The property was beautiful and the staff were nice. The property is a short drive away from the marina and bayfront stores, and the view from our balcony was spectacular. However all of the vending machines were out of order. The pool and saunas were under maintnence during our stay which was unfortunate.

Fun getaway for spring break. Pool is super warm and Jacuzzi great. Property well maintained. Room very clean . Our view was spectacular. Definitely coming back.

Lack of proper parking abilities is ridiculously lacking for both regular and especially for handicapped and larger pick -up parking. Onsite manager and evening onsite staff were rude and non helpful to our needs for handicap parking. One example: husband parked where the staff told him to park, then they had him move it. The manager would not wait to let him back in the crab area, while he moved the pickup. When he asked if she could wait and let him back in. She told him it was his problem. She could of got him a key or waited to let him back in. If they exspect handicapped to park so far away from rooms they should offer a shuttle. We felt singled out and stressed.The manager gets a minus rating for customer care and service. We may never come back or recommend this site again. The check in was the best part of the onsite help they were friendly and helpful. Also, a nice young man came around on day four to offer supplies which were lacking for our stay on check in. Like garage bags, dish washer soap and coffee. There was a person parked in the handicapped area near our room. No placard. Or handicapped plate. They were not harassing them, like us. We had a placard. Basically, they lack easy parking for dually and larger pick ups which pull boats long distance and have no concern for those customers. They do have a couple areas they could turn into special reserved parking for cuatomers like us. Motor carts where they could offer shuttle service.

Room was great (after we found it…this property is HUGE and confusing at times) wonderful view and very clean. Parking is an MAJOR issue, they have over 200 rooms and less than half the parking spaces. Amenities of the property were less than impressive. The pool area was filthy, no towels provided, there was a sign to call the front desk from the pool phone if the sauna wasn’t working because of a breaker issue but the phone didn’t work either. Never did get to use the sauna, front desk had no answers and said they didn’t even know about the sign. Decent place but needs some updating to their amenities and general maintenance.

Honestly, the room was wonderful. I loved being able to sit out on the deck both in the morning and in the evening and enjoying the view of the bay. Not all of them have bay rooms, so you need to make sure that you ask for it. The hot tub and pool were nice. The hot tub could be a little more spacious. They did have a second hot tub that was under construction. I loved that they had a full dock and wash and cook area for crab. The only thing that majorly disappointed I and my friend was that they had no air conditioning in the rooms. On the coast. I know that several would think this is not a big deal. However, we would come back to our room after spending a full day out and about and come back to a room that felt approximately 80°. They provide floor fans and there was a ceiling fan in my bedroom. But my understanding is not all of the bedrooms have ceiling fans and that was the only thing that saved me on this trip.

We love the Embarcadero! The private crabbing dock, cleaning and cooking station can’t be beat. Plus the pool and hot tub are great for relaxing. A downside of booking through Expedia, was that the images we were shown were not for the room we actually got… so we were pretty far from the main activities.

The crab dock and cooking facility is great for families and kids. However, this place is charging premium resort pricing for old, broken down facilities without a complementary breakfast, or room service or even a decent place for families to go eat. The sauna has to be reset due to "safety" feature on the sauna. This was the same issue 2 years ago and nothing has changed. They tell you to call the front desk and they will send someone to reset it, but they don't. I called 2 years ago during our stay and they never sent someone. I called ahead to see if the sauna was working this time and was told it was, but I got they same message. I called Friday night. They didn't send anyone. I kept checking. I called Saturday, they said they would send someone- they didn't. I tried again Sunday morning, and they finally did because it worked! They have two very small hot tubs, yet only one works. The other is covered with an old piece of plywood. It was the same two years ago. They have resurfaced the pool, but they didn't fix the hot tub or the Sauna? BTW, I had to get Band-Aids because that new surface cut my nephew's toes! And top it all off, check-in is at 4, but our room wasn't ready until 6, and when I read the reviews, this is a common problem. Their reply is that somewhere in the fine print, check-in could be as late as 6 (so they cover their butts). However, they don't offer anything like a free late check-out, or a voucher for the restaurant, or tickets to something in town

Our room smelled like mold when we walked in. It was overwhelming. The bathtub would not hold water and they sent someone out to fix it so I could take a bath, We stayed one night, and changed to another hotel for the remainder of our stay.

The room was beautiful but we tried to open a window and it was filled with ants and tons of maggots. The pool was closed and they didn’t think to mention that when we checked in. The bed was horribly uncomfortable. This was our second time here and we were so disappointed this time. I do still plan on coming back here but will request a different room if given this one again. Building G room 152 is gross and uncomfortable. It does have amazing views but not worth the maggots and hard bed. Also the upstairs neighbors had dogs and were fighting with each other the whole time so all we could hear was yelling and dogs running around.

So we enjoyed our stay in the area however our room was not acceptable. We didn’t complain because we were only there for two nights and doing a lot of traveling. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. The view was excellent, but the entire room was covered in shag carpet. It looked like it was from the 70s and it was absolutely stained and dirty, it made everything feel dirty shocked that this unit actually is being rented out !
So we enjoyed our stay in the area however our room was not acceptable. We didn’t complain because we were only there for two nights and doing a lot of traveling. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. The view was excellent, but the entire room was covered in shag carpet. Enjoyed the view of the bay and private deck. No AC but didn’t need it for spring. Room had some cleanliness issues which was our main concern. Closet doors didn’t work right. Bathroom was large, good shower. Lots of stairs to room. Very noisy on neighboring deck the first night. Would stay somewhere else next time.

My foot got cut from a piece of glass in the living room from this place. When I go talked to the front desk, she didn’t give me any solution, and was ignoring me when I was bleeding in front of her. Then she asked me “should I call you an ambulance?” I was bleeding and they just give me some Band-Aid and talking on the phone with someone. Do not rent from this place if you don’t want to experience some thing like me

We loved the location and the patio area. Checking in was fine, but the front desk person who helped us said maybe three words the whole time, and then just tossed the property map and room keys our way. Be prepared to walk up quite a few flights of stairs. We were on the top floor and had to go up four flights of narrow stairs to get to our room – it wasn’t an issue for us, but we could see others struggling with it. We so loved relaxing on the patio, and waking up to the best view of the bay and boats. Bed was fine, mattress was a little firm for our liking but not uncomfortable at all.
We loved the location and the patio area. Checking in was fine, but the front desk person who helped us said maybe three words the whole time, and then just tossed the property map and room keys our way. Be prepared to walk up quite a few flights of stairs. We were on the top floor and had to go up four flights of narrow stairs to get to our room – it wasn’t an issue for us, but we could see others struggling with it. We so loved relaxing on the patio, and waking up to the best view of the bay and boats. Bed was fine, mattress was a little firm for our liking but not uncomfortable at all.

The rooms are very nice and comfortable beds. Great views of the bay. The room was so hot it was unbearable. There was no a/c and a tiny window would not allow room to cool off. There was a door to balcony but it had no screen door and the area was swarming with huge flies. We asked for another room only to discover there is no a/c in any rooms. First off, I've never been to a hotel where the restaurant wasn't open every day. That was the first disappointment. Then we got to our room, and it was HOT. The blinds were open all afternoon letting in the full afternoon sun. It turns out they were broken. We had to leave every window open, plus the balcony door, to cool it down so we could sleep. Finally, they had the dumbest shower. Two showers with six heads a piece in the space of a standard bathtub. Yet the water pressure was low, so what's the point? Invest some of that shower $$$$ in blinds that close, please. I'm glad we only booked for one night.

In our case, the listing was outright misleading, calling a mini fridge, mini microwave and coffee maker a "kitchenette," There was no hair dryer, no closet, no dresser, and no bathroom rug either. The sound insulation was non-existent! Our neighbors in 433 had a screaming child whose male guardian believed he should scream louder than they could. The same occupants had a puppy who barked and cried all through the night. Really sad because the Reception staff who greeted us were nothing short of exceptional.

At check-in we were treated VERY disrespectful. The lady at the check-in counter treated us as if we not welcome. Simple question as to getting a boat slip or where to park our boat trailer she snapped back a response with no real directions as to where to proceed. She needs to find a new job or the Embarcadero is going to continue to get pour responses.

The property was older but well maintained. We arrived at 3:35 to check in and had to wait until 4:00. It was defiantly not because our room wasn't ready. At 4:00 the desk clerk just checked us in and never even looked to see if the room was ready or not! They never even offered to store our luggage, so we could enjoy the area. We have been to many hotels and it has never been a problem to check in a few minutes early. I'm sure he was following orders, but maybe management should discuss how bad reviews are received by others.

Lack of proper parking abilities is ridiculously lacking for both regular and especially for handicapped and larger pick -up parking. Onsite manager and evening onsite staff were rude and non helpful to our needs for handicap parking. One example: husband parked where the staff told him to park, then they had him move it. The manager would not wait to let him back in the crab area, while he moved the pickup. When he asked if she could wait and let him back in. She told him it was his problem. She could of got him a key or waited to let him back in. If they exspect handicapped to park so far away from rooms they should offer a shuttle. We felt singled out and stressed.The manager gets a minus rating for customer care and service. We may never come back or recommend this site again. The check in was the best part of the onsite help they were friendly and helpful. Also, a nice young man came around on day four to offer supplies which were lacking for our stay on check in. Like garage bags, dish washer soap and coffee. There was a person parked in the handicapped area near our room. No placard. Or handicapped plate. They were not harassing them, like us. We had a placard. Basically, they lack easy parking for dually and larger pick ups which pull boats long distance and have no concern for those customers. They do have a couple areas they could turn into special reserved parking for cuatomers like us. Motor carts where they could offer shuttle service.

Had lots of problems from registration to early departure. Pool was closed; hotel restaurant was closed until my last day. Difficult to get Housekeeping. Required to call front desk each day, and request, with no housekeeping provided. Once they did make the bed. But sheets were not changed. Floor was not cleaned, trash was not dumped. Some new towels were provided

Check in time states 4pm. I made a special request to be checked in on time, at 4pm. We got there at 4:28pm due to some traffic and were told our room wasn't ready. It wouldn't be ready until 6-6:30pm. I was a bit upset, drove 4+ hours and wasn't feeling the best at that point. We got an email at 7:02pm that the room was finally ready. The manager. The "guy in the pink suit" was great, friendly and had a great smile even though I was upset about the late check in situation. However, there was a front desk staff, Humberto that was impolite and unprofessional. His rude and dismissive demeanor made my son and I very uncomfortable. He needs more training in customer service and the way he speaks to guests.

My favorite property that I’ve stayed at with Expedia! Friendly front desk staff, sorry I didn’t get names, room was amazing! Very spacious, and more like a suite, very clean and quiet, with gorgeous views of the bay. Area was very cute and walkable. Nice fishing town with good restaurants and shops. Highly recommended!

It is an apartment complex. We were in a full apartment, kitchen, separate bedroom, living room and balcony. There is a main office area, and a restaurant but the hours didn’t work while we were there. It was rainy and cool so that effected out stay. But, it is an absolutely beautiful part of the coast. Gorgeous beach on the Pacific, very interesting bay area that was full of Sea Lions. You get into the town over a huge beautiful bridge. I would absolutely recommend this town and the apartment was great, there weas also a laundry facility which was great.

Check-in was a breeze as Heather ( front desk associate) was very pleasant! Room had a nautical theme and was very nice. Great view of the bay! Went to the restaurant on site and sat at the bar. Scott (bartender) was great! Good entertainment that evening…

This was a fun stay (only one night), but be sure to know that there is no A/C - at least not in the room we stayed in on the top floor, which was almost unbearable until night time because it was a hot day. Views were fantastic, check in and out was a breeze! There is also not continental breakfast, so know that ahead of time. Good stay overall.

Was not impressed with the restaurant at the resort scallops were actually good the hush puppies were not cooked all the way not sure if the waitress we had was new or not she took forever we had a party of 4 one one of my friends didn’t get her food tell way later we all finished ours at least they comped her food

Our room was comfortable and well appointed . We loved the view from our balcony of the bridge & bay . The only drawback was that breakfast /brunch was not offered until 10 am - so we missed out on that because we wanted to check out the parks before the weather turned rainy .

The crab dock and cooking facility is great for families and kids. However, this place is charging premium resort pricing for old, broken down facilities without a complementary breakfast, or room service or even a decent place for families to go eat. The sauna has to be reset due to "safety" feature on the sauna. This was the same issue 2 years ago and nothing has changed. They tell you to call the front desk and they will send someone to reset it, but they don't. I called 2 years ago during our stay and they never sent someone. I called ahead to see if the sauna was working this time and was told it was, but I got they same message. I called Friday night. They didn't send anyone. I kept checking. I called Saturday, they said they would send someone- they didn't. I tried again Sunday morning, and they finally did because it worked! They have two very small hot tubs, yet only one works. The other is covered with an old piece of plywood. It was the same two years ago. They have resurfaced the pool, but they didn't fix the hot tub or the Sauna? BTW, I had to get Band-Aids because that new surface cut my nephew's toes! And top it all off, check-in is at 4, but our room wasn't ready until 6, and when I read the reviews, this is a common problem. Their reply is that somewhere in the fine print, check-in could be as late as 6 (so they cover their butts). This is a great option in Newport! Quiet and the pool is nice, and boat docks are fun atmosphere. Close to bayfront shops. The fact that the listing mentions restaurant/bar onsite, yet it doesnt mention that they are both closed on Mondays!!!..is definitly a problem and needs to be noted! We stayed on a Monday night, and we were counting on those amenities.

It all was ok, but not exceptional. The room was very small, but pretty clean. I think the location of the pool and hot tubs to where our room was, was quite a walk. So not convenient. The restaurant was the biggest disappointment. Very expensive for what you got. We paid cash and the gal waiting our table accused us of shorting her $20. It all was ok, but not exceptional. The room was very small, but pretty clean. I think the location of the pool and hot tubs to where our room was, was quite a walk. So not convenient. The restaurant was the biggest disappointment. Very expensive for what you got. We paid cash and the gal waiting our table accused us of shorting her $20.
