I read the reviews before booking and was confused when I arrived. The carpet in the hallways and the room had not been vacuumed in a long time. We found food bits on the floor in our room and something red - tomato sauce or ketchup? - caked onto one of the (white) linen blankets. Overall the hotel needs a cleaning - the corners and sides of the elevator were gross, for example. Chose the hotel bc it has a gym - but the sole treadmill was broken. The only positives were very comfortable mattresses, good coverage by the blackout shade, and especially, the service at breakfast. I was stunned to find soy milk - many thanks to the thoughtful manager / employee who told me he stocks it for health-conscious guests, I’ve never seen non-dairy milk available at a hotel breakfast before - and plain oatmeal packets. That was a real treat, and a very thoughtful touch by that gentleman.

I liked that it was close by to several restaurants. I was extremely disappointed that they had no vending options at all in the entire hotel. Something like that should be posted. The motel 6 next door had them and they would have been cheaper.

Everything was newly updated in our room. They were still updating the foyer and gym. The breakfast set up was fantastic with so many options. It would be nice to have more ambiance in the pool area though

Check in was very easy. The front desk person was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a nice variety and has longer hours than I expected. The pool was freezing. It does stay open untill 11pm. There is an old photo of the pool area with a hot tub, there was even a hot tub timer. No hot tub, sadly.

Great place to stay! Close to a lot of restaurants, gas stations and stores. The staff of friendly and they have a buffet style breakfast. The pool was a little cold but we did get to enjoy it for 2 hours all to ourselves. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. I recommend staying here if you are in the Morgantown area!

Chose this hotel because of the hottub pictured in listing. After hours of driving in a snow storm thats what we needed. Showed up and showed up to find out there isnt one. No one could seem to help with this matter. If it werent so late i would have packed up and went else where. The snack pantry at front desk was pathetic. Three items to pick from. Not worth the price I paid

The initial room upon check in was not cleaned. We had to go back to the front desk to request another room. The second room we received smelled musty/moldy. We only stayed a day but when we woke up in the morning, went to have breakfast, and came back up to our room then a maid walked right in without knocking using the excuse her report said we already checked out. It was only 10:00am. So unacceptable. Very disappointed because we usually have great stays at Holiday Inn Express’ and they’re usually nice. Will not stay here again.

This hotel was really nice breakfast was a variety and they kept everything replenished and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean the only problem we had was I only gave overall stay less then excellent because THE AC WAS NOT CLEAN AND SMELLED LIKE MILDEW WHICH CAUSED ME TO GET SICK THOSE NEED CLEANED!!!

Needed a last minute stay due to a emergency so booked here. hotel did the trick however, walls are extremely thin, super noisy and you can hear everything. It was good for the one night, but would not book for an extended stay.

Hotel was listed as a half a mile from hospital. Was well over 4 miles away. Room was on 1st floor and did not have a curtain or blinds to cover the window. Worst stay of my life.

Overall a good stay but the air conditioner was so old and loud in our room. With two little kids this wasn't great. As well, the hand soap was put so high and away from the sink, very inconvenient location. Staff were great though!

Room was nicely sized. Had 2 queen beds. They were comfortable. Provided breakfast was good. Had hot and grab and go foods ( scrambled eggs, diced potatoes, bacon or sausage biscuits and gravy. Had hot water and coffee provided outside of breakfast time. All in all a good stay. Would stay again if in the area fooabangonfoods.

Alex, at the front desk was very professional, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Joe the breakfast attendant was also very friendly. The food was excellent, there was a nice variety, fully stocked, and the area was very clean. Joe is a very dedicated employee. The room was very clean and the king size bed was very comfortable. We would stay there again!

The hotel stay was solid with the exception of an alarm going off at 3:30 am (from a neighboring business). The hotel staff allowed us to move to a different room on the other side of the hotel. Friendly, helpful service.

Bathroom didn’t work, couldn't use the toilet in our room. Had to ride the elevator to the lobby to use the restroom. Front desk said there was no one there to fix it. Did not offer us another room. Front desk said the manager would contact us about possible refund or discount. No one ever contacted us.

Property was clean and experience was good after a bad start. Hotel policy is check in time is 3:00 pm. We arrived at 3:15 and was told they are having housekeeping issues and the room style I reserved wasn't ready. The front desk clerk excused himself and returned saying our room would be ready soon. No apology was offered ,just acted as if this is normal everyday practice. What is the use of a reservation if they cant even have your room ready by check in time?

Our check in was very nice. The gentleman looked up my IHG rewards number and upgraded our room for convenience. How nice without any prompting. That was very much appreciated.

I was surprised that housekeeping didn't do anything to the room after the first night. I was expecting clean towels and the bed made and the trash emptied, but that didn't happen until after the second night.

Hotel was listed as a half a mile from hospital. Was well over 4 miles away. Room was on 1st floor and did not have a curtain or blinds to cover the window. Worst stay of my life.

Great place to stay! Close to a lot of restaurants, gas stations and stores. The staff of friendly and they have a buffet style breakfast. The pool was a little cold but we did get to enjoy it for 2 hours all to ourselves. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. I recommend staying here if you are in the Morgantown area!

Hotel is still being renovated, its almost there. Good place if visiting WVU, close to campus with plenty of restaurants nearby and right off the highway. Thin walls, you hear everything. If you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs- but thats most every hotel.

Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel did not meet expectations. Upon arrival, it was apparent that the property was in need of more thorough cleaning and routine maintenance. Throughout our stay, the hotel appeared unclean, and I personally encountered and killed two cockroaches in our bathroom, which was very concerning. Additionally, the elevator was not functioning properly, requiring us to use the stairwells, where we observed multiple holes in the drywall and other signs of deferred maintenance. These issues contributed to the overall impression that the property is in need of significant repairs and upkeep. I do want to recognize the hotel staff, who were friendly, courteous, and appeared to be doing their best to assist guests despite the condition of the facility. My concerns are not with the employees, but rather with the overall maintenance and cleanliness of the property. I hope management will invest in comprehensive cleaning, pest control, and much-needed repairs to improve the guest experience. With attention to these issues, the hotel has the potential to provide a much more comfortable stay.
