Geberal stay was good. The check in process with Walt was great. He was patient and attentive to customer in front of me as well as myself and the person after me from what i heard. The gym didnt have any function treadmills or stationary bike but the dumbbells, bench, and cable machine worked well. Overall it was a decent experience.

We stayed on the 4th floor. The hallway was so hot, there was no AC working. The 4th floor was suppose to be pet free but a room close to us walked out with a large dog. The elevators were in bad shape. Plus they charge 15.00 a day to park and use a rusty bicycle. No hotel like that should be charging to park. Just another way to rip someone off. This use to be a Hampton Inn and Suites. They basically just changed the name and did not remodel

The staff were extra friendly and helpful. Loved the free use of a beach wagon and bike. The beach was a convenient walk and the pool was wonderful. I would definitely stay here again.

The Alice Hotel has limited food options but there are plenty around and the location is ideal. 5 mins walk distance to the beach, but you need to bring your umbrellas. They provide bicycles and you can ride them in the golf course around the corner. I really recommend it. The bed were comfortable.

The staff were friendly. The room was not very clean. The floor was sandy and there was someone’s bracelet left on the floor of the room when we got there. There was a broken floor panel that we kept tripping over and the shower didn’t have a curtain. Easy walk to the beach across the street but would not stay here again.

Too expensive for what you receive. Great location, and kind staff, but amenities seem like they aren’t cleaned or taken care of properly. ENTIRE ceiling in room covered in mold. Told staff at check out and they didn’t even seem phased by the feedback. Came here a few times when they first opened, and loved our stay. Otherwise can tell it has gone downhill a lot, and quickly. Smelled like weed on every floor.

Roaches found in one room. The second room they moved me to there was fecal matter in the toilet. I requested to check out and the staff was not helpful at all. Ended up finally getting it cancelled and booking at doubletree for a bit more but well worth it.

After falling asleep, I woke up in the middle of the night to the smell of old urine in my bed. I couldn’t sleep with the stench and had to move to the couch that night. When I investigated the bed in the morning I found the mattress pad had not been changed and had urine stains. I reported to the front desk before breakfast. The housekeeping supervisor apologized that she wasn’t on duty the day before for her normal inspections and would discuss with her staff.

Staff was friendly. The only negative was breakfast. Coffee was not very hot. Limited choices that we paid extra for and tasted like packaged food heated up in a microwave and put on a plate. Canned fruit cocktail. So, if you stay, get breakfast elsewhere.

The room overall was roomy and comfortable. The bed was excellent just like the mattress we have at home. The tiolet needs to be upgraded because it was made for a small child, VERY low. The water didn't drain very well in sink and tub. The TV was difficult to operate and i couldn't connect my laptop to their network. I think we were in a dead spot. Went to lobby and could get on their network. Staff said it was probably my laptop but if it was i wouldn't have been able to access in lobby.

Excellent hotel but two big buts: 1. Extremely noisy beds. Any movement and it's squeaking and screeching like an old tractor. Thet must have some old sprint mattresses or something or very flimsy metal frames 2. Barking does cost money, I'll be there only $10 a day.

This hotel had the worst beds I ever slept on. After the first night, we switched rooms, but the bed in that room was just as bad. Both me and my wife woke up exhausted and sore each morning. I wish we left and booked another hotel. Whoever is running this hotel has no clue how to. Save your money.

I understand having a policy around early check in. I called the hotel prior to arriving and no one answered so I went ahead and drove there when I got into town. It was earlier than 4, so I understand not allowing me to check into my room. The lobby was completely empty, so I just wanted to sit at a table in the lobby and work. I was told, no I cannot stay at the hotel or I’d be charged a fee. Seems a little much and I wasn’t super happy about that. There are plenty of other places to stay and next time I’m in town I’ll be looking elsewhere. The pillows and beds could use slight upgrades:)

Hotel Alice is a mixed bag. They do not participate in VIP access. They don’t answer the phone for anything other than reservations and that’s through a 3rd party. Very few staff members on the property. That being said, the rooms are clean and comfortable as are the common areas. Location to the beach is great. I’d recommend staying if you are fairly self sufficient.

Check in was really slow. There was a long line waiting to be checked in and only one person working the desk trying to handle the line and people coming down with questions about their room. He was however professional and doing the best he could.

Hotel is conveniently located near Atlantic Beach. Rooms and common areas are OK but could use renovations. Check in took a long time and staff are stretched too thin. $15 resort fee was not disclosed prior to checking in.

Our stay was pleasant and relaxing. We spent time at the pool, which was pleasant. The short walk to the beach was much worth the quiet relaxation. There were few others, unlike some of the crowded areas. Location is close to shops and restaurants. A hidden little jewel.

Can't beat the location and price. Hotel staff are helpful and friendly. Beach is just steps away. Plenty of space in the lobby/bar to gather. Family friendly with bikes to use to get around the island.

Had to checkout early because of the hurricane and unfortunately we did not receive a refund for the night we had to cancel because we didn’t leave before 11 AM the day prior (pretty upset about this…) Bar closed early every night, breakfast for a fee?! Pool was decent but the pool chairs had algae on them.

Excellent stay! The only concern was that it was advertised that a complimentary breakfast was included and it was not as it was when we stayed 2 years ago. This was a huge inconvenience.

Nice hotel, not ocean front tho, breakfast is ala cart (did not use), bar is small but nice. Only negative feature is the bathroom shower could use a major upgrade woth the shower head. King size pillows are awesome, and room it self was very nice.

Cute, Art Deco hotel convenient to the beach, shopping, and the Crystal Coast Country Club. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. However, plan on paying $10 for parking that is not included in your room or other fees. And an additional hold on your credit card however you cannot bill your bar bill to your room. This is a "renovated Hampton Inn". Sinks, countertops, bathroom fixtures, elevators, mattresses are original to the previous hotel. Pool is lovely. New flooring in rooms is an improvement. However staff did not fully sweep the sand from between the bed and the window. There are a few things on the website. They stated: "...Our guests can enjoy our on-site bar and bistro featuring some of your favorites, so you can always start the day on the right note or return after a long day to unwind to our signature cocktails and shareable food." While there is a full bar, there is no shareable food; just pretzels or wasabi peas. On the Hoffman Bar & Bistro website page, they state: "Located in the lobby of our hotel, Hoffman\'s Bar and Bistro serves refreshing and delicious cocktails and small bites..." There are no small bites. They do however serve breakfast in the morning. The hotel is also billed as a luxury hotel, however the towels and rooms and mattresses are all original to the previous Hampton Inn.

The fridge kept leaking and the toilet sometimes wouldn’t flush and charging ports weren’t that great but other than that everything was nice! Location was great, walking distance to the beach. The Fort Macon and Aquarium down the road. Wished it offered free breakfast

Staff was friendly. The only negative was breakfast. Coffee was not very hot. Limited choices that we paid extra for and tasted like packaged food heated up in a microwave and put on a plate. Canned fruit cocktail. So, if you stay, get breakfast elsewhere.

Staff were very kind and helpful. Cmon areas are nicely updated although there has been some wear and tear on the pool seating. The main issue was that we were promised free breakfast and the first morning the staff were sick and the second morning the kitchen equipment was sick.This tells me they are understaffed or the staff don’t have the initiative to solve problems. They could’ve just put out pastries, fruit, yogurt and cereal with nothing hot if the oven wasn’t working. We had to drive to get breakfast but that might not work for everyone.

Enjoyed this hotel a year ago, so tried it again. More “nickel and dime” charges than necessary this time around. Morning service in the bistro was basically nonexistent. We needed up going through a drive-thru instead. Will try somewhere else next year.

Hotel was great! Staff amazing. Had a few issues with getting our room serviced. Had to keep asking front desk for clean towels. Told front desk Tuesday evening we would be gone (with our dog) for at least 14 hours on Wednesday starting at 5:30am and to service our room. Even had tag on door stating so. Return Wednesday evening and our room was STILL not serviced. Finally serviced on Thursday with fresh sheets and towels. Breakfast is not as expected for $7. Two tiny waffles and a 1/2 apple or 2 tiny egg bites with instant oatmeal. Better off going to diner or Waffle house for the $, quantity, and quality. Very pet friendly with lots of grassy area for dog as well as doggie waste bags. Overall with the misshaps with room servicing, I would still recommend. Beach is within walking distance!

Beautiful bar, but it was never open. My bathroom sink was dirty when i checked in, but staff was quick to clean it. Do not go to breakfast there, $10 for oatmeal and a Del Monte fruit cup is excessive. The Alice has always been my favorite, but it wasnt the same experience this time.

I just want to be constructive with my review. I was at this property for four nights. In that time the room was not serviced by housekeeping one time in those four days. On the one day a bunch of other rooms were all being clean but when they were cleaned a lot of the dirt was swept out into the hallway and it stayed that way for more than a day. Also most times that we would go by the desk, no one was there. The room itself was fine. I know it's off season, but I just think it could have been better.
