Extended Stay America Suites - Lexington - Nicholasville Road

There were no utensils of any kind in the kitchen. Bed was jammed against the heating unit. Carpet dirty and torn. Light fixtures were bent with shades that were shabby. The second night we had to check out because there was no water accessible in any room due to a water pipe break the night before and no offer of even bottled water.

It should\'ve been a bigger hint when I pulled into the parking area and hit a huge pot hole nearly damagaing my rental cars tire,and went to the desk to be greeted with a friendly "what do you need" When i said I needed to be checked in, the intelligence-free desk attendant had NO idea how to check me in, she had to call her twin sister in order to get me checked in. Upon arrival to the room, the smoke detector was going off, the genius at the front desk suggested i get on a piece of furniture and dismantle the smoke detector myself.... I ended up switching rooms (THE NEXT DAY) because guess who didn\'t have the authority (or the know how) to switch rooms for me in order for me to get a restful nights sleep. Both rooms had a slightly musty quality to the air, and ended up getting sick because of it. Thank you for my final stay ever in this horrible hotel.

Would like to note this is very sketchy location and NOT good for kids. People outside on street and corners of the hotel all the time. Although the hotel says no smoking - the smoke is in the walls. The first two nights I had dreams of suffocating with smoke it was so bad. The doors don’t shut completely so you hear everything from the streets all night long - every car horn every argument - literally everything. There were marks on the walls that looked like snot or dip spit - the kitchen area was not clean at all. They say online that there’s breakfast but apparently that’s “coffee on a cart”. Front desk is not 24/7 so when we had random people knocking on the wall at midnight every night.. who you gunna call? The WiFi is not at all up to standards and you have to pay for it if you want anything for streaming or even FaceTiming.

Don’t fall for the good reviews on this property. We drove up from Nashville for a concert, checked in at 4:30pm, dropped our bags quickly at the room, and had to be at the concert at 5pm. Expedia stated there was free, hot breakfast. Was told by the man at the desk there would be muffins in the morning. Woke up early to find out there was only coffee provided. Signage states that it’s a non-smoking facility, yet our room rank of cigarettes so bad that I coughed the whole night. We arrived back from the concert at 1am to discover our bed sheets were not clean, instead gritty feeling and had heavy cigarette odor. We were too tired to dispute this at 2am, so I tossed and turned all night debating if I should sleep in my car. Next morning my boyfriend’s feet were black from walking on the filthy floor. All the towels were stale, wrinkled, some even stained, and smelled horribly of cigarettes. I had to take a shower with only one shampoo provided, no body wash. So my boyfriend could not even take a shower. Left with my hair wet because I refused to dry my hair with a dirty towel. Before we walked out I went to change out the trash receptacle, and found a pile of trash, coke bottles, etc. UNDER the trash bag. We were utterly disgusted. Witnessed a drug deal in the parking lot as we left, and to top it off the parking lot is full of pot holes. Asked for a refund and were told their manager is on vacation. I sure hope her hotel wasn’t as trashy as the one she runs!

It was a quick weekend for post graduate graduation. We needed to have a comfy place to crash, have food and hang out. The beds were fine, but everything else was less than desirable. I am well aware that this hotel is undergoing renovations, but there are definitely rooms you should not be occupied... Rooms right next to where renovations are taking place doesn’t allow for sleeping and rest, just seems like common sense to me and rooms that definitely haven’t had thorough cleanings in a long time and have a dirty moldy refrigerator. It was a non smoking facility, I even had to sign a paper stating that I understood it was a non smoking facility yet there were other guests (guessing regular guests, long term guests) as well as employees smoking on hotel grounds. Very disappointing.

This is very much a you get what you pay for. First it is not your typical extended stay, this is set up more like a Motel 6. It was a convenient location. The room itself is very outdated, furniture is very worn out, the stove had clear rust, the bathroom sink didn't drain properly, the tub had missing paint, the shower had water leaking into the outside of the bathtub. The walls are extremely thin, I could hear crying children and everyone's conversations next door. No breakfast, but coffee, oatmeal, and ONE small muffin. Regardless of this, I was in a tight situation so as a last minute place to stay it was worth it.

Property was fine, except for the lack of a handicapped ramp on the back side of the building.

Friendly checkin, elevator, spacious room with full size fridge. Bed was very comfortable, dark room, area quiet.

It was old and rundown. Dirty inside with the wall ceiling cracked and peeling, furniture old and outdated, carpet old and had a smell in the room. The outside was unsafe with old furniture pieces all strewn about and the stairs were blocked off by wooden crates. I guess you get what you pay for but I would not recommend this site. Fire alarm went off at 11:30 pm and was on for 20 minutes. Horrible, horrible.

we didnt have hot water on one of the days and the ac would make a very loud scraping sound everytime it started. staff went around testing fire alarms around 10am which is whatever but failed to let guest know so for about an hour and a half the fire alarms would go off every 20-30 seconds. definitely would not recommend this place

The property is filthy all-around homeless people were drinking and smoking outside the front office. The room was filthy sheets not even changed towels really stained the entire room was dirty. We check in and out within the 10 minutes. We're wondering if we will get refund from Expedia which is what we made the reservation with. We don't recommend it to anybody.

Parking area not real safe people out roaming parking lot all hours of the night. The kitchen was old the stove burners were rusted the refrigerator was rusted. The room had roaches and a terrible odor!! The staff was rude! The floors were sticky you had to wear shoes all the time unless in bed. The bathtub had black stains. Will never stay there again!!

The exterior and interior was worn, tired dirty and dated. The walkways and public area was filthy. The staff was nice! This property first needs soap and water, Repairs don't seem to be a priority. There seems to be no concern over the shabby condition of this hotel.

The condition of the room was disgusting. The floor was sticky and had visible dirt on it. The room smelled like cigarette smoke. The bathtub was brown with mildew and rust on it. I was appalled. I immediately packed everything back in my car and left.

Property looks run down, they over booked our rooms, people running in and out the rooms all night. The rooms inside are disgusting, sheets stained, who knows what on all the walls ceiling floor. Bathtub had mold. Dust everywhere. walked in to a puddle of water on the floor

I should have done more research. Staff were very friendly, but the entire place was disgusting. Smelled like decades of cigarette smoke. Bathroom door hinges so rusted I’m surprised the door was even operational. Bathtub didn’t have any hair in it, but was caked with dirt. All furniture missing pieces/chunks of wood. Refrigerator… scary. Inside light never went off and illuminated the dark because the seal was nonexistent. Oh.. and dirty and rusted. Cabinet doors missing. Woke up to the room reeking of weed from the AC sucking in air from whoever was outside smoking in front our window. Could have been that you could see light around the entire door as well. Much much more I could list. Best thing I can say is, I didn’t see any bugs and the sheets looked and smelled clean. Very glad about that. I will investigate much more on my next trip and not rely on “stars”. Someone was lying.

It looked like the floors had not been swept in months, the fridge was nasty, there was no shower curtain, and one of the beds was missing a blanket. The property was just filthy and housekeeping was non-existent.

This was the WORST hotel. Dirty, old, run down, and smelled awful! I would never stay here again or recommend it. We had to change rooms because of bedbugs and to top everything off, we had a fire in the hotel on our last morning. Totally disappointed in Extended Stay and Hotels.com for having a location this bad!

The non smoking room reeked of the cigarettes. There were spiders and ants and crumbs in the kitchen and the refrigerator leaked. The bed was uncomfortable and the mattress was stained underneath the cover. The edges of the room were dirty and there were cobwebs in the closet

Checking in was a breeze. Got in the room, the fridge had mold growing on the seal, the tv was broken had to be propped up with the bible. Burners on stove were dirty. People near us played loud music late into the night, banged on walls due to said noise, then started up the music before 8am. Found trash beside headboard/night stand. Hair on shower stall walls. Overall would not recommend.

I feel like if you have a dog they safe the worst rooms for pet owners. The furniture in room needed to be set at the curb, the fridge look like it had mold on the front, but closer look it was the paint comjng off, tub dripped, and the mattress was horrible. Having said that the rrom was linen cleaned and no bugs, and cheap

room was clean. toliet ran all night. mattress was lumpy and pillows too thin.

Nice place. Slightly challenging finding the lobby. Comfy bed. Surprisingly quiet for sleeping since it's next to a major thoroughfare. Noisy neighbors upon waking though.

Nice room for the price, only complaint is people are LOUD and the quiet time after 10 is obviously not enforced

My check in staff was wonderful, I think her name was Nacacia. Very polite and kind. The room was fine- with the exception of the smoke smell and burn marks on the sink. The bed was comfortable enough for a good nights rest.

The neighbors did not start arguing until about 2:30am and liked using their speaker phone outside my window. Everyone let their doors slam with no regard for noise and others. The hotel is literally right off the highway and the sound of vehicles can be heard all night as well. Ok for one night but not any more.

Room phone kept ringing randomly. Walls seem pretty thin between the rooms. You can hear a lot. Check in was easy and guy was helpful. Room was pretty cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for.

Building was quite old and run down. Sheets didn’t look very clean and carpet hadn't been vacuumed. Bed was quite comfortable-although pillows were worn out. Noisy with people hanging around outside our door and with traffic(door and windows didn’t block any noise.

The staff was awesome, very clean room, I had requested bottom room and I got it. They were equipped with anything you needed for kitchen appliances. There was nothing I didn’t like. Just couldn’t smoke. Lol

We have been coming here for years and honestly this will probably be the last visit you ever come here I have never felt more disrespected and unacknowledged in my life they were up at 7 8 in the morning doing construction right above my room the entire time we've been here and when I told them about it they didn't care said they wanted deadline didn't move me couldn't move me and my feelings were hurt they didn't even try to get the owner manager anything very hurt by this matter the rooms are not at all what they look like online. The carpets filthy disgusting the furniture a joke old raggedy very disappointed

Staff were nice, neighborhood was safe. The room was not fully clean when we checked in. It reeked of Marijuana when we checked in. There was a partial blunt left on the bedside table. Trash from the previous renter in the kitchen, obvious dirty walls and surfaces. When I reported it to the desk, they just looked at me with a blank stare. I asked for disinfectant wipes to clean it myself. He said he could give me a few of the ones they use for the office. I also reported this when I checked out, and they didnt offer to give a discount or anything. Simply said sorry and that I didnt need to do anything for check out.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room provided the comfort I needed for the trip I took. If I need to return to Lexington in the future for an extended period of time I will probably stay here.

Staff super friendly and efficient

Worst management experience ever. Very rude. Asked for paperwork on service dog then called the police to remove me from the property with no reason and couldn’t even tell me a reason.

I booked this room for my Father who came to town (he is gravely ill). They had any creature comforts noted in terms of linens, coffee maker, ground floor, parking in relation the room, etc. They allowed me to come a few minutes early to place a good basket and note in his room. Everyone took such care of him for the 6 days he was staying there. I would give them 10 stars...

We got to our room and it hadnt been cleaned.towels everywhere bed unmade.they were gonna give me sheets to clean room myself and she was busy checking people in.finally got another room at ten at night.

Checkin system down, no towels, no cups.

It had access to food and entertainment and nobody bothers you there.

We felt j safe, as the locals that live here were fighting. We chose to leave for our second night, for safety and much better location. Requested a 2nd or 3rd floor room but was put in lower back section where obviously super long stays. Even visiting the cubicle size lobby felt scary

I had booked this hotel and I should have read all of the reviews before booking. We pull up and notice a handful of homeless people hanging out in the parking lot. Which wouldnt be an issue however we noticed when getting out of our car that the place was used for permanent living for a lot of the rooms. All of the full time residents were all hanging outside smoking a wide range of stuff, drinking and partying. We walked into the office to check in…my card was declined because my bank marked it as a fraud charge…THANK GOD FOR MY BANK! I quickly excused myself outside to call my bank but instead my husband, my 18 year old son and I ran to our car which at this point my car was surrounded by these permanent residents. We left there as quickly as we came! The office was dirty and I got a glance at one of the rooms when walking by and it was filthy and smelly.

From check in to check out, my stay was very good. This location is a little older than the Extended Stay on Tates Creek road, but this location has an elevator. Nac checked me in and was very responsive throughout my stay. Location is great for everything in the Lexington area. Safe location and good parking. Great value for sure.

After driving for hours to get there as we were trying to go to sleep, someone started banging on our door and asking for someone a floor above us. Not much of a breakfast selection to choose from. Not kid friendly

Smelled like smoke and a lot of loitering

I rented two rooms. One for my husband/me and one for my daughter. Her plans changed and she was there only one night, but I paid for both in case she was able to come. Our room was ok, though I would not say it had a fully equipped kitchen AT. ALL.though the posters in the elevator indicate it\'s fully equipped.There were no dishes, utensils, pans, silverware. If you plan to stay thinking those will be there, they won\'t be. "Breakfast on the go" is instant oatmeal. When I saw my daughter\'s room I was very disappointed. The fronts on all the doors of the kitchenette were damaged..the veneer was missing for about 3 inches on each door. The dresser was beat up and dirty and she said there was hair in the shower. NOT what we wanted but it was late when she checked in and she was tired. I told the guy at the front desk that the room was nasty and said "I apologize". I don\'t usually give such a negative review, but I can tell you I won\'t ever be back to that hotel, or probably to any Extended Stay hotel.

Quick & easy check in. Breakfast was a grab & go & more like snack foods not breakfast foods. Had an issue with someone parking & taking 2 spots. Need was not so comfortable but it was fine for a short stay.

Breakfast is muffins and coffee, grab and go stuff. Room needed dusting, and floors swept. Spider was in the sink, the shower was ok. I would not stay here again. I am a health-care worker and needed to stay overnite close to my job. The evening office staff was nice when I checked in. No hairdryer in the room. Just nothing like the pictures on the website. They definitely need updated.

It was a nice hotel that was clean and comfortable. Free breakfast was advertised, however I wish it would have said grab and go breakfast. They had coffee, muffins, and oat bars as their free breakfast. The beds were comfy and the rooms were clean.

1- there’s no breakfast. 2- the room was stinky. 3- the bathroom was disgusting!! We had to use Walmart bathrooms because it was sticky and looks like it never been cleaned and disinfected. 4- at night, there was a lot of people knocking on the doors, loud noises, the area doesn’t seem safe….

I see outside of the door about 3 inches. Covered it up with a towel. Says breakfast but they only have protein bars, packaged oatmeal, and very limited coffee. Pickup is in the offense. Feels unsafe here.
