Staff superbly friendly. Place very clean. But our room did not have the bedding for the pull out couch and so my sister had to go down and get it since place was understaffed. Pool was extremely cold and pool room needs a clock!!!

Stayed one night on a Sunday, because we didn’t want to drive home in the dark after a three-day walking pilgrimage from the Lake is the Blessed Sacrament to the shrine of the North American Martyrs. Room was quiet, bed was comfortable. Pool was good for swimming laps (entire pool is also 4-1/2 ft deep). Fridge in room was not very cold but the desk staff kindly put our food items and ice pack into a service fridge/freezer for us. Breakfast was excellent. We will definitely stay here again after next year’s pilgrimage!

If you ever wanted to have the immersive experience of staying in an active construction site, stay here. The building filthy and torn up from being under renovation. The constant banging reminded me of the story my father told me about going through POW training in the Navy, where they stuffed him in a box and banged on it as a type of torture. I am astonished that Comfort Inn would even allow guests to stay here.

The hotel, overall, was clean, updated and in a good location. Inside and outside were very quiet. Our room was adequate, but a little small. Bathroom was very small. Breakfast had a lot of choices, but honestly (quality wise) was an overall disappointment. The staff was of the HIGHEST quality for friendliness and service. The pool was clean, and we actually had it all to ourselves when we went down. For what we paid, it was a GREAT choice that provided a great stay.

They are undergoing construction, but the breakfast and lobby areas are fine. I like the pool, but do not understand why a pool without a lifeguard is only open during certain hours. The sign says it’s open from 7 am to 11 pm. The staff says it’s 8am to 10 pm. Key cards don’t open the door, so people can only go in if staff lets them in. I like to swim laps early , so that was annoying to me.

The hotel is under renovation, but our room on the 3rd floor was brand spanking new! Very comfortable. The breakfast was actually good and the attendant was a wonderful lady. When going to check in, at 2:45pm we were told that our room was not ready and that we had to come back at 3:00. 15 minutes later, the front desk person said our room wasn't ready, but she could give us another room. Seems a little nutty that she made us wait for 15 minutes.

Stayed the night for early flight out of Albany. Room was spacious! Parking not all that convenient. We had a great room at the end on the 4th floor. Could use a table in the “tv” sofa section. I would stay again. Super close to airport.

For some reason after staying here for years, the heat in our room just couldn’t be regulated. We couldn’t sleep well either night. Strangely, we would set it to be comfortable as we laid in the bed, but if we stood up it was too cold. I don’t understand. Same with regulating the water temperature in the shower. Otherwise all was fine just as usual.

It’s more of experience I witnessed at front desk. The front desk person gave a room key to a guy and took his word for it that I was his room. That gave off an uncomfortable feeling in regards to safety. I get it you have a lot of things to do and responsibilities. I feel just pulling up his name quickly and checking would be mandatory. He was checking me in asked for my card and license 3 times because he was trying to do 3 things at once.

I spend over 100 nights p/yr in hotels. One of the best hot/cold free breakfasts I've had. Newly remodeled, great value for the price. Very nice staff.

I booked the room in April. The front desk said they attempted to get ahold of me to let me know there were no rooms available the day of check in. Said they were sending me to another hotel in free of charge. We got there and they said the Clocktower said they would cover half. Huge miscommunication and inconvenience.

We were not given the room type that we reserved. Late in the evening, water started dripping from the ceiling onto the couch-so we had to get dressed, repack, and move rooms. I tried calling the front desk but no answer. When I walked down there she was on a personal call and responded “ok” when I told her I tried to call. No apology or anything for all of our trouble.

Our travel plans changed a few times, and the front desk staff, particularly staff member Treasure, was very accommodating. He helped us sort things out and was helpful about our travel dilemma. The hotel and room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious.

We should have been informed that the property was having renovations done when we booked. We arrived before 3pm and the young lady on duty would not take care of check in until 3. I understand our rooms may not have been ready, but I don't see why she couldn't take care of the check in process. I have never stayed in a hotel where they wouldn't check you in before the room was ready. There wasn't even anyone at registration when we arrived, we waited 10 minutes for some one to greet us. I did not like the fact that there was no housekeeping after you check in unless you asked and we were not informed of that at check-in. I have never experienced that before. There were only 2 luggage carts and someone checked in and put them in their room so we didn't have any. I do want to say that the young lady that was at registration at check out was great. She went looking for carts for us and when she couldn't find them offered to carry our luggage down for us. I did not get her name unfortunately. Linda, the lady who was on duty for breakfast on Saturday morning was great. Introduced herself and told us if we needed anything to let her know.

We should have been informed that the property was having renovations done when we booked. We arrived before 3pm and the young lady on duty would not take care of check in until 3. I understand our rooms may not have been ready, but I don't see why she couldn't take care of the check in process. I have never stayed in a hotel where they wouldn't check you in before the room was ready. There wasn't even anyone at registration when we arrived, we waited 10 minutes for some one to greet us. I did not like the fact that there was no housekeeping after you check in unless you asked and we were not informed of that at check-in. I have never experienced that before. There were only 2 luggage carts and someone checked in and put them in their room so we didn't have any. I do want to say that the young lady that was at registration at check out was great. The property was nicely decorated and welcoming. It was close to the highway and to my final destination. There were enough options for gas, food, and other (Walgreens). Overall good location

Nice and convenient stay for us as we traveled to RPI to visit our son. Didn't get to try the breakfast but it smelled good.

This is convenient for us. An added bonus it that the State Police Academy lodges police there regularly to attending local training. I doubt if there is much crime there as a result! Very convenient to Highways 87 and 90 and shopping.

Every staff interaction was excellent... check-in (let me check in at 2:25 as that fit my busy weekend), 4am check-out (had just made a fresh pot of excellent coffee that I enjoyed while waiting for my ride to the airport) and the high energy, positive, cheery woman running around doing all sorts of work at the breakfast service.

Clean, comfortable rooms. Lots of amenities in the hotel. My teen loved the breakfast buffet! Staff was really friendly and nice touch to have warm soup available on a chilly day.

I spend over 100 nights p/yr in hotels. One of the best hot/cold free breakfasts I've had. Newly remodeled, great value for the price. Very nice staff.

Place was great! Well appointed room with benches & wardrobe closet. Breakfast was plentiful with yogurts, hot items like bacon and sausage. A good selection that even had a gluten free bagel! The only thing they need there is directional signs to the room, elevator, etc… I’d stay again.

Great FREE breakfast! Wide variety of breakfast options from coffee, juices, tea, then cereals, bagels & cream cheese, muffins, even glazed donuts and oat cranberry muffins, waffles, grapefruit, bananas, english muffins, scrambled eggs as well as scrambled eggs with peppers and onions! Salsa and cheese nearby for your eggs! I believe there was even turkey bacon as well. Im sure I missed a few but the breakfast area was 10/10 for a 3.5 star hotel like this.

Great hot breakfast and breakfast staff are great. However, the coffee is TERRIBLE. The warm drink stand in the lobby only has lukewarm terrible coffee. The tub water never stopped running, the drain ran slow and the shower curtains are a fabric kind that lets the water blow right through onto the floor. Toilets are really too low. Beds and pillows are awesome but what's up with these "fake duvets" with a comforter with two sheets on top and bottom that comes apart as you sleep?

I choose this hotel based on the fact they had a 4-5 million dollar upgrade,when CENTURY HOUSE bought it. I've never slept on such a lumpy mattress, surprising after such said reno. rooms had no luggage racks front desk said they removed them from all rooms. the chair they had in room was a basic dining chair, front desk said all they had. ( chairs by the elevator much better.) carpeting was dated and not the nicest. Parking was spotty , they seem to have a lot of conferences going on 1st floor . making parking not so close to front entrance. speaking of you had to use front door only for access.Bathroom was the very clean , like new. problem no counter space ( oversized sink hanging from wall) no towel bars, no door hooks. The biggest issue was the anti-scald bath handle control was hooked up wrong so if you move handle to cold it was scalding hot, ouch.( lawsuit waiting to happen ) no coffee cups and both this and microwave not plugged in, not easy to get to plugs. and if you wanted any type of room service you have to ask ahead, no info on anything about room or hotel in room. and want a ice machine , front desk said scattered on each floor no signs. would I recommend, not at all.better service in area for that price

The hotel had nice helpful staff. The room was very nice, clean and spacious. The breakfast was good, staff was wonderful. They had access to coffee and water/tea drinks all day long If there was anything that could use improvement it would be signage to direct you to elevators.
