An older hotel. Clean and convenient to our destination and priced right! Only complaint was wheelchair accessibility was somewhat difficult because of the narrow two glass door entrance with it being an older facility. Limited handicapped parking but ample spaces to accommodate all guests.

The property is beautiful and ample parking, conveniently located, Breakfast was a disappointment and also disappointed that there were no dining facilities on the property. Overall, though, the hotel is affordable, the rooms are LARGE and the property and hotel itself is stunning, definitely not what I expected from a Motel 8, I would definitely stay there again.

The whole facility needs an upgrade. Bathroom was dirty, carpet was dirty. The bathroom sink was broken/cracked. And the biggest surprise was there's no elevators!! Guests have to carry their bags up the stairs. Will not stay here next time.

Convenient location to event attended and reasonably priced. Handicap accessible room with the appropriate bathroom grab bars and both the bathroom and the room were neat and clean. This is an older hotel with older broken furniture and worn rugs. Doors are opened manually and provide just enough room for a power chair to pass through. Power chair was able to enter room but there is no room to go past the bathroom door. Window view was completely obscured by shrubbery. Desk manager "freshened" room before granting us access which left the room with a very strong floral odor. Beds were uncomfortable. Had stayed there several years prior and little if anything was new or different. Not likely to stay there again.

We just needed a place to flop for one night to break up a 13 hour trip and visit an old friend for dinner. For that reason, acceptable for the economical price. Not a clean freak, so okay for me. Typical included continental breakfast. Decor left a lot to be desired. Slept as good as I do anytime in a strange place. Two floors and no stairs. Would not go out of my way to stay here again.

There was dry blood on my sheets and I had to change it myself which is fine but I shouldn’t have to. Mattress protector had a pee stain on it shower curtain had mold on the bottom of it and there was hair in the tub and hit on the sheets.

A good room at a great price. View of the auto-parts store next door. I would have liked some sheer curtains for a bit of privacy while letting in some light, but there were none but the black-out curtains. Clean, quiet, a nice fridge, no complaints. The best I have stayed at such a low price.

Deep cleaning is needed at the property. The toilet in my room was moving because it was not attached to the floor. The bathroom sink was shattered, not sure how that happened. I checked out early and used shower at a local gym which was much cleaner. Bed and linens were clean.

Only negative thing was the bed itself. It was definitely an old mattress and was worn down in some spots and hard and lumpy with springs digging into you but tolerable. Besides that the room was clean and neat.

Definitely recommend the Super 8 if you are looking for something clean and convenient. Sandy, who helped us at the front desk accommodated our needs for a late check out due to my work schedule and provided it at no charge!

This hotel was fine. It was clean enough and comfortable. The cleaning staff twice entered our room without knocking - once when my son was in bed while my wife and I were at breakfast (at 7:30 am), and once an hour later while I was in the bathroom. Breakfast was sufficient, but not great. We had to ask for napkins and plates, and we never saw staff at breakfast except the front desk guy bringing the napkins when we asked. Again, the place was fine, but it had issues.

They have an option called pay at check in ITS A SCAM. If you never check in THEY STILL CHARGE YOU. I’m now out $400 and after saying they’d refund me it’s been almost 5 days and still no refund. Scam hotel do not book

The bathroom in our room had a light fixture over the sink which was cracked, and the same fixture light failed to fully come on for HOURS -- Finally went to bed, only to have same light come on at around 3:30 AM, forcing us to get up to turn it back off. No human is on duty when you arrive; you have to use a phone to call a hotel attendant to the Front Desk. No one answers the Front Desk phone, so you have to leave your room to search for an attendant to address your issue. The staff speak in a language other than English in your presence. Even worse, the tub stopper would not stay open, so water continued to collect while showering; had to wedge something in between drain & stopper IOT keep it open enough to drain. Property and its interior and facilities are dated and maintenance NEGLECTED. There is no elevator between the 1st and 2nd Floors. YOU (DON'T) GET WHAT YOU (DON'T) PAY FOR...

I could not contact the property by phone or email. The check in times were 2-4 pm and I was taking a late flight in. No one ever contacted me. They charged my credit card for the stay which I never went for. I had to book at room. Terrible terrible terrible. It seems like a crooked business. Shame on you!! Expedia was absolutely to help in this matter either!! Bad bad bad!!

We stayed here for the Jeff Cup showcase. The property was quiet, staff friendly and breakfast was ok. Our room was nice some previous damage to wall and to bathroom door. Good tv, microwave and refrigerator, beds were comfortable. Close to grocery store and places to eat.

We spent a few days here in Va, what I loved about the Motel was the entrance in the lobby’s decorative tile center flooring, the beautiful balcony going up towards the second floor, and even though the bathroom sink had a few cracks in it, and we had a problem with the toilet not flushing right the first day we got there the room, and bathroom were clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the Motel was pretty quite during our stay, the front desk staff were very nice, and the cleaning staff helped with our little problem with the toilet, and after that nice dent it worked fine, and they were very nice during our stay there, the breakfast was ok, and we loved the area, we had all the restaurants, and shops so close to were we were staying, that’s what I liked the most during our stay, thank you Super 8, I would definitely stay here next time we visit Virginia👍

Rooms were clean and appeared newly painted. Our room was spacious. Location was convenient but not fancy. Price was good. However, they advertise as pet friendly and they are NOT! As of 1/2023 they are service animals only. They advertise on line as pet friendly, they have a pets welcome sign at the front door, but service animals only sign at front desk.

Was not impressed with the morning breakfast. Two hours was not enough time. There was no one at the front desk in the morning to help with any breakfast issues. No coffee left and the toaster was not working properly.

This hotel was fine. It was clean enough and comfortable. The cleaning staff twice entered our room without knocking - once when my son was in bed while my wife and I were at breakfast (at 7:30 am), and once an hour later while I was in the bathroom. Breakfast was sufficient, but not great. We had to ask for napkins and plates, and we never saw staff at breakfast except the front desk guy bringing the napkins when we asked. Again, the place was fine, but it had issues.

Walked into the hotel and in my room within 15 minutes. Quiet and comfortable. Best night of sleep Ive had in a month. Room had everything I needed and breakfast had plenty of options.

No food options. Vending machine food was locked up behind counter. Short hours for desk clerk. Mr Patel saved some money there. Free "Breakfast" 6am-8:59am.....Walmart Store brand everything....yogurt, Cereal, milk , coffee.....free who can argue? Hotel was old renovated several times poorly/ cheaply each time.I will skip this one on my next trip to Richmond

We just needed a place to flop for one night to break up a 13 hour trip and visit an old friend for dinner. For that reason, acceptable for the economical price. Not a clean freak, so okay for me. Typical included continental breakfast. Decor left a lot to be desired. Slept as good as I do anytime in a strange place. Two floors and no stairs. Would not go out of my way to stay here again.

This hotel is in disrepair. Repairs and improvements being done are sub-par or below amature. The front sign isn't on at night, so the place is hard to find when the sun goes down. T.V. did Not work, refrigerator ticked and knocked so loud we lost sleep. The shower sprayed more water out of the spigot then the shower head. The toilet seat was so loose it flopped around when when you lifted it or touch it. Rust and molds are quite evident around the tub and shower. The curtain rod for the shower was broken, water went everywhere. If you are blind you will miss the bad repairs to walls ceilings and building. Staff is friendly when they see you, if you see them hiding behind thick bullet proof glass at the front counter.

Room was large, did not utilize breakfast as we were visiting family. Be aware, no elevator to 2nd floor. Room could have used more table tops, desk chairs, couch was extremely uncomfortable.
