Best Western St. Louis Fairview Heights

Pool was closed for renovations , was told we were allowed to go next door and use theirs which at least was an option but next doors was not as nice. Wayer was extremely cold. Mini fridge in both of the rooms we booked did not evem cool our drinks. Did not ask for any changes as hotel was booked out, or probably would have JUST STAYED next door

The entire experience was not normal, the rooms were not the cleanest, there was something on the outlet that im not 100% sure if it was feces or not, the ice machine was not in service, the door frame was not fully attached to the wall, one of the rooms we reserved had a bunch of screws in it to hold it to the door, there was construction going on in the hotel at 7am, the pool was weird it looked clear but there was something yellow in the bottom of it. Upon checking in we had to request toilet paper because 1 room didnt have any and the other had less than half a roll which it was very thin. The breakfast that is advertised was there the first morning but the other 2 morning we were informed to go across the street to eat at the other hotel if we wanted a hot breakfast.

Hotel is under renovation when we went. Room was nice! Breakfast was typical small hotel food. Pool was ice cold!

Lots of construction & noise on the building exterior, no parking due to mounds of dirt everywhere. Small rooms, sad breakfast.

I was charged $25 because I came a couple hours early. Then i was charged a $50 security deposit, which I still haven't received back. Pool was out if order. Parking lot was a mess.

The room was clean, and there were decent options at breakfast. There was a variety of exercise equipment, all in good shape. The staff was polite & helpful. We were disappointed the pool wasn't open and the back-up pool, at a nearby hotel, wasn't functioning either.

We booked at Best Western. They were doing construction so we were sent to the hotel across the street. When we got there they had no kings left (not the end of the world but the pricing seemed off) I paid for the “$50 Deposit” which ended up being a nonrefundable fee. The pool was GROSS and i’m genuinely upset for the money I paid. Definitely not what was advertised. The “Free Breakfast” was okay. Small eating area- didn’t try it honestly.

Bugs killed 4, ice machine broken, pool listed as heated, heater broke, did not restock breakfast was there at 9am on Saturday was serving till 10am

Carpet was damp so it smelled like mildew and feet. It was supposed to be a coffee maker in room, it was not when ask still didn't get one. The pool was out , they said we can use the hotel across the street which it was cold and they didn't want to cut heat on in there. So we left early 😞

Pool was way over chlorinated. Eyes were burning and I didn’t even get in the pool. My kids did and their eyes were burning even after showering, using eye drops, and trying to wash them out even hours later. Wouldn’t let them get back in due to this. Also the water was very cold. A couple of times there was no water pressure in the bath. My son had to wait over an hour to take a shower due to this. Tried to go ask the front desk about it. Rang the bell twice and nobody ever came to the front desk. Breakfast food was okay for free but I’ve had much better free breakfasts at other hotels.

I travel a lot. The room was so dirty, the floor was dirty and smelled. The bathroom was also not cleaned properly, so it was so disgusting. I will never go there again, but it was the worst experience. The workers were also the worst. Don't go here.

There really isn't anything I liked about this property.The bathroom had a light with exposed wires, the t.v. had six channels, the room was outdated and needed a deep cleaning. The pool was realy, really gross. The breakfast was stale. I've stayed in a lot of places and this was one of the worst. I wish i had something nice to say, but there really wasn't anything.

Room was filthy. Food containers under the bed, carpet was grimy, bedding stained, hair everywhere, box springs and mattress stained, sheets didn't fit the beds, bed frame broken.

There was a noticeable musty smell in the room, almost like moldy. The bathroom was dirty, the floor of the shower was filthy and looked like it had a hole at one point that had been “repaired”, my husband almost fell through it. The walls were paper thin and you could hear everything. The bed wasn’t totally awful, it was a place to sleep for the night. Breakfast was the highlight: biscuits and sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, muffins, etc. I’d give it 2 stars for the breakfast

Staff was helpful but hotel itself was not nice at all very dirty dont stay here!!Hallways were very dirty stuff all over carpet like not vacuumed for days smoke alarm beeping needed new batteries!!Our room looked like had not been vacuumed for days!!Been painted and over sprayed all over pics old paint was not covered room not been wiped for weeks bathroom floor was so nasty and dirty beer caps on floor hair all over in corners!!Vent in air and bathroom had so much dust in it and frig didnt work!!Beds were ok but would never stay here again!!Give Best Western a bad name only paid 111.50$ for 2 nights and it was way to much!So bad we didnt stay 2 nd night tryed to get money back for 2nd night since we left so early and room had not been cleaned yet so should of been able to get $ back but told us no so left anyways hotel was not a good choice at all dont stay here!!Went to NHRA drag races is why we stayed here but NEVER again!!!

I stay here often. It seems each stay progessively gets worse. They are doing renovations on the lobby area but they really need to do renovations on the actual rooms. Our room had black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. Our TV didn’t work. The hallways are gross. The last time I was here, the elevator had an inspection posting that was expired by over a year so it hadn’t been inspected when it should be.

Someone's dirty bra and Night dress was hanging in the bathroom, bathroom baseboards were dirty and spiderweb was in the corners in the bathroom.

The carpet in the halls was stained and despiretly needed to be cleaned, the same with my room. For $100/night I expected to have a clean room.

Pros - the staff was kind and very helpful, even when they weren't sure they could help. For the most part, the room was clean and comfortable. Cons - the pool was closed (the pool is why we booked a hotel instead of staying with family), amenities listed included a fridge and microwave which were not in the room, although the room was clean there were towels left on the back of the bathroom door so we had to request more towels and toilet paper (beds were made and bathroom was clean, just not restocked). Would I stay here again? Maybe. It's definitely a facility in need of repair or remodel. For example, the bathroom door opened in, leaving just an inch or so of space between the door and the toilet; colors and lighting could be updated. Definitely expected better for a Hampton Inn as far as aesthetics but would cautiously recommend if you're looking for a place to stay outside of St. Louis. It's not far off "the main drag" so you can access food and shopping within minutes.

Overall stay was okay. Staff was polite and helpful. The cable in the room didn't work (very limited channels) and maintenance told us that the TV's were so old that they didn't work with the cable signal. Hotel was clean but was definitely long in the tooth.

Property is dated and rooms need to be updated. No refrigerator in room, charging ports and no smart TV.

When making the reservation, I requested a quiet room away from traffic noise. My room was on the 3rd floor practically looking over the Interstate traffic. Disappointed, I went to the front desk to ask for a quieter room and no staff showed up. One night is all I could handle. Breakfast was disappointing in that the food was all gone an hour before closing time. One staff person was managing the breakfast and front desk.

They do not have a working pool!!! It doesn’t look like it’s worked in a long time! It is by the free way so it’s loud all night long. The air conditioner unit in the rooms are very loud as well when they are on. Hotel is clean and staff is very friendly.

The bathroom needs a little help, there was no soap at the sink. They put the shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the shower in a bad spot. The tub was slick and was like a bowl at the bottom (wasn't flat). They did have a very nice TV, which is a plus.

Appreciated the staff. Miracle checked us in and she was great to work with and very helpful.

It took more than 20 minutes to check in. Because, the room was not ready at 6:00 PM. There was no bath towel at all. It is very lousy one. Please don't stay.

Staff was short. Had to wait several times for desk help while they were off somewhere. Beds were good and room was quiet. Found leftover clothes behind chair in room. Pool was cold and pool and area was dirty. No towels. Breakfast was a mess. Area was not clean. Out of waffle batter, out of orange juice, milk for cereal was warm, no yogurt, hot breakfast entree was about out, breakfast rolls were gone, bananas were past good and no other fruit. No breakfast attendant. Front desk guy was trying to work breakfast too. When he went by reminded him of the outages. After about half and hour he did try to refill the orange juice but we were done by then. I stayed here rather in downtown ST. Louis because most of those hotels charged a cover for breakfast. Would have been better to do that. I stay at Hamptions a lot and this was by far the worst I have stayed at. Room was smaller and older but beds were good. Bathroom was clean and well stocked. Pool was a big disappointment. Water was up to fill level but just didn't look that inviting and water was cold. Key lock for pool didn't work with our key. Desk help let us in. Trash can in pool area was over full. Hair and other debris around pool. Overall it appeared like the place was understaffed and there was little attention to detail that makes your stay a good one. I rated this bad because I came away with an unpleasant impression for most of the visit. Didn't live up to my expectations from other visits to Hamptions in the past.

I normally don't leave comments or do reviews like this but I have to give a shout out to the staff at Best Western they were absolutely amazing. They are currently renovating and upgrading the place but u wouldn't even know it because the crew is so discreet and respectful.The staff looked out for me the whole time I was there.overall I had a great stay at the Best Western and would stay there again no question.

Went to check in at 8pm at night and room was not ready, was told it would be 5 minutes. 45 minutes later, room was still not ready and got refund.

Our room was an average hotel room but had a small chaise lounge so 5 people (2kids) fit comfortably. The breakfast area is under construction currently but they still had all of the necessities for a general continental breakfast. The pool needed some cleaning. Otherwise nice stay. Great location

The hotel was quite clean considering they are/were remodeling. The check-in process was confusing but that was due to the construction. The staff we interacted with was polite and explained everything quite well. The pool was open and looked pretty clean but we didn't use it. The noise level was minimal even though we were right off a main highway/road. I would recommend this Best Western to friends and family.

The remodel is coming along great and as always, the staff are very friendly and the breakfast is good. Oh, its only 20 min. from the enterprise center, the home of the Blues!

Area is quiet & doesn't face traffic noise, hotel is always clean & comfortable, breakfast is an extra $13/person because breakfast isn't included but you can bring your own food if desired, amenities include pool, fitness center, conference & business center, microwave & fridge, & access to hot water during your stay, hotel is within walking distance to Circle K, TGI Fridays, Lottawatta Creek, & St. Clair Antique Mall & is within driving distance of St. Clair Square Mall.

The breakfast area was under construction so I could not get any breakfast, that was not listed on the website so did not know that when we book the hotel.

By the time we went down for breakfast the food was gone then another member of the staff walked in and was complaining about how the person in the kitchen didnt do his job and refill the food and was loud about it
