Rodeway Inn & Suites Clarksville near Governors Square Mall

The owner of the place was very outgoing and friendly. I have to say that I think he has an out of touch concept of price vs. amenities. Site lists free breakfast for this hotel. He bragged about how he stopped doing it and closed his pool, so he can offer rooms for less than his competition. OK, but paying $20 - $30 more and getting that breakfast offsets the cost of said meal. Hotels.com did not show any hotels in the area with destination chargers. We did find out that a nearby place actually did have them. If we do come through there again, we will likely choose that place as the cost of using the nearby Electrify America chargers vs overnight charging while sleeping at a destination charger, and "free" breakfasts more than offset the higher priced room. Beds as usual were of the asphalt plank feel instead of a mattress.

Pool is not open. Make you pay in cash. Card machine doesnt work. Took over an hour and a half to check in. Room was run down. Broken handles and shelves. All gross

The door was very difficult to lock the carpet looked like something from the 70’s the pool was nasty and not open

I booked this hotel because it said it had an EV charger. When I got there and it didn't, both the hotel and the hotels.com employee and supervisor tried to gaslight me. Took almost an hour of standing in their 100⁰ lobby to get a refund, acted like they were all doing me a huge favor cuz I was the crazy one....

My room was facing the pool cover and was a breading ground for bugs. My daughter and I had to get a bug zapper and still got bug bites. The manager did not care.

NO ICE MACHINES WORKED. Confusing check in instructions from Hotels.com. Room was surprising quiet. NO ELECTRIC CHARGER ON PREMISES. Unable to use charger nearby unless you stay at hotel. Nice that it was next to chick fila.

Room was clean, comfortable, and the shower was great. Staff were responsive when the remote for the tv would not work. There are no elevators that I could find, and this could be a problem if you stay on the 3rd floor and have a good bit of luggage to move to your room.The pool was closed, covered and had dirty water standing on the cover with a lot of trash around it. Doesn't seem to have been used in a while. Overall, the room was comfy and the price was right.

No breakfast was disappointing

Upon checkin I was met with unfriendly staff , demanding a $50 cash deposit in addition to the rm costs. This was not stated on hotels.com app, when I expressed this and my concerns to the staff and that I was not carrying cash, he directed me to an atm an arms link away with a pricy surcharge in the lobby, most likely owned by the hotel owner in an effort to make $ off the very poorly kept and dirty facility. When I asked what the fee was for , j was told that since I had a non-smoking room this was to insure I did not smoke. I replied I did not smoke and would not pay this. After a few minutes of disputing the unadvertised cash deposit he relented and did not require it. Then the rm was dirty, blood on the sheets, hair and dirt on the tile who know what on the carpet as it was dimly lit even with several lights on. The curtains would not fully close and the door and it’s frame did not meet and you could see through the cracks. The Wi-Fi did not work on my phone if my laptop was on. The tv had very few channels and had delays and disruptions in service. And to top it all off my vehicle was stolen from the parking lot - it was recovered but all the contents were swiped clean at an est. value of $200-300.

They had roaches and bed bugs. I told the staff, they didn’t care and the furniture was dirty. I stayed there for 3 days and it was an awful experience. I don’t recommend my worst enemy to stay there.1

I originally booked for a king size smoking room just for them to say it was not available after paying for the room and to move me to a double bed room. The whole room looked like it had not been touched by anyone. Very fealty. Bed covers and sheets had stains and cigarette holes all in them.

Extremely disgusting conditions. I walked in and was there for maybe 3 minutes, seen bugs, fingerprints, dirt, etc everywhere from the bed to the shower. i tried to get a refund as i refuse to sleep in such nasty conditions and they made issues with that as well. very inconvenient for something that is their fault.

I asked if could I get a 12 pm check out he told he the room was already booked for the next day so I can to leave at 11 am check out time but he can give me 15 more mins. The lampshades were covered in mold. When we tried bringing it to their attention they said “our cleaning crew sprayed bleach on them”. But the bathroom was very clean and looked updated. Parking situation wasn’t all that great. But it was fine to just sleep and leave the next day

Bad bedding is not so clean Very uncomfortable sleep sleep on it

The stay was good overall. When we arrived they asked us for $50 cash as a deposit which we found sketchy but he wrote us a receipt out for it. The beds are small as they are only doubles in our room and there isn’t anything that stands out but for a passing through trip back home it was fine for the night. Water pressure was amazing. I was read the reviews before booking anywhere and overall I was pleased with the money I paid for this motel.

The drapes did not fully close and i fortunately had something so no one could see in the room. The sitting chair needed cleaning, but overall I was happy to be there.

This was basically the negative part. The hotel room was clean & easy parking. Kind of noisy with cars speeding out of parking lot and ongoing traffic at night. The receptionist staff was having a hard time and I understand it wasn’t his fault. He stated that office was closed and his boss wasn’t there and unfortunately only his boss has access to hotel email and for this reason he wasn’t able to confirm or accept my reservation with Expedia even after I show him my reservation confirmation email on my phone. Wasn’t enough. Hotel boss or manager need to handle this or they shouldn’t advertise with Expedia if reservation’s won’t be accepted when check in. First and last time I stay on this hotel. Never again..!

Clean, quiet, convenient, friendly!!! Just needs breakfast

The price is getting a little ridiculous considering this is really a low budget option for those of us that prefer that or that dint have another choice. It’s safe (seemingly) parking lot is lit and you can see you vehicle from most rooms. The rooms are not the Ritz Carlton but they are clean and comfortable, it is located conveniently, etc. When prices if everything began to increase and this hotel increase it’s rates above $80, I Stayed nearby for much in very similar rooms. Two years ago a common price price for a night was $51 total.

The woman who checked me in was very kind and welcoming, and was the best part of the stay. The property is extremely dated and does not look well-kept. One night after I had gone to bed, several men outside my door began banging looking for their friend, I guess? They went to several other doors and did the same and no one stopped them. I’m sure management had to be aware and did not confront them. For me, that makes it unsafe and certainly unsafe for solo travelers, especially women.

This particular property was very disapointing. It did not feel safe. the room that we were given was a SMOKING ROOM.. the smell was hideous, the person checking you in was behind a plexiglass window, felt like it was a BATES HOTEL. the Area around the place seemed scary, not safe.

I am a budget traveler, this was not my first stay there. Location, cleanliness, comfort and price make up for new furnishings and more up to date facilities and technology. I’m sure I paid half the price of the Fairmont across the street.

One exit has been blocked for a decent amount of time....months? It should offer a breakfast of some kind. That would be a major reason for not returning to this hotel.

Reception was poor. Asked gor deposit which was never mentioned while booking. No brakfast as includes as per requirement.
