Great hotel for a business trip, room has a table and booth seating perfect for working. Bed were huge and very comfortable. The gym is great for a little morning work out before meetings. The restaurant on the top floor was delicious as was breakfast, perfect selection of items.

Nous avons séjourné ce week-end au Standard Hotel et nous en sommes extrêmement déçus. En résumé : vous pouvez dormir dans une jolie chambre, mais oubliez complètement l’idée de manger sur place ou de bénéficier du moindre service digne d’un hôtel de ce standing. Dîner au restaurant “rooftop” : une expérience désastreuse. Lors du check-in, on nous a annoncé qu’aucune réservation n’était possible car ce n'etait n Pas necesaire. Pourtant, une fois sur place, impossible d'obtenir une table pour boire un verre ou diner malgré un lieu quasiment vide. Nous avons dû insister lourdement pour finalement être acceptés, mais uniquement à condition de libérer la table au bout d’une heure. Le moment a été très desagreable. Du jamais vu pour un restaurant présenté comme « incontournable ». Petit-déjeuner : encore pire. Pour éviter un second désagrément, nous avons tenté de réserver le petit-déjeuner la veille. Impossible, soi-disant qu'il n'est pas necesaire de réserver. Résultat : 20 minutes d’attente dans une file interminable avant d’abandonner et quitter l’hôtel sans même pouvoir manger. Inacceptable pour un établissement de cette catégorie. En conclusion, cet hôtel devrait sérieusement revoir ses services et le respect accordé à ses clients. Pour ma part, je ne recommande absolument pas.

This is a 4-5 star hotel that is just working out some kinks. Beautiful building, very clean, incredibly friendly staff and some A+ features; the shower was one of the nicest I’ve used and the room had comfy robes and a very reasonably priced mini bar. The lobby bar was mostly empty but very nice and had a super friendly bar tender. Only complaints were that the AC basically didn’t work. Complicated system and the staff didn’t seem to be able to figure it out either so the room was pretty warm the whole time. And the lighting system in the room is over-complicated and under-effective. The lights are connected on a switch system and everything is very dim. This was clunky and made things difficult in the bathroom. Had to put my face about a foot from the mirror to be able to see anything clearly. However, despite the small challenges it is a great value currently. With a couple improvements this could be an A+ stay

A new hotel that lives up to the Standard brand design wise. Service in the downstairs restaurant and front desk is excellent. I experienced some new hotel kinks (key cards not working when I arrived) and was turned away from the rooftop even though it was half empty which made me want to leave immediately. Too elitist for my liking.

I stayed there within a week of the hotel opening, and the greeting was great as was the room. However, the service in the restaurants was really slow and second rate. I think they were still trying to figure out what they were doing, and I expect it will improve a lot over time.

I have never seen before staff that is so helpfull and polite as the personal in this hotel. They offered us an upgrade and they even asked us if we would like to check out later than 12.00 without a charge. I have worked in a five star hotel and I have travel a little bit in my life but I have never seen this kindness from any other hotel staff.

They offered us an upgrade and they even asked us if we would like to check out later than 12.00 without a charge. I have worked in a five star hotel and I have travel a little bit in my life but I have never seen this kindness from any other hotel staff.

I rarely review hotels as I’m rubbish at remembering but really wanted to ensure I did for this one. Hotel is excellent, well priced and staff are amazing. Nothing is too much and just felt really well looked after the whole time. Highly recommend!

I stayed there within a week of the hotel opening, and the greeting was great as was the room. However, the service in the restaurants was really slow and second rate. I think they were still trying to figure out what they were doing, and I expect it will improve a lot over time.

We had the most wonderful stay. The room was beautiful, the bed comfy, the breakfast delicious, the breakfast team very thoughtful and friendly. We would also like to thank Joe, the Concierge, who was remarkably kind and helpful. We will be back for sure.

Lovely hotel with stylish rooms. About a 20/25 min walk to the centre but you can get the tram if needed. Quiet area with not much around it. Lovely room and very clean! Lighting in the room quite dark which can be annoying Would recommend.

A new hotel in the northern, rather unattractive part of Brussels. The only advantage of this area - the proximity of the northern station, which has a very good train connection to the airport. The rooms are clean, well equipped. Otherwise the hotel is overpriced, charges guests a hidden fee of 5€ (no idea what for). For this price there are better options in the city centre.

Great hotel for a business trip, room has a table and booth seating perfect for working. Bed were huge and very comfortable. The gym is great for a little morning work out before meetings. The restaurant on the top floor was delicious as was breakfast, perfect selection of items.

Nous avons séjourné ce week-end au Standard Hotel et nous en sommes extrêmement déçus. En résumé : vous pouvez dormir dans une jolie chambre, mais oubliez complètement l’idée de manger sur place ou de bénéficier du moindre service digne d’un hôtel de ce standing. Dîner au restaurant “rooftop” : une expérience désastreuse. Lors du check-in, on nous a annoncé qu’aucune réservation n’était possible car ce n'etait n Pas necesaire. Pourtant, une fois sur place, impossible d'obtenir une table pour boire un verre ou diner malgré un lieu quasiment vide. Nous avons dû insister lourdement pour finalement être acceptés, mais uniquement à condition de libérer la table au bout d’une heure. Le moment a été très desagreable. Du jamais vu pour un restaurant présenté comme « incontournable ». Petit-déjeuner : encore pire. Pour éviter un second désagrément, nous avons tenté de réserver le petit-déjeuner la veille. Impossible, soi-disant qu'il n'est pas necesaire de réserver. Résultat : 20 minutes d’attente dans une file interminable avant d’abandonner et quitter l’hôtel sans même pouvoir manger. Inacceptable pour un établissement de cette catégorie. En conclusion, cet hôtel devrait sérieusement revoir ses services et le respect accordé à ses clients. Pour ma part, je ne recommande absolument pas.

Terribly cheap and limited breakfast. One receptionist at check in, slow process. Not her fault. Coffee bag in room terrible quality. Shower gel couldn’t come out from pump. Lightning system in room not the best. Air con not appropriate to keep good temperature, bad sleet there for. Not for me sadly.

I had a lovely stay at The Standard Hotel Brussels. The hotel itself is beautiful, modern and stylish, with a really comfortable room and a great overall atmosphere. The location is also very convenient, as it’s just a short walk from Brussels-North (Gare du Nord), making it particularly easy to get to and from the hotel. A special mention has to go to Djo, who was absolutely superb. From the moment I arrived, he was incredibly helpful and attentive. He kindly carried my suitcase to and from the taxi and went above and beyond to make sure I was looked after. When I arrived, reception was rather slow as they were training another member of staff, but Djo noticed this and made sure the reception team tended to me promptly. His attentiveness and willingness to help genuinely made a difference to my experience. There were a couple of small areas that could be improved. Unfortunately, the mini fridge in my room wasn’t stocked, and I was only provided with one bottle of water. Given the standard of the hotel, I would have expected the fridge to be stocked or, at the very least, a little more complimentary water to be provided. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel is beautiful, modern and comfortable, the location is excellent, and the service from Djo was a particular highlight. He is a real asset to the hotel and deserves recognition for the way he looked after me.

Fantastic staff throughout and we felt very welcome. Our first room was not prepared (needed still to be cleaned) but staff immediarely managed the situation professionally and the ‘right’ room met all expecatations. The bar by the reception felt a bit empty throughout our stay (6 days) - we had expected more live but the drinks and burgers we had in the bar were amazing - and very friendly service. The neighbourhood felt at times a bit dodgy with some people being a bit intimidating where for a 5* hotel it would be comforting to have a hotel staff alert at the entrance to avoid unpleasant experiences.

A nice hotel outside of the city center. My sink was broken but I checked in late and didn’t find out until late at night. Staff was friendly. Not a lot around the hotel itself.
