One of the two elevators went out of service within hours of our arrival. The employees NEVER marked it "Out of Order". It was not fix during our 2 day stay. Only 1 ice machine was working during our stay.

We stayed three nights at this hotel, and we enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff were very friendly. The hotel was clean (hall carpet a little dingy). Our room had tile floor which made the room feel clean and fresh. Beds were comfy and the room was equipped with a nice large television. We did not use the pool; however, we did walk out to take a look and the pool and pool area was nice and clean. The only negative is the elevator. Only one elevator was working and it was slow. Overall, we do recommend this hotel and will likely visit again if in the area.

Hotel was clean, nice & comfortable. However, a storm came up & knocked out ALL electric on Board St.and the Hotel did not have a backup generator! Still Peter at front desk was pleasant & got us a FLash Light and lights came back around 9:30/10pm. This morning we spoke w/manager who achknowledged they need to have backup generator. Still nice people & clean Hotel. Yes we would stay again.

Very dated. Rooms need better upkeeping. Mold in window sills and rooms musty. Bathroom had cracks in drywall and other wall finishes. Breakfast could have been better. The "gym" only had the treadmill working. The bed and pillows were comfortable though. Between a rock and hard place i could stay here again.

Comfortable, clean room, a quick ride to University of Richmond campus. Breakfast and gym could be improved. Breakfast room was small and crowded, food was fair at best. Gym was limited, and half of the one weight machine was broken. OK for a night or two.

Hotel was mediocre. The staff was very very nice and accommodating. The hotel itself is just a bit sad, toilet ran all night, air conditioner is loud, just a basic room. The hallways smelled terrible and have old gross carpeting . Just very basic. Pool was not opened and was advertised as having a pool.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was average and there was a variety of food. The breakfast staff was on top of stocking and cleaning and they had a daily menu so you knew what you'd get. I don't mind a dated facility as long as everything works and it is mandatory that it's clean! The sheets and towels were stained. They only have flooring in the rooms and it was so dirty it made the bottom of my feet brown. I had to wipe down most of the flat surfaces because they were either sticky, crusted with something or dusty. We had already moved rooms once because of a broken fridge so I didn't want to move again. I'm sure the staff would have helped but I was tired after a long day and didn't want to wait. I cleaned the surfaces and bought flip flops to walk around the room. :( The gym had 4 cardio machines, a weight lifting area, water, towels and a TV. I appreciated that! The pool was not open. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The Expedia reviews for this hotel were good, especially for the price. I took a chance and the hotel is underwhelming. The building is old and the hallways and elevators are dingy. The hallway carpet seems to be from the 1970s. The rooms are toupdated, the flooring is LVP and the furnishings are nice enough. The bathroom was clean, but old. Overall the room is fine, but the hotel overall is not the best.

Extremely disappointed. Expected it to be a decent place to stay based on the ratings, but it was not the case. Extremely dirty (floors not swept, visible, filth on the furniture, bathroom unclean), and the state of the room was very poor as well. (multiple holes in the wall in both the room and bathroom, evidence of water damage in the bathroom). Would never consider staying here again, and would probably avoid this brand as well. Disappointed that we paid money for this stay.

The the exterior of the hotel was good, the neighborhood was okay, not too shady. the floor of our room just had a little bit of dirt debris, definitely wore house shoes inside. it was clean overall. one of the mattresses did have some stains on it so I would recommend them changing out their mattresses every so often or adding more covers on to their mattresses before a new person comes into the room. of course the shower did not drain very well. the shower curtain had some dirt on it. but if I only had to stay for a night or two that would be an option for us again. We had a complimentary breakfast and they had good options and it tasted good

The staff was very nice and helpful. The beds were very comfortable, but I would not be able to stay there again because the floors were filthy all throughout the hotel in our room. The floor in our was very sticky. A very nice person from the hotel came up to clean it and his rag came back filthy dirty. Later I ran a rag over different parts of the floor and each time the rag came back filthy. Please invest in some new mops and throw away the old ones, clean your mop heads every day, truly filthy.

Not very clean. Stayed for three days and was told no cleaning till Monday. Not enough towels for two people, One bath and two small towels. Breakfast was not good, didn’t restock much. Eggs but then no sausage, sausage then no eggs. Slow on refilling milk, had to ask. Cleaning tables with same cloth they clean the inside of the muffin-bread bin.

Everything about the hotel was nice, but for a couple of nights I was awaken in the wee hours by people in the hall talking loud and going in and out the room, I also could hear the guy next to my room cursing loudly and fussing and talking loud. Then that morning I could hear the people outside pulling their luggage. I don't know how hotels decide what floor they put you on but I want to be bigger up

The room was adequate but it had bugs that look loke roaches. The walls are very thin. I could here the traffic on the main street also the guest in the hallway, next door and above. The microwave was beat up and should of been replaced a long time ago.

I was disappointed in the room because it was small, the bathroom was very small, and the shower head was low. The sink was outside the bathroom; the flooring had a large water damaged area (laminate floor). There was a rickety desk on wheels, and a very uncomfortable desk chair right in front of the TV. On the plus side, I liked the bed spread although it had a few stains on it. Also there are many places to plug in and charge your electronic items.

Overall the hotel was fine. The heating/cooling unit is very noisy so for those who sleep lightly that will be a problem. All plastic throwaway cups/glasses in room and at breakfast so not eco friendly. Room had an odd musty smell at first.

"Executive Hotel" - with no in room safes. Maid service for long stays 3 times a week and only for between 7AM and 1PM, 1/2 size pillows, furniture uncomfortable and not properly chosen for room layout. Quite odd. Breakfasts offer are typical and OK with no variety. Goof for no frills one nighters.

My son and I stayed 7 nights. The housekeeping staff was friendly and all the staff was friendly except for the Manager ( I believe Haroon Khagga). On the 6th day, we returned to our room about 8 pm. Went to shower and the towels were not replenished. I asked my son to ask for 2 bath towels while I showered. He was told to go down to the front desk to pick them up and he did. He returned. While wet from my shower he handed me 2 floor towels. My son said that's what he was given. I called down to the front desk to have towels brought up to the room. The manager said they would not do that and to come down to the front desk. I went down to the desk and spoke to the young man behind the counter. He gave me towels. The manager sitting in the back room overheard me saying to the young man, most hotels bring items up when a mistake is made. The manager said verbatim, " Oh shut up and get out of here!" I was applaud. I then said that all I said was that most hotels bring items up to the room. He said again while waving his hand to brush me away, " Oh shut up akd get out of here!" My stay was good until the 6th night insult from the Manager! I will not stay again.

The overall condition of the property was run down. Other than the lady that checked us in everybody else was unfriendly. The guard at the continental breakfast made it clear that she wanted to be somewhere else. The staff cleaning the rooms were very friendly.

The receptionist was very polite and checked me in rapidly. Also informed me of continental breakfast times. I don’t think I have a dislike.

We stayed three nights at this hotel, and we enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff were very friendly. The hotel was clean (hall carpet a little dingy). Our room had tile floor which made the room feel clean and fresh. Beds were comfy and the room was equipped with a nice large television. We did not use the pool; however, we did walk out to take a look and the pool and pool area was nice and clean. The only negative is the elevator. Only one elevator was working and it was slow. Overall, we do recommend this hotel and will likely visit again if in the area.

I arrived to the hotel 8 minutes before the designated check in time and walked to the front desk where I was greeted by a Kelly who put her hand up in a “talk to the hand” motion and told me that it wasn’t check in time yet. However a bus carrying a track team walked in directly behind me and was able to check in no problem. When asked the man behind the desk said well they called ahead. So if I had picked up the phone from my car it would have been no issue? The room was already ready, what does 8 minutes difference make? And neither here no there, there was no reason a customer service representative should have been so rude. Aside from that, the hotel smelled of chemicals, the shower got barely lukewarm, and we reserved a king with a pull out couch, but the couch had no sheets, blankets or pillows to use. Incredibly disappointed, not worth the price.

First night was ok. Next morning elevator was broken. Only stayed 2 nights and the morning of checkout realized that my debit card number was stolen. O my person it was given to was the front desk at check in. They charged $130+ dollars on my card. Still waiting to hear the from the manager. Never staying there again

I had driven for 2.5 hours, arriving around 2:35 to the front desk. I said I’d like to check in (if the room was available), and I was told that if I wanted to check in early (~20 minutes by this point), I would have to pay an extra $30. I said are you kidding? She said no, it was company policy. I left and came back at 3 pm. Ridiculous! I don’t plan on staying at a ‘Best Western’ again… She was nice, no problem with her personally.

We enjoyed our stay here. Very reasonable rates. Convenient location in light of the fact that our car had broken down and we had to Uber it over here. Olive Garden and Starbucks within walking distance.

Very conveniently close to the interstate. Quiet and very clean place. Check-in was quick and easy and Pete at the counter was friendly. Lots of restaurants close by too.

I stayed here for the Bailey Zimmerman concert and it was AMAZING! Check in was really quick. Rooms are clean and beds comfy. I love how the TVs have HDMI ports, I was able to play my video games. Breakfast was amazing with a variety of hot options, including eggs and sausage gravy. Cinnamon Toast Crunch in the cereal rotation. Place is close to lots and much cheaper than staying downtown.

It was great once we found it. Two different GPS’s couldn’t find it. One found the address but when we got to the street it’s on it never told us to turn. Hotel is hidden behind another hotel.

Nice place to stay overnight. Breakfast was good. It has two extra hot choices each day. Room was neat. Huge tv. Coffee maker and frig. Friendly checkin and checkout. Nice exercise room. Vending machine even with sundries.

The the exterior of the hotel was good, the neighborhood was okay, not too shady. the floor of our room just had a little bit of dirt debris, definitely wore house shoes inside. it was clean overall. one of the mattresses did have some stains on it so I would recommend them changing out their mattresses every so often or adding more covers on to their mattresses before a new person comes into the room. of course the shower did not drain very well. the shower curtain had some dirt on it. but if I only had to stay for a night or two that would be an option for us again. We had a complimentary breakfast and they had good options and it tasted good

They offered an excellent breakfast buffet. The swimming pool was nice. But the rooms are not very professionally made. The paint job on our room was very poor, but that really did not decrease the pleasure of our stay. It was a nice place and very good internet access, a nice comfortable bed.

Not very clean. Stayed for three days and was told no cleaning till Monday. Not enough towels for two people, One bath and two small towels. Breakfast was not good, didn’t restock much. Eggs but then no sausage, sausage then no eggs. Slow on refilling milk, had to ask. Cleaning tables with same cloth they clean the inside of the muffin-bread bin.

We were on the 2nd floor, 2 queen sized beds. The room was very small. The beds were comfortable and it was a good shower but the hotel is dated. There was no housekeeping service over the weekend. The bathroom only contained the toilet and shower, the sink was located in the common entryway. The dorm sized refrigerator was completely frosted up. There was no bag available for the ice bucket. The window shade could not be opened. The last morning we were there, breakfast was missing items - the pancake station was not working, there was no milk available. I told the front desk clerk about the milk but after 20 minutes there was still none. The lady who tends the breakfast was on her break that entire time - we could see her in the adjacent room looking at her phone. The hotel was about $30-$40 cheaper per night so I thought we would try it but I doubt we will stay there again.

Won't be back to Best Western. I have had good luck in the past, but that was then and this is now. Problems: First room had a frozen AC unit, no hair dryer and other problems. The second room had: Torn shower curtain, missing wash cloths, door keys timed out daily, AC unit had either an on or off setting (no middle), phone had a stuck-on message light, and a upon request maid service. The building in general had no AC in the hallways or lobby, a green pool, potholed parking lot, a so-so morning breakfast, and a poorly maintained fire alarm system. (Bldg. Fire Alarm went off at 3:30 a.m. the 2nd night. Fire trucks responded.) All in all a very bad stay in your hotel!
