complimentary breakfast was amazing. Definitely recommend staying here.

Clean room, but fridge would leak every morning due to auto defrost. Also didn't like that I had to pay for parking daily. Never had to do that before but also never stayed in that city before. Convient location.

Single word Terrible!!! People may get attracted to his hotel because of its prime location but should say the maintenance of the rooms are horrible to say the least. I have never seen a more horrible hotel in my life. The staff don’t even smile or greet at you and least helpful. The breakfast is served only at 7:00 am. Before that or after there is not even coffee or water that is available. Even the house keeping, they don’t maintain unless you ask them to. During the stay an old man from another room had come to me. He was equally disappointed with the overall experience. People planning to book at this hotel please beware..

At check-in, you sign a form acknowledging that you know that parking is going to cost $11/day, and that this is "clearly stated on all booking sites." Maybe if so many people are surprised by the parking fee that a form is required, then the hotel could do a better job of being clear when they "clearly state" the fee, rather than making it a small print item buried in the description. The location is a little gritty, but, it's greater Newark, what are you going to do. If you need to stay in that area (as I did), I'm not sure there would be a more genteel option. I had a bit of a wait to check in, but the desk staff was friendly and competent. Windows do not open. Not even a crack. My room had a lot of traffic noise. There was some hallway noise earlier on--there were a lot of groups of people staying there--but they were adequately quiet later on. The bed was comfortable, Cleanliness was acceptable, and I felt safe inside the room.
